Kalium ist ein lebensnotwendiges Element. Ein Kaliummangel kann Muskel- wie auch renale Störungen sowie Verdauungs- und Herzbeschwerden hervorrufen. Wenn Sie an folgenden Beschwerden leiden dürfen Sie Kalium Hausmann nicht einnehmen:
Niereninsuffizienz,
Insuffizienz der Nebennieren (z.B. unbehandelter Morbus Addison),
Magen-Darm-Geschwüre,
Dehydratation,
oder wenn Sie gewisse Diuretika einnehmen, welche die Einbehaltung von Kalium fördern oder gewisse Arzneimittel zur Blutdrucksenkung und z.B. Enalapril oder Captopril enthalten.
Die Retard Dragées sollten, im Falle einer Verengung des Magen-Darm-Traktes (Stenose) oder bei einer, infolge gewisser Krankheiten oder Behandlungen stark reduzierten Magen-Darm-Motilität, nicht angewendet werden.
Eine gewöhnliche Verstopfung ist jedoch keine Kontraindikation.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, besonders an einer Herzkrankheit oder an Muskelkrämpfen (angeborenen Myotonie, Thomsen-Krankheit), Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Ja, wenn der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin es verschreibt.
Die Dosierung muss jedem Patienten/jeder Patientin angepasst werden. Folgen Sie gewissenhaft den Anweisungen Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin. Folgende Dosierungen gelten als reine Durchschnittswerte.
Die tägliche Dosis sollte auf 2?4 individuelle Einnahmen verteilt werden. Einnahme während der Mahlzeiten.
Falls nicht anders vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verordnet:
Dragées Retard: 3?5 pro Tag.
Brausetabletten: 1?2 pro Tag.
Dragées Retard: 7?10 pro Tag.
Brausetabletten: 2?3 pro Tag.
Die Anwendung einer einzigen Tagesdosis ist unzweckmässig. Sie kann eine Überdosierung oder eine zu rasche Ausscheidung provozieren. Die Dauer der Behandlung wird vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschrieben.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Kalium Hausmann bei Kindern und Jugendlichen wurden bisher nicht geprüft.
Die Dragées werden unzerkaut mit viel Wasser eingenommen (nach dem Essen).
Brausetabletten in 1?2 dl Wasser auflösen; die Lösung langsam trinken.
Nach Herausnehmen einer Brausetablette ist das Röhrchen gut zu verschliessen.
Beim Vergessen einer Dosis die Behandlung weiterführen, aber nehmen Sie nicht mehrere Dosen auf einmal.
Eine Überdosierung kann neuromuskuläre sowie Herzstörungen hervorrufen (Kribbeln und schwere Glieder, Schwäche, Apathie, Lähmung, Blutdrucksenkung, Herzrhythmusstörungen, Schock).
In diesem Fall die Behandlung sofort abbrechen und den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin konsultieren.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Im Allgemeinen sind alle zwei Formen von Kalium Hausmann gut verträglich, vor allem, wenn sie während oder nach den Mahlzeiten mit genügend Wasser eingenommen werden.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können jedoch bei der Einnahme von Kalium Hausmann auftreten:
Selten (0,1?0,01%) während der Behandlung: Verdauungsstörungen (Brechreiz, Erbrechen, Durchfall, Bauchweh, Flatulenz), Jucken und/oder Hautausschlag sowie Nesselsucht.
Sehr selten (weniger als 0,01%): Obstruktion, Hämorrhagien und Ulkusbildung mit oder ohne Perforation im Magen-Darm-Bereich.
Bei Patienten mit gestörter Kalium-Nierenausscheidung und Verteilung im Körper kann sich eine Hyperkaliämie (zu hoher Kalium-Spiegel im Blut) entwickeln.
Sollten diese Symptome schwerwiegend sein, oder sollten die Stühle blutig oder schwarz sein, die Behandlung sofort abbrechen und dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin melden. Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Kalium Hausmann ist bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Die Brausetabletten sollen trocken aufbewahrt werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Die Matrix der Retard Dragées (Masse, welche die Wirksubstanz enthielt) kann unverändert im Stuhl wiedergefunden werden. Dies hat keinen Einfluss auf die Wirksamkeit des Produktes.
