Hametum®-N enthält pflanzliche Wirkstoffe aus Hamamelis virginiana (virginische Zaubernuss) und Aesculus hippocastanum (Rosskastanie). Die natürliche Heilkraft der Hamamelis war schon vor vielen Jahrhunderten ein fester Bestandteil im medizinischen Wissen der Indianer Nordamerikas. Die entzündungshemmenden, adstringierenden und blutstillenden Eigenschaften des Extrakts von Hamamelis virginiana werden sinnvoll ergänzt durch die gewebsabschwellende Wirkung des Rosskastanienextraktes. Hametum®-N fördert die Heilung, ist juckreizstillend, kühlend und schmerzstillend. Dank der quantifizierten Extrakte von Hametum®-N kann eine gleichbleibende Qualität garantiert werden. Hametum®-N wird verwendet zur Linderung von Beschwerden bei inneren Hämorrhoiden, sowie bei Wunden und Rissen am Darmausgang.
Zusätzlich zur Behandlung mit Zäpfchen oder Salbe empfiehlt es sich auf gute Körperpflege der Aftergegend zu achten und für ausreichende körperliche Bewegung und weichen Stuhl zu sorgen.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegen Bestandteile des Arzneimittels sollte Hametum®-N nicht angewendet werden! Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch sind keine besonderen Vorsichtsmassnahmen notwendig.

Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Erwachsene: Soweit nicht anders verordnet jeweils 1?2-mal täglich 1 Zäpfchen möglichst nach dem Stuhlgang einführen. Es empfiehlt sich, die Behandlung auch nach Beschwerdefreiheit noch einige Zeit fortzuführen. Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Hametum®-N bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden. Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Für Hametum®-N sind bisher bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch keine Nebenwirkungen beobachtet worden. Wenn Sie dennoch Nebenwirkungen beobachten, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren. Nicht einnehmen. Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25°C) lagern. Zäpfchen auf Hartfettbasis neigen bei der Lagerung zur Bildung von sogenanntem «Fettreif» auf ihrer Oberfläche. Diese Erscheinung beeinträchtigt weder die Anwendung noch die Wirkung der Zäpfchen. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
1 Zäpfchen enthält 6 mg quantifizierten Trockenextrakt aus Rosskastaniensamen (6:1) entsprechend 1,2 mg Aescin (Aus zugsmittel 50 % (m/m) Ethanol) und 50 mg quantifizierten Trockenextrakt aus der Rinde der virginischen Zaubernuss (5:1) entsprechend 10 mg Hamamelistannin (Auszugsmittel 60 % (m/m) Ethanol). Dieses Präparat enthält zusätzliche Hilfsstoffe.
