Die Excipial U-Präparate verbessern und normalisieren den Hautzustand, indem sie den natürlichen Schutzfilm mit Lipiden und einem Feuchthalter ergänzen. Dadurch glätten sie die rauhe Oberfläche und machen die Haut elastisch und widerstandsfähig.
Excipial U Hydrolotio ist eine feuchtigkeitsspendende Körpermilch vom Öl-in-Wasser-Typ mit dem Wirkstoff Harnstoff. Sie weist einen sehr hohen Wasseranteil auf, ist nur schwach fettend und gut sekret- und wärmedurchlässig, sie wirkt kühlend und lässt sich mit Wasser abwaschen.
Excipial U Lipolotio enthält ebenfalls den Wirkstoff Harnstoff in höherer Konzentration und in einer stärker fettenden Wasser-in-Öl-Emulsion. Sie ist wasserfest und zieht trotz hohem Fettanteil rasch ein. Excipial U Lipolotio ist parfumiert und unparfumiert erhältlich.
Beide Produkte sind speziell geeignet für die grossflächige Anwendung zum Schutz und zur Pflege empfindlicher oder leicht entzündeter Haut: Excipial U Hydrolotio zur Anwendung beim normalen bis leicht trockenen Hauttyp, Excipial U Lipolotio bei trockener bis sehr trockener Haut und als unterstützende Massnahme bei Austrocknungskrankheiten. Beide Präparate eignen sich für die abwechselnde Behandlung mit stark wirksamen Hautarzneien (z.B. tagsüber Excipial U, nachts Kortikoidpräparate) und zur Pflege der Haut nach Abheilung von Hautkrankheiten.
Bei einer bekannten Überempfindlichkeit auf die Inhaltsstoffe von Excipial U Hydrolotio oder U Lipolotio darf das betreffende Produkt nicht angewendet werden.
Bei Säuglingen darf Excipial U nicht angewendet werden, da es nicht systematisch betreffend Hautirritationen überprüft worden ist.
Excipial U darf nicht auf Wunden bzw. offenen Hautpartien angewendet werden.
Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch sind keine besonderen Vorsichtsmassnahmen zu befolgen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch darf Excipial U in der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit angewendet werden.
Vor dem Ansetzen des Säuglings muss die an Brustwarzen haftende Lotio sorgfältig und vollständig entfernt werden.
Tragen Sie die Lotio zwei- bis dreimal täglich auf die erkrankten oder empfindlichen Hautstellen auf. Bei Anwendung von Excipial U zusammen mit wirksamen Hautheilmitteln legt der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin das Behandlungsschema fest.
Excipial U kann auch bei Kleinkindern ab ca. einem Jahr angewendet werden. Die Produkte sollen nicht auf entzündliche, gerötete Haut aufgetragen werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Excipial U auftreten:
Bei der Zusammensetzung wird besonderer Wert auf die Hautverträglichkeit der Bestandteile gelegt. Dennoch kann eine Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion nicht völlig ausgeschlossen werden. Wenn Sie als Folge der Anwendung Juckreiz oder Rötungen der Haut feststellen, sollten Sie die Anwendung des Präparates unterbrechen.
In Einzelfällen wird unmittelbar nach dem Auftragen eine leichte Irritation beobachtet, die aber rasch verschwindet. In Einzelfällen kann es zu einer eigentlichen Hautrötung und Schuppung kommen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern. Für Kinderhand unerreichbar aufbewahren.
