Mg5-Oraleff führt dem Körper Magnesium in einer gut resorbierbaren Form ? gebunden an Asparaginsäure ? in ausreichenden Mengen zu. Magnesium ist ein lebensnotwendiges Element, das für viele Stoffwechselvorgänge im menschlichen Körper notwendig ist. Man geht davon aus, dass Erwachsene am Tag mindestens 300?400 mg Magnesium benötigen. Eine Brausetablette Mg5-Oraleff enthält 7,5 mmol Magnesium entsprechend 182 mg Magnesium als Magnesiumhydrogen-L-Aspartat-Dihydrat.
Mg5-Oraleff wird verwendet:
zur Deckung eines erhöhren Bedarfes (z.B. Wachstum, Hochleistungssport, Schwangerschaft, Stillzeit);
bei magnesiumarmer Ernährung;
bei Wadenkrämpfen.
Auf ärztliche Verordnung oder auf Rat eines Apothekers kann Mg5-Oraleff auch verwendet werden:
bei Muskelzuckungen;
bei Störungen der Muskeltätigkeit;
bei muskulären Krämpfen.
Mg5-Oraleff wird vom Arzt verschrieben:
bei vorzeitigen Wehen während der Schwangerschaft;
bei drohender Frühgeburt;
bei Störungen der Herztätigkeit;
bei anhaltendem Durchfall sowie als Zusatztherapie mit harntreibenden Medikamenten.
Patienten, die eine salzfreie Diät folgen, werden beachten, dass eine Brausetablette 0,3 g Natrium enthält.
Mg5-Oraleff darf in folgenden Fällen nicht verwendet werden:
bei Niereninsuffizienz,
bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Bestandteile,
bei Veranlagung zu Nierensteinbildung (Magnesium-Calcium-Amoniumphosphat-Steine),
bei schwerer Austrocknung des Körpers (Eksikkose),
bei Störungen der Erregungsleitung im Herzen,
bei Phenylketonurie (das Produkt enthält Aspartam).
Patienten, die an mässiger Niereninsuffizienz leiden, dürfen Mg5-Oraleff nur nach ärztlicher Rücksprache einnehmen.
Halten die Krämpfe länger als 10 Tage an, so ist ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin zu konsultieren.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden, wie z.B. Arzneimittel, die Eisen oder Fluor oder Tetracykline-Antibiotika enthalten.
Nach Massgabe Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin darf Mg5-Oraleff in der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit eingenommen werden.
Falls vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, gelten für Mg5-Oraleff folgende Dosierungsrichtlinien:
Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren: 1 bis 2mal täglich 1 Brausetablette in einem Glas Wasser.
Kinder ab 6 Jahren: 1mal täglich 1 Brausetablette in einem Glas Wasser.
Anwendung und Sicherheit von Mg5-Oraleff wurden bis heute nicht bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren methodisch geprüft.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Mg5-Oraleff auftreten: bei hoher Dosierung kann es zu weichen Stühlen kommen, die jedoch unbedenklich sind. Sollten Durchfälle auftreten, reduziert man die Tagesdosis oder setzt das Präparat ab, sofern es nicht vom Arzt, bzw. von der Ärztin verschrieben wurde.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Mg5-Oraleff ist an einem trockenen Ort, bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
