Bekunis Abführtee tassenfertig enthält den Extrakt der Sennesfrucht mit ihren Wirkstoffen (Sennoside). Er kann zur kurzfristigen Anwendung bei gelegentlicher Verstopfung gebraucht werden.
Wenn Sie an Verstopfung leiden, sollten Sie ballaststoffreiche Nahrung (Gemüse, Früchte, Vollkornbrot) sowie viel und regelmässig Flüssigkeit einnehmen und auf körperliche Betätigung (Sport) achten!
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der Hilfsstoffe gemäss Zusammensetzung darf Bekunis Abführtee tassenfertig nicht eingenommen werden.
Bekunis Abführtee tassenfertig darf nicht angewendet werden bei allen Magen-Darm-Erkrankungen und Störungen des Wasser- und Salzhaushaltes. Für Kinder unter 12 Jahren nur auf ärztliche Verordnung verwenden.
Abführmittel sollen, wegen einer möglichen Gewöhnung, nur gelegentlich und nicht länger als ein bis zwei Wochen eingenommen werden.
Bei chronischem Gebrauch/Missbrauch oder Anwendung höherer als der empfohlenen Dosen können Durchfälle mit Wasserverlust und Störungen des Salzhaushaltes (insbesondere Kaliumverlust) auftreten. Deshalb ist besondere Vorsicht geboten bei Patienten, die gleichzeitig bestimmte wassertreibende Medikamente (Diuretika), Arzneimittel mit Süssholzwurzel, Kortikosteroide, gewisse Antihistaminika (wie Terfenadin), Arzneimittel bei Herzmuskelschwäche (Herzglycoside wie Digoxin) sowie bestimmte Arzneimittel bei Herzrhythmusstörungen (Antiarrhythmika) einnehmen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen!
In der Schwangerschaft und während der Stillzeit darf Bekunis Abführtee tassenfertig nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin eingenommen werden.
Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren: Wenn vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, 325 mg bis 975 mg (1 bis 3 Dosierlöffel) Pulver in eine Tasse geben, mit kaltem oder warmem Wasser übergiessen, umrühren und trinken. Es empfiehlt sich, den Tee vor dem Schlafengehen zu trinken. (Wirkungseintritt nach ca. 10 Stunden). Tagedosis: 1 Tasse abends.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Medikament wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Bekunis Abführtee tassenfertig auftreten:
Sehr selten kann es zu krampfartigen Magen-Darm-Beschwerden kommen. In diesen Fällen ist eine Verminderung der Dosis erforderlich. Sehr selten können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen in Form von Juckreiz, Nesselsucht (Urtikaria), Hautausschlag, entweder örtlich begrenzt oder am ganzen Körper (sog. lokales oder generalisiertes Exanthem) auftreten. Im Laufe der Behandlung kann eine harmlose Rotfärbung des Harns auftreten. Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Arzneimittel für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren! Bei Raumtemperatur (15 - 25 °C) und trocken aufbewahren!
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «verwendbar bis (= EXP)» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Haltbarkeit nach Anbruch: 6 Monate.

1 Dosierlöffel Pulver (entsprechend 325mg) enthält: 100,1-166,7mg Trockenextrakt aus Sennesfrüchten standardisiert auf 10mg Hydroxyanthracenderivate berechnet als Sennoside B, DEV (4-6:1), Auszugsmittel: Wasser.
Dieses Präparat enthält zusätzliche Hilfsstoffe: Gelatine und Maltodextrin.
