Symbioflor 1 ist ein Immunstimulanz (Mittel zur Steigerung der körpereigenen Abwehr) und enthält natürlich vorkommende Enterococcus faecalis Bakterien, die das Immunsystem günstig beeinflussen. Symbioflor 1 dient zur Behandlung von immer wiederkehrenden Infektionen der oberen und unteren Atemwege, besonders bei Entzündungen der Nebenhöhlen und der Bronchien.

1 ml enthält 0,962 mg Laktose. Falls Sie an einer Laktose-Unverträglichkeit leiden, ist bei der Anwendung Vorsicht geboten. Während einer Antibiotikum-Therapie darf Symbioflor 1 nicht angewandt werden. Nach einer Antibiotikum-Therapie muss mindestens 5 Tage zugewartet werden bevor Symbioflor 1 angewendet werden darf. Auswirkungen auf die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen sind nicht bekannt.

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten oder falls Sie stillen, sollte Symbioflor 1 nur auf ausdrückliche Anweisung Ihres darüber informierten Arztes oder Apothekers bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin eingenommen werden.
Erwachsene: 3 mal täglich 30 Tropfen auf einem Löffel einnehmen, ca. 1 Minute im Mund behalten und schlucken. Bei Kindern Dosis entsprechend reduzieren (z.B. Kinder 3 mal täglich 10-20 Tropfen). Schütteln Sie Symbioflor 1 vor Gebrauch gut! Es entsteht dadurch eine leichte Trübung. Nehmen Sie Symbioflor 1 morgens vor dem Frühstück, mittags vor dem Essen und abends vor dem Schlafen ein.
Dauer der Behandlung: Die Anwendungsdauer richtet sich nach der Schwere der vorliegenden Erkrankung und kann bei chronischen Infektionen bis zu 6 Monate betragen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Symbioflor 1 auftreten: Vereinzelt wird über Uebelkeit, Durchfall und Blähungen berichtet.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» angegebenen Datum verwendet werden. Symbioflor 1 ist in der verschlossenen Originalpackung nicht unter 2 °C und nicht über 25 °C und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren. Verschliessen Sie die Flasche nach Gebrauch sofort gut. Die angebrochene Flasche darf nicht länger als 4 Wochen im Kühlschrank (2-8 °C) gelagert werden. Das Datum des Anbruchs auf der Flasche notieren. Der deutlich wahrnehmbare, mitunter als unangenehm empfundene Geruch der Suspension ist kennzeichnend für das Arzneimittel und kann unterschiedlich stark auftreten. Bei starker Ausflockung der Lösung sollte Symbioflor 1 nicht mehr eingenommen werden. Symbioflor 1 enthält keine Konservierungsstoffe und ist daher bei unsachgemässem Gebrauch anfällig für Verunreinigungen. Diese werden vermieden, indem man die Flasche zum Gebrauch nur kurz öffnet und den Inhalt vorsichtig abtropfen lässt. Den Tropfenzähler nicht mit den Fingern berühren!
