Betoptic S Single Dose ist ein Arzneimittel zur Senkung des erhöhten Augeninnendrucks bei Glaukom (Grüner Star). Betoptic S Single Dose Augentropfensuspension ist unkonserviert und somit geeignet für Personen mit Überempfindlichkeit auf Konservierungsstoffe. Dieses Arzneimittel ist rezeptpflichtig und nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung anzuwenden.
Das Arzneimittel nie von sich aus zur Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen oder für Drittpersonen verwenden.
Linsen vor der Anwendung des Arzneimittels aus den Augen entfernen und erst 15 Minuten später wieder auf die Augen setzen.
Bei einer bekannten oder vermuteten Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) auf einen Inhaltsstoff von Betoptic S Single Dose Augentropfensuspension.
Patienten mit schweren Herzkrankheiten und schweren Atemwegserkrankungen (wie schweres Asthma und schwere chronisch obstruktive Pneumopathie) dürfen das Arzneimittel nicht anwenden.
Vorübergehendes Verschwommensehen und andere Seheinschränkungen können die Fähigkeit beeinträchtigen, am Strassenverkehr teilzunehmen oder Maschinen zu bedienen. Wenn sich nach dem Einbringen des Arzneimittels Verschwommensehen einstellt, dürfen Patientinnen und Patienten nicht am Strassenverkehr teilnehmen oder Maschinen bedienen, bis diese Beeinträchtigung abgeklungen ist.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden (insbesondere Herzerkrankungen, Gefässerkrankungen, Atemwegserkrankungen, Hornhauterkrankungen, Diabetes und Funktionsstörungen der Schilddrüse), Muskelschwäche oder Allergien haben oder wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder am Auge anwenden. Informieren Sie ebenfalls Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn eine Operation bevorsteht.
Wenn Sie unter 18 Jahren sind, sollten Sie Betoptic S Single Dose Augentropfensuspension nicht anwenden, da zur Sicherheit von Betoptic S Single Dose Augentropfensuspension für Patienten unter 18 Jahren bisher keine ausreichenden Informationen vorliegen.
Anwendung während der Schwangerschaft und in der Stillzeit nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Einmaldosenbehälter vor Gebrauch gut schütteln.
Die vom Arzt empfohlene Dosierung unbedingt einhalten. (Sofern vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, 1-2 Tropfen 2× täglich, frühmorgens und abends, in das erkrankte Auge einträufeln.)
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Betoptic S Single Dose sind bei Kindern und Jugendlichen bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Betoptic S Single Dose Augentropfensuspension auftreten:
Nebenwirkungen im Auge: Unbehagen (12%).
Nebenwirkungen im Auge: Verschwommensehen, verstärkter Tränenfluss.
Allgemeine Nebenwirkungen: Kopfschmerzen.
Nebenwirkungen im Auge: Hornhautentzündung, Bindehautenzündung, Augenlidentzündung, Sehbeeinträchtigung, Lichtempfindlichkeit, Augenschmerzen, trockenes Auge, Lidkrämpfe, Augenjucken, Augenausfluss, Verkrustung der Augenlider, Augenentzündungen, Erkrankung der Bindehaut, Bindehautschwellung, Augenrötung.
Herzrhythmusstörungen, Asthma, Kurzatmigkeit, Übelkeit, Nasenschleimhautentzündung.
Nebenwirkung im Auge: grauer Star.
Allgemeine Nebenwirkungen: Angst, Ohnmacht, Schwindel, tiefer Blutdruck, Husten, heftige Nasenschleimabsonderung, Geschmacksstörungen, Entzündung der Zungenschleimhaut, Hautreaktionen, Ausschlag, vermindertes sexuelles Verlangen.
Überempfindlichkeit, Schlaflosigkeit, Depressionen, Schwindelgefühl, Rötung des Augenlids, Herzrhythmusstörungen, Haarausfall, Kraftlosigkeit.

Einmaldosenbehälter vor Gebrauch gut schütteln.
Der Inhalt eines Einmaldosenbehälters ist nur zur einmaligen Anwendung bestimmt; nach der Anwendung allfällige restliche Flüssigkeit aus Sterilitätsgründen nicht mehr verwenden. Den Inhalt eines ungeöffneten Einmaldosenbehälters nur bis zum Verfalldatum (Aussenpackung: «Verwendbar bis», Folienbeutel/Einmaldosenbehälter: «Exp.») anwenden.
In der Originalpackung, bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C), vor möglicher Wärme- und Lichteinwirkung geschützt und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
