Der Wirkstoff von Tasmaderm (Motretinid) ist ein Abkömmling des Vitamins A. Tasmaderm hemmt die verstärkte Verhornung der Haut und vermindert das Verstopfen der Talgkanäle. Auf diese Weise hemmt es die Entstehung von Mitessern und Pickeln und dämpft Entzündungen.
Tasmaderm wird deshalb zur äusserlichen Behandlung von Mitessern und vereinzelt auftretenden entzündlich-eitrigen Pickeln (das heisst bei leichter Akne) angewendet. Ferner eignet sich Tasmaderm zur Weiterbehandlung nach einer Schälkur. Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin kann Tasmaderm auch zusammen mit einem einzunehmenden Aknepräparat verschreiben.
Tasmaderm sollten Sie nicht gleichzeitig mit einem anderen Aknepräparat anwenden, ohne vorher Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin zu befragen.
Im Falle einer Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) auf einen oder mehrere der Inhaltsstoffe (siehe entsprechenden Abschnitt) sollten Sie das Präparat nicht verwenden.
Tasmaderm darf nicht bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren angewendet werden.
Tasmaderm darf nicht mit Schleimhäuten und vor allem nicht mit den Augen in Berührung kommen; es soll auch nicht zu nahe an Lippen und Nasenöffnungen aufgetragen werden.
Gleichzeitige Anwendung von mehreren lokalen Aknemitteln kann Trockenheit und Irritation der Haut verursachen und sollte nur auf Anweisung des Arztes erfolgen.
Vermeiden Sie während der Anwendung von Tasmaderm starke Sonnen- bzw. UV-Bestrahlung oder verwenden Sie zusätzlich möglichst fettarme Sonnenschutzpräparate mit hohem Sonnenschutzfaktor.
Tasmaderm soll nur auf die betroffenen Hautpartien und nicht auf verletzte Haut und grosse Körperflächen aufgetragen werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
? an anderen Krankheiten leiden;
? Allergien haben oder
? andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder stillen, dürfen Sie Tasmaderm nicht anwenden.
Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren:
Reinigen Sie vor jeder Anwendung wie gewohnt die von Pickeln befallenen Hautpartien. Tragen Sie danach zweimal täglich Tasmaderm Crème auf die gereinigte, trockene Haut auf. Behandeln Sie so die betroffenen Hautpartien zweimal täglich während mindestens sechs bis acht Wochen. Ein noch besseres Resultat erzielen Sie mit einer sechzehnwöchigen Behandlung. Tragen Sie die Crème mit dem Finger in dünner Schicht auf. Die Crème wird von Ihrer Haut vollständig aufgesogen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu stark oder zu schwach, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Tasmaderm auftreten:
Zu Beginn der Behandlung vorübergehende Rötung der Haut. Sollte die Reizung nach ein paar Tagen nicht nachlassen, so tragen Sie Tasmaderm nur noch einmal statt zweimal täglich auf oder fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel ist ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
