Trandate ist ein Arzneimittel, das zur Behandlung von Bluthochdruck eingesetzt wird.
Es soll nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin eingenommen werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem Bestandteil von Trandate sowie bei Asthma darf dieses nicht eingenommen werden.
Bei Herzmuskelschwäche wird Ihnen der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin eine zusätzliche Behandlung verschreiben.
Ein Unterbrechen oder ein abruptes Abbrechen der Behandlung darf nur auf ausdrückliche ärztliche Anweisung erfolgen. Vor einer Narkose muss das Präparat nicht abgesetzt werden.
Trandate darf bei Asthma und bei gewissen Atemwegserkrankungen in der Vorgeschichte nicht eingenommen werden. Informieren Sie deshalb Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie früher an Asthma oder Atemwegserkrankungen gelitten haben.
Trandate kann die Wirkung gewisser Arzneimittel verändern und sollte auch mit bestimmten Arzneimitteln, die zur Behandlung von Herzrhythmusstörungen eingesetzt werden, nicht gleichzeitig eingenommen werden.
Die Wirkung von Trandate kann durch die gleichzeitige Einnahme von Schmerzmitteln, die beispielsweise Ibuprofen oder Indometacin enthalten, vermindert werden.
Trandate kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fähigkeit Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen und die Fahrtüchtigkeit beeinträchtigen!
Patientinnen und Patienten, die auf Azofarbstoffe, Acetylsalicylsäure sowie Rheuma- und Schmerzmittel (Prostaglandinhemmer) überempfindlich reagieren, sollen Trandate nicht anwenden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin wird entscheiden, ob Sie während der Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit Trandate einnehmen dürfen oder nicht.
Die Tabletten sind unzerkaut mit etwas Flüssigkeit und möglichst nach den Mahlzeiten einzunehmen.
Die Dosierung von Trandate wird durch den Arzt oder die Ärztin in Abhängigkeit des Schweregrades der Krankheit festgelegt.
Die Anwendung von Trandate ist nur für Erwachsene bestimmt.
Die übliche Anfangsdosis beträgt 2x täglich 1 Tablette zu 200 mg (morgens und abends) und kann, wenn vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verordnet, schrittweise erhöht werden. In gewissen Fällen kann die Behandlung auch mit 2 - 3x täglich 1 Tablette zu 100 mg eingeleitet werden. Die übliche Dosis zur Erhaltungstherapie beträgt 2x täglich 1 Tablette zu 200 mg. Falls notwendig kann der Arzt oder die Ärztin eine höhere Dosis bis max. 2400 mg pro Tag verordnen.
Bei älteren Patientinnen und Patienten beträgt die Anfangsdosis üblicherweise 2x täglich 1 Tablette zu 100 mg. Eine zufriedenstellende Blutdruckkontrolle kann möglicherweise mit einer tieferen Erhaltungsdosis als bei jüngeren Patienten erreicht werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Bei versehentlicher Einnahme einer Überdosis müssen Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin benachrichtigen.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Trandate Tabletten auftreten:
Die meisten Nebenwirkungen sind vorübergehend und treten in den ersten Wochen der Behandlung auf.
Folgende Nebenwirkung ist sehr häufig: Antikörper gegen Zellkernbestandteile.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen sind häufig, und die mit * markierten Nebenwirkungen können aber wieder im Verlauf der Behandlung verschwinden: Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen wie Hautausschläge, Juckreiz und Atemschwierigkeiten, verschwommenes Sehen, lageabhängiger Blutdruckabfall*, verstopfte Nase*, Übelkeit, erhöhte Leberwerte, Blasenentleerungsstörungen und Benommenheit.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen treten gelegentlich auf: Verstimmung*, Schwindel*, Kopfschmerzen*, Kribbeln in der Kopfhaut*, Magenschmerzen, Erbrechen, Schwitzen*, Krämpfe und Probleme mit dem Samenerguss.
Folgende Nebenwirkung tritt selten auf: verlangsamter Puls.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen treten sehr selten auf: Zittern während der Schwangerschaft, trockene Augen, Reizleitungsstörungen des Herzens, Leberfunktionsstörungen, Gelbsucht, Fieber, Muskelschmerzen, Harnverhalten und Wasseransammlung in den Knöcheln*.
Informieren Sie beim Auftreten von Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen oder Gelbsucht sofort Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.
Trandate kann Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen der Haut und Atmungsorgane auslösen, insbesondere bei Patientinnen und Patienten mit Asthma, Nesselfieber (chronischer Urtikaria) oder mit Überempfindlichkeit auf Acetylsalicylsäure und andere Rheuma- und Schmerzmittel.
In diesen Fällen müssen Sie sofort den Arzt oder die Ärztin konsultieren, ebenso bei unerklärlichen plötzlichen Muskelschmerzen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Trandate soll unter 30 °C und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
