Hexamedal ist eine Mund- und Rachenspüllösung zur Behandlung von Zahnfleischentzündungen, Zahnfleischbluten, Aphten, Rachenentzündungen, vor- und nachoperative Behandlung bei Mandeloperationen, Verletzungen im Mund- und Rachenraum, Mundhygiene, Mundgeruch. Es wird auch zur unterstützenden Behandlung von Angina verwendet.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der lnhaltsstoffe darf Hexamedal nicht angewendet werden.
Bei einer Wurzelhautentzündung soll Hexamedal mit Vorsicht angewendet werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Bei höherem Fieber oder wenn innerhalb einer Woche keine Besserung eintritt, ist ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.
Bei regelmässigem Gebrauch kann eine Gelb- oder Braunfärbung der Zähne auftreten, die sich durch intensive Zahnreinigung entfernen lässt.
Bei bestehender oder geplanter Schwangerschaft sowie in der Stillzeit sollten Sie möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Falls vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet: mit 15 ml (Messgefäss) Hexamedal eine halbe Minute lang den Mund spülen oder gurgeln.
Nachher Lösung ausspucken.
Für lokale Behandlung, Hexamedal auf die erkrankte Stelle mit einem spüllösunggetränkten Wattetupfer bringen.
Die Behandlung mit Hexamedal soll zweimal täglich, auch häufiger erfolgen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit lhrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Hexamedal SpüIlösung wurde bei Kindern nicht geprüft.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Hexamedal auftreten:
Bei langfristiger Anwendung kommt es häufig zu einer Zahnverfärbung, welche sich jedoch in den meisten Fällen nach Absetzen des Präparates wieder zurückbildet.
Gelegentlich treten Störungen der Geschmacksempfindung auf.
Selten sind allergische Reaktionen.
