Feniallerg hemmt die Wirkung von Histamin, eine der Substanzen, die bei allergischen Reaktionen freigesetzt werden. Feniallerg lindert den Juckreiz und die Hautreizungen, die durch allergische Reaktionen hervorgerufen werden, vermindert Ödeme (krankhafte Flüssigkeitsansammlung in der Haut oder der Schleimhaut) und lindert die Symptome allergischen Schnupfens, wie Nasenlaufen, Tränenfluss und Niesreiz.
Feniallerg wird in folgenden Fällen angewendet:
Sie dürfen Feniallerg nicht anwenden, wenn Sie auf den Wirkstoff Dimetindenmaleat oder einen der Hilfsstoffe allergisch (überempfindlich) sind.
Bei Neugeborenen unter 1 Monat, insbesondere bei Frühgeborenen, darf Feniallerg nicht angewendet werden.
Sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin falls oben erwähntes zutrifft, denn dann ist Feniallerg für Sie nicht geeignet.

Wenn Sie eines der nachfolgenden Arzneimittel einnehmen, sollte die Einnahme von Feniallerg nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin erfolgen:
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen! Wie andere Antihistaminika, kann Feniallerg die Wirkung von Alkohol verstärken.
Feniallerg Tropfen: Bei Kleinkindern ab 1 Monat bis 1 Jahr darf Feniallerg nur auf ärztliche Empfehlung angewendet werden. Die empfohlene Dosierung darf nicht überschritten werden. Die dämpfende Wirkung kann während des Schlafes von Atempausen begleitet sein. Besonders bei Kindern können Antihistaminika Erregungszustände auslösen.
Feniallerg Dragées enthalten Laktose und Saccharose: Wenn Sie eine Intoleranz gegen gewisse Zucker haben, sollten Sie dieses Arzneimittel nicht einnehmen.
Feniallerg Dragées enthalten Weizenstärke; die Dragées können von Patienten, welche an Zöliakie leiden, eingenommen werden. Patienten mit einer Weizenstärkeallergie (anders als Zöliakie) sollten dieses Arzneimittel nicht einnehmen.

Wenn Sie schwanger sind, sollten Sie Feniallerg nicht einnehmen, es sei denn, Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin habe es Ihnen verordnet. Die Einnahme von Feniallerg während dem Stillen wird nicht empfohlen.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen, wenn Sie glauben schwanger zu sein oder eine Schwangerschaft planen, fragen Sie Ihren Arzt/Ihre Ärztin bevor Sie dieses Arzneimittel einnehmen.
Tropfen 1 mg/ml: 20-40 Tropfen, 3-mal täglich.
Dragées 1 mg: 1-2 Dragées, 3-mal täglich.
Bei Kleinkindern ab 1 Monat bis 1 Jahr dürfen Feniallerg Tropfen nur gemäss ärztlicher Empfehlung angewendet werden.
Die empfohlene Tagesdosis beträgt:
2 Tropfen pro kg Körpergewicht pro Tag, aufgeteilt auf 3 Einnahmen.

Die optimale Dosis wird von Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin bestimmt.
Die Feniallerg-Tropfen sind hitzeempfindlich. Geben Sie die Tropfen deshalb im letzten Moment der lauwarmen Schoppenflasche bei. Wenn das Kind bereits mit dem Löffel essen kann, geben Sie ihm die angenehm schmeckenden Tropfen unverdünnt mit einem Teelöffel.
Falls Sie zuviel Feniallerg eingenommen haben: Sprechen Sie unverzüglich mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Wenn Sie eine Dosis vergessen haben: Nehmen Sie Feniallerg ein, sobald Sie das Versäumnis bemerkt haben, ausser es liegen weniger als 2 Stunden vor bis zur geplanten Einnahme. In diesem Fall sollten Sie die vergessene Dosis nicht einnehmen, sondern die nächste Dosis zum üblichen Zeitpunkt gemäss dem Dosierungsschema einnehmen. Nehmen Sie nicht die doppelte Dosis ein, um die vergessene Dosis nachzuholen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Wie alle Arzneimittel kann Feniallerg Nebenwirkungen hervorrufen, die aber nicht bei jedem Patient auftreten müssen.
Stoppen Sie die Behandlung mit Feniallerg und informieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wenn bei Ihnen eines oder mehrere der folgenden Symptome auftreten, die Zeichen einer allergischen Reaktion sein können:
Diese Nebenwirkungen treten sehr selten auf (bei weniger als 1 von 10?000 Patienten).
Andere Nebenwirkungen sind meistens leicht und vorübergehender Natur. Sie treten vor allem zu Behandlungsbeginn auf.
Sehr häufige Nebenwirkungen (bei mehr als 1 von 10 Patienten): Müdigkeit
Häufige Nebenwirkungen (bei 1-10 von 100 Patienten): Schläfrigkeit, Nervosität
Seltene Nebenwirkungen (bei 1-10 von 10?000 Patienten): Erregungszustände, Kopfschmerzen, Schwindel, gastrointestinale Störungen, wie Erbrechen, Trockenheit des Mundes oder des Rachens.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

Dragées: Vor Licht schützen und bei 15-30 °C aufbewahren.
Tropfen: Vor Licht schützen und bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) lagern.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
