Otipax ist eine Ohreninstillationslösung zur Linderung der Schmerzen und der Entzündung des Ohrs.
Otipax ist indiziert bei Ohrenschmerzen verschiedenen Ursprungs, wie bei:
Entzündungen des äusseren Gehörgangs oder des Trommelfells (z.B. bei Erkältungen oder Grippe), als ergänzendes Arzneimittel bei Mittelohrenentzündungen mit geschlossenem Trommelfell, Barotraumen (Verletzungen aufgrund brüsker Luftdruckunterschiede beim Tauchen oder während Flugreisen).
Otipax darf bei perforiertem Trommelfell und bei Allergie gegenüber einem der Inhaltsstoffe, vor allem Lidocain, nicht angewendet werden.
Bei eitrigem oder blutigem Ausfluss aus dem Ohr und bei gleichzeitig auftretendem Schwindel ist ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.
Suchen Sie ebenfalls Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin auf, falls die Schmerzen bis spätestens drei Tage nach Beginn der Behandlung mit Otipax nicht bessern sollten.
Ohrenschmerzen bei Kindern sollten grundsätzlich von einem Arzt bzw. einer Ärztin abgeklärt werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Während der Schwangerschaft sollte Otipax nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Um das unangenehme Gefühl der kalten Lösung im Ohr zu vermeiden, empfehlen wir, das Fläschchen vor dem Gebrauch zwischen den Händen auf Körpertemperatur zu erwärmen.
Erwachsene und Kinder ab 1 Jahr: 2?3mal täglich 4 Tropfen in das schmerzende Ohr träufeln.
Gebrauchsanweisung
Verschluss des Fläschchens abschrauben.
Tropfenzähler anschrauben.
Schutzkappe des Tropfenzählers abschrauben.
Fläschchen umdrehen und einen leichten Druck auf den Tropfenzähler ausüben, damit die Tropfen ausfliessen.
Nach Gebrauch Schutzkappe wieder zuschrauben.
Die Behandlungsdauer hängt vom Ergebnis der Therapie ab, sollte jedoch 10 Tage nicht überschreiten.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Otipax auftreten: leichte Schmerzen oder lokale allergische Reaktionen (Irritation oder Empfindlichkeit). Im letzteren Fall ist es angebracht, die Anwendung des Arzneimittels abzubrechen und den Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder Apothekerin zu verständigen.

Otipax bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
