Laxasan ist ein Abführmittel auf der Basis von Natriumpicosulfat, welches zu den Abführmitteln gehört, die eine anregende Wirkung auf die Dickdarmtätigkeit haben.
Laxasan wird zur Behandlung von gelegentlicher Verstopfung (z.B. bei Kostumstellung, bei Ortswechsel oder bei Bettruhe) verwendet. Das Präparat darf nur gelegentlich und nicht länger als 1 bis 2 Wochen eingenommen werden. Langzeitbehandlungen gehören unter ärztliche Kontrolle.
Wenn Sie an Verstopfungen leiden, sollten Sie ballaststoffreiche Nahrung (Gemüse, Früchte, Vollkornbrot) sowie viel und regelmässig Flüssigkeit einnehmen und auf körperliche Betätigung (Sport) achten!
Hinweise für Diabetiker und Diabetikerinnen: Laxasan Tropfen sind zuckerfrei. Eine Tagesdosis von 30 Tropfen entspricht 0,1 BW.
Nicht anwenden bei Darmverschluss, bei entzündlichen Prozessen in der Bauchhöhle, bei Krämpfen, Koliken, sowie bei Kindern unter 4 Jahren. Bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe.
Wie alle Abführmittel sollte auch Laxasan nicht über längere Zeit eingenommen werden. Patienten und Patientinnen mit schweren Krankheiten sollen vor der Einnahme von Laxasan Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin um Rat fragen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie
? an anderen Krankheiten leiden
? Allergien haben oder
? andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, den Apotheker oder den Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, die Apothekerin oder die Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Im Allgemeinen, wenn nicht anders verordnet:
Erwachsene: 10?15 Tropfen, bei hartnäckiger Verstopfung 20?30 Tropfen.
Kinder von 12?16 Jahren: 5?15 Tropfen.
Kinder von 4?12 Jahren: nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin.
Die Tropfen mit oder ohne Wasser einnehmen. Die Wirkung kann nach 4 bis 6 Stunden nach Einnahme einsetzen. Abends eingenommen, wirkt es aufgrund einer längeren Darm-Passagezeit erst am nächsten Morgen.
Ist der Stuhl nach der ersten Einnahme zu weich oder zu hart, so ist die Dosierung bei den folgenden Einnahmen um jeweils 2?3 Tropfen zu vermindern oder zu erhöhen, bis die optimale Dosis gefunden ist.
Achtung: Zur genauen Dosierung muss das Fläschchen beim Tropfenzählen senkrecht gehalten werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Laxasan auftreten: Bei zu hoher Dosierung können sich Koliken einstellen, verbunden mit flüssigem Stuhl.
In seltenen Fällen kann das Präparat Blähungen oder Bauchkrämpfe verursachen. Bei hohen Dosen, längerem oder zu häufigem Gebrauch können Durchfälle mit Wasserverlust und Störungen des Mineralstoffhaushaltes (u.a. Kaliumverlust) auftreten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Laxasan ist wie alle Arzneimittel vor Kindern geschützt aufzubewahren.
Laxasan ist bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Nach dem Öffnen beträgt die Haltbarkeit des Arzneimittels 12 Wochen.
