Microlax ist ein Produkt zur rektalen Anwendung. Die wirksamen Bestandteile von Microlax führen zusammen zu einer Stuhlerweichung, und es kommt innerhalb von 5?20 Minuten zur schonenden Darmentleerung.
Microlax wird verwendet zur kurzfristigen Anwendung bei Stuhlverhärtung und der daraus entstehenden Verstopfung der unteren Darmabschnitte, zur Erleichterung des Stuhlgangs bei Stuhleindickung, vor und nach Operationen sowie als Stuhlförderungsmittel während der Schwangerschaft, vor der Geburt, im Wochenbett und in der Stillzeit.
Microlax darf nicht angewendet werden bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe.
Bei länger dauernder oder hochdosierter Anwendung können Wasser- und Mineralverluste (Kalium) eintreten sowie Schädigungen der Darmschleimhaut mit Verstärkung der Darmträgheit verursachen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.

Erwachsene und Kinder über 3 Jahre: Bei Erwachsenen und Kinder über 3 Jahren wird die Kanüle vollständig eingeführt.
Kinder unter 3 Jahren: Bei Kindern unter 3 Jahren wird die Kanüle nur bis zur Hälfte ihrer Länge eingeführt. Bitte beachten Sie den Markierungsring auf der Kanüle.
Ein Tropfen des Tubeninhaltes, auf die Kanüle gestrichen, genügt als Gleitmittel. In hartnäckigen Fällen können auch 2 Tuben benötigt werden. Die Wirkung tritt gewöhnlich nach 5?20 Minuten ein.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
In sehr seltenen Fällen wurde bei der Anwendung von Microlax folgenden Nebenwirkungen berichtet: Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (z.B. Juckreiz, Hautrötung, Schwellung am Ohr, Nesselfieber), Schmerzen- und Unbehagen im Bauchraum, Unbehagen im Bereich des Darmausgangs, Durchfall.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Arzneimittel für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren. Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahren. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
