Ginvapast wird zur Behandlung von entzündetem und schmerzendem Zahnfleisch, Zahnfleischtaschen, Aphthen und Druckstellen unter Prothesen angewendet. Ginvapast erhöht die Widerstandskraft der Gefässwände, beschleunigt die Wundheilung und ist schmerzlindernd.
Bei einer Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe. Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Ginvapast bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch sind keine besonderen Vorsichtsmassnahmen zu befolgen.

Während oder vor einer geplanten Schwangerschaft sowie in der Stillzeit darf Ginvapast nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt angewendet werden. Ginvapast enthält unter anderem Vitamin A. Es ist zu berücksichtigen, dass mit einer ausgewogenen Ernährung der Tagesbedarf an Vitamin A (enthalten z.B. in Leber, leberhaltigen Erzeugnissen, Milch, Milchprodukten, Margarine, Eier, Speiseöl) gedeckt bzw. sogar überschritten (Leber, allenfalls leberhaltige Erzeugnisse) wird. Es wurde festgestellt, dass das Risiko gewisser Missbildungen bei Neugeborenen mit der täglichen Einnahme von hohen Vitamin A-Dosen während der Schwangerschaft ansteigt. Beim Verzehr von grossen Mengen Vitamin A-haltiger Nahrungsmittel soll daher die gleichzeitige Anwendung von Ginvapast vermieden werden. Beim Verzehr von Leber darf Ginvapast nicht angewendet werden.
Wenden Sie sich im Zweifelsfalle an Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Falls vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet verwenden Erwachsene Ginvapast wie folgt: Ginvapast entweder mit einer Massagebürste oder der vorher sauber gewaschenen Fingerspitze auftragen. Je nach Grösse der Entzündung einen 1?2 cm langen Pastenstrang täglich 2 bis 3 mal während mindestens 1 Minute in kleinen, kreisrunden Bewegungen einmassieren. Danach keine Mundspülung vornehmen, damit die Wirkung lange anhält.
Nach Abklingen der Krankheitserscheinungen und erfolgter Heilung soll Ginvapast während einiger Zeit, am besten abends vor dem Schlafengehen, weiterverwendet werden. Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Ginvapast bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Für Ginvapast sind bisher bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch keine Nebenwirkungen beobachtet worden.
Wenn Sie trotzdem Nebenwirkungen bemerken, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Die Tube nach Gebrauch sofort verschliessen. Sauerstoff färbt die Paste dunkel.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern. Nicht in Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren. Das Arzneimittel darf nur biszu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
