Malveol enthält Malve, eine Pflanze, die dank ihren Schleimstoffen eine lindernde Wirkung auf Verletzungen hat und das Abschwellen entzündeter Gewebe fördert. Malveol ist eine erweichende und antiseptische (desinfizierende) Emulsion zur lokalen Behandlung von Krankheiten des Rachens und der Mundschleimhaut.
Lokale Behandlung akuter Erkrankungen im Bereich der Mundhöhle und im Hals, wie Halsentzündungen, Stomatitis (Entzündungen der Mundschleimhaut), Gingivitis (Zahnfleischentzündungen) und Aphthen. Als unterstützende Behandlung bei Angina.
Wenn Sie auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe von Malveol allergisch sind, sollten Sie die Verwendung dieses Arzneimittels vermeiden.
Malveol darf nur von Patienten, die die Gurgeltechnik beherrschen angewendet werden.
Kinder und Jugendliche dürfen bei Fieber in Zusammenhang mit einer Grippe, Windpocken oder anderen viralen Erkrankungen Malveol nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung und nur als Mittel der zweiten Wahl anwenden. Falls während einer solchen Krankheit oder nach deren Heilung Bewusstseinsstörungen gefolgt von starkem Erbrechen auftreten, muss unverzüglich ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufgesucht werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!.
Während der Schwangerschaft und in der Stillzeit darf Malveol nur auf ärztlichen Rat angewendet werden.
Nach kräftigem Schütteln der Flasche einen Teelöffel Malveol in ½ Glas lauwarmes Wasser geben und gurgeln.
Nach einer Operation: Rachen und Mundhöhle vor und nach jeder Mahlzeit spülen (½ Teelöffel Malveol auf ½ Glas Wasser).
Für lokale Pinselungen: Malveol unverdünnt nach den Anweisungen des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin verwenden.
Für Mundspülungen: ½ Teelöffel Malveol auf ½ Glas lauwarmes Wasser.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Malveol bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Malveol darf nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung und nur als Mittel der zweiten Wahl bei Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Fieber in Zusammenhang mit einer viralen Erkrankung angewendet werden (siehe «Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Malveol Vorsicht geboten?»).
Die Lösung kann versehentlich geschluckt werden. Deshalb wird die Anwendung als Mundspülung oder zum Gurgeln bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren nicht empfohlen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
