Fastum Gel ist ein sogenannter nichtsteroidaler Entzündungshemmer mit entzündungshemmenden und schmerzstillenden Eigenschaften. Das Gel zieht in die Haut ein und hat einen kühlenden Effekt.
Fastum Gel wird zur lokalen Behandlung schmerzhafter entzündlicher oder verletzungsbedingter Erkrankungen der Gelenke, Sehnen, Bänder und Muskeln eingesetzt.
Fastum darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Fastum Gel darf nicht angewendet werden, falls Sie allergisch auf Ketoprofen, Tiaprofensäure oder andere nichtsteroidale Entzündungshemmer, Acetylsalicylsäure, Fenofibrat (zur Senkung der Blutfette), UV-Blocker, Parfums oder einen der Hilfsstoffe sind.
Brechen Sie die Behandlung mit Fastum sofort ab, falls bei Ihnen eine Hautreaktion auftritt, inklusive solcher die im Zusammenhang mit der gleichzeitigen Verwendung von Octocrylen-haltigen Produkten auftreten. Octocrylen ist ein Zusatzstoff in manchen Kosmetik- oder Hygieneprodukten wie Shampoo, After-Shave, Dusch- und Badegel, Hautcreme, Lippenstift, Anti-Aging Creme, Make-up-Entferner und Haarspray.
Die behandelten Hautstellen dürfen während der Behandlung mit Fastum und zwei Wochen danach keinem Sonnenlicht und keiner Bestrahlung mit UV-Licht im Solarium ausgesetzt werden.
Speziell im Laufe einer Langzeitbehandlung kann eine lokale Sensibilisierung oder Irritation auftreten.
Das Präparat soll nicht auf Schleimhäute, offene Wunden und Hautläsionen aufgetragen werden.
Die Bestrahlung mit Sonnenlicht (auch bei dunstigem Wetter) oder mit UVA-Licht (Solarium) von Hautstellen, die mit Fastum Gel in Berührung kamen, kann möglicherweise schwerwiegende Hautreaktionen (Photosensibilisierung) hervorrufen. Aus diesem Grund ist es wichtig:
? die behandelten Bereiche während sowie zwei Wochen nach der Behandlung durch Kleidung vor Bestrahlung mit Sonnenlicht zu schützen, um das Risiko einer Photosensibilisierung zu vermeiden;
? die Hände nach jeder Anwendung des Produktes gut zu waschen.
Die Behandlung sollte sofort abgesetzt werden, wenn sich Hautreaktionen nach der Anwendung von Fastum Gel zeigen.
Es wird eine Überwachung bei gleichzeitiger Verwendung von Blutgerinnungspräparaten mit Cumarin/Warfarin empfohlen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten oder wenn Sie stillen, sollte Fastum Gel ausschliesslich nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin angewendet werden. Im letzten Schwangerschaftsdrittel sollte Fastum Gel nicht über längere Zeit und grossflächig angewendet werden.
Auf die betroffene Hautstelle werden ein- bis zweimal täglich 3 bis 5 cm Gel oder mehr (abhängig von der Ausdehnung der Erkrankung) aufgetragen und zur Verbesserung der Aufnahme leicht einmassiert.
Fastum Gel sollte bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nicht angewendet werden, da für diese Altersgruppe keine ausreichenden Erfahrungen vorliegen.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Gelegentlich können Hautreaktionen auftreten wie: Rötungen, Brennen, Juckreiz, Hautentzündungen, Kontaktekzem, Bläschenbildung, Ausschläge, allergische Hautreaktionen.
Selten sind Fälle schwerer Hautreaktionen mit Bläschen oder Pusteln, die sich ausbreiten oder generalisieren können, aufgetreten.
Sehr selten können auch Nierenfunktionsstörungen auftreten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Fastum Gel Dispenser: Vor der ersten Anwendung kann mehrmaliges Betätigen der Pumpe erforderlich sein. Alternativ kann mit der Verschlusskappe der Boden des Spenders leicht nach oben gedrückt werden bis das Gel freigesetzt wird.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern und vor Kinderhand unerreichbar aufbewahren.
