Calcimagon-D3 und Calcimagon-D3 Forte enthalten die für eine gesunde Knochenbildung wichtigen Wirkstoffe Calcium und Vitamin D3.
Die Präparate eignen sich zur Behandlung und Verhütung von Krankheiten, die auf einem Vitamin D- oder Calciummangel im Alter beruhen sowie zur Unterstützung der Vorbeugung und der Therapie der Osteoporose.
1 Kautablette Calcimagon-D3 mit Zitronenaroma, Orangenaroma oder Spearmintaroma enthält 4.0 mg Kohlenhydrate = 0.07 kJ (0.02 kcal).
1 Kautablette Calcimagon-D3 Forte mit Zitronenaroma enthält 4.74 mg Kohlenhydrate = 0.08 kJ (0.02 kcal).
Wenn Sie auf einen oder mehrere Inhaltsstoffe gemäss Zusammensetzung überempfindlich sind, bei erhöhtem Calciumspiegel im Blut, erhöhter Calciumausscheidung im Harn, geschädigter Nierenfunktion, Nieren- oder Blasensteinen, nach langer Immobilität oder wenn Sie von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin aus kein Calcium einnehmen dürfen.
Da Calcimagon-D3 (nicht aber Calcimagon-D3 Forte) Aspartam enthält, darf es bei Phenylketonurie nicht verwendet werden.
Bei chronischer Nierenfunktionsstörung sowie Steinbildung im Harntrakt.
Eine zusätzliche Einnahme von Vitamin D und/oder Calcium sollte unter ärztlicher Aufsicht erfolgen, um eine Überdosierung zu vermeiden. Bei längerfristiger Einnahme von grossen Calciummengen oder hohen Vitamin D-Dosen aus Nahrung oder Arzneimitteln und gleichzeitig leicht aufzunehmenden basischen Substanzen (Alkalien z.B. Bicarbonate, die in Arzneimitteln zur Bindung der Magensäure enthalten sind) kann es zu einem Milch-Alkali-Syndrom (Kalkstoffwechselstörung) kommen mit dem Risiko von Nierenschäden. Die gleichzeitige Einnahme sollte unbedingt vermieden werden.
Vorsicht ist bei der gleichzeitigen Einnahme von Herzglykosiden und harntreibenden Mitteln (Thiaziden) geboten, da es zu Wechselwirkungen kommen kann.
Da die gleichzeitige Einnahme von Kortikosteroiden zu einer erhöhten Calciumausscheidung über die Nieren führt, muss gegebenenfalls die Calcimagon-D3- bzw. Calcimagon-D3 Forte-Dosis nach Absprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin erhöht werden.
Patienten, die gleichzeitig mit Antibiotika (Tetrazyklinen) oder Barbituraten therapiert werden, sollen immer einen zeitlichen Abstand von etwa 3 Stunden zwischen der Einnahme dieser Arzneimittel und Calcimagon-D3 bzw. Calcimagon-D3 Forte einhalten; bei gewissen Antibiotika (Chinolone) sollte deren Einnahme 2 Stunden vor oder 4-6 Stunden nach der Verabreichung von Calcimagon-D3 bzw. Calcimagon-D3 Forte erfolgen.
Bei gleichzeitiger Behandlung mit einem Bisphosphonat, Colestyramin, Zink-, Strontiumranelat- und Eisenpräparaten, Natriumfluorid oder Paraffin sollte vor der Einnahme von Calcimagon-D3 bzw. Calcimagon-D3 Forte ein zeitlicher Abstand von mindestens 2 Stunden eingehalten werden. Dasselbe gilt bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Oxal- oder Phytinsäurereicher Nahrung (Spinat, Rhabarber, Vollkorngetreide).
Bei gleichzeitiger Verabreichung des Schilddrüsenhormons Levothyroxin soll der zeitliche Abstand 4 Stunden betragen.
Bei Appetitlosigkeit, starkem Durst, Übelkeit oder Erbrechen sollten Sie umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin kontaktieren.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit sollen Sie Calcimagon-D3 bzw. Calcimagon-D3 Forte, ausser auf ausdrückliche ärztliche Verordnung, nicht einnehmen.
Erwachsene nehmen 1-2 Kautabletten Calcimagon-D3 oder 1 Kautablette Calcimagon-D3 Forte pro Tag ein. Die Tabletten können auch in einem Glas Wasser gelöst eingenommen werden. Falls Sie 2 Tabletten pro Tag einnehmen (dies betrifft nur Calcimagon-D3), werden diese auf morgens und abends verteilt.
Calcimagon-D3 und Calcimagon-D3 Forte ist nicht zur Anwendung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren bestimmt.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Gelegentlich erhöhter Calciumgehalt im Blut und erhöhte Ausscheidung im Harn. Bei Überdosierung in Verbindung mit der Einnahme von basischen Substanzen (z.B. Mittel zur Bindung von Magensäure) kann ein Milch-Alkali-Syndrom entstehen (siehe unter «Wann ist bei der Einnahme Vorsicht geboten?»). In seltenen Fällen leichte Störungen im Verdauungstrakt wie Verstopfung, Oberbauchbeschwerden wie Völlegefühl, leichte Blähungen, Übelkeit, Bauchschmerzen und Durchfall. Ebenfalls selten können Juckreiz, Hautausschlag und Nesselfieber auftreten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Präparat ist gut verschlossen, vor Feuchtigkeit geschützt bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Eine Kautablette Calcimagon-D3 Forte enthält als Wirkstoffe 2500 mg Calciumcarbonat (= 1000 mg Calcium) und 20 µg Cholecalciferol (= 800 I.E. Vitamin D3).
