Mebuca-Orange enthält einen desinfizierenden Wirkstoff (Benzoxoniumchlorid) und einen lokal schmerzlindernden Wirkstoff (Lidocainhydrochlorid).
Lidocain, ein Lokalanästhetikum, lindert die durch die Infektion bedingten Halsschmerzen und Schluckbeschwerden.
Mebuca-Orange wirkt antibakteriell, antiviral und gegen Pilze.
Mebuca-Orange lindert die Beschwerden von Infektionen im Bereich des Mundes und des Halses, insbesondere von Halsschmerzen (mit oder ohne Schluckbeschwerden), von Aphthen und Zahnfleischentzündungen. Unterstützend bei Angina.
Die Lutschtabletten sind mit Sorbitol und Saccharin gesüsst.
Dieses Arzneimittel enthält pro Einzeldosis 1 g Sorbitol, was ungefähr 17 kJ (4 kcal) entspricht.
Sie dürfen Mebuca-Orange nicht anwenden, wenn Sie allergisch auf Benzoxoniumchlorid, andere quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen, Lidocain, andere Lokalanästhetika oder auf einen anderen Inhaltsstoff reagieren.
Mebuca-Orange ist für Kinder unter 4 Jahren nicht geeignet.
Mebuca-Orange ist nur für die Anwendung in Mund und Rachen bestimmt. Kurz vor oder nach dem Zähneputzen soll Mebuca-Orange nicht angewendet werden, da seine Wirksamkeit sonst abnimmt.
Vorsichtsmassnahmen: Bei Halsschmerzen begleitet von hohem Fieber, starken Schluckbeschwerden oder wenn sich die Symptome nicht innerhalb von 5 Tagen bessern, ist ein Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. eine Ärztin oder Apothekerin aufzusuchen.
Patientinnen und Patienten mit Wunden und Verletzungen der Mund- und Rachenschleimhaut sollten Mebuca-Orange nur mit Vorsicht anwenden.
Mebuca-Orange sollte während oder unmittelbar nach dem Trinken oder Essen nicht angewendet werden. Die lokal betäubende Wirkung des Lidocains kann ein vorübergehendes Taubheitsgefühl von Zunge und Mundschleimhaut verursachen und so das Schlucken beeinträchtigen. Trinken oder essen Sie nichts, solange das Taubheitsgefühl andauert.
Das Präparat enthält Sorbitol (E420): Falls Sie an einer Unverträglichkeit gegen gewisse Zucker (Fructose) leiden, sollten Sie Mebuca-Orange Lutschtabletten nicht anwenden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen, wenn Sie vermuten schwanger zu sein oder eine Schwangerschaft planen, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Wenn vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:
Erwachsene: Alle 2?3 Stunden 1 Lutschtablette langsam im Munde zergehen lassen. In hartnäckigen Fällen kann die Häufigkeit auf 1 Lutschtablette alle 1?2 Stunden erhöht werden.
Nicht mehr als 10 Lutschtabletten täglich (innerhalb von 24 Stunden) anwenden.
Zur Behandlung von Aphthen 1 Lutschtablette im Wundbereich zergehen lassen.
Kinder: Mebuca-Orange kann Kindern ab 4 Jahren gegeben werden, die Dosis sollte jedoch verringert werden: 1 Lutschtablette alle 2-3 Stunden langsam im Munde zergehen lassen. Maximal 6 Lutschtabletten täglich (innerhalb von 24 Stunden) anwenden.
Die Lutschtabletten sollten nicht zerkaut und nicht ganz geschluckt werden. Die vorgeschriebene Dosierung sollte nicht überschritten werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Einige Patientinnen und Patienten können auf dieses Präparat allergisch reagieren und folgende Reaktionen zeigen: Atem- oder Schluckschwierigkeiten, Schwellung im Gesicht, an Lippen, Zunge oder im Rachen, starker Juckreiz mit rotem Hautausschlag, Nesselsucht oder Quaddelbildung.
Wenn Sie solche Reaktionen bemerken, sollten Sie die Therapie abbrechen und ärztlichen Rat einholen.
Reizung oder ein Gefühl des Kribbelns in Mund und Rachen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Arzneimittel sollen für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahrt werden.
Bei 15?30 °C aufbewahren, vor Feuchtigkeit schützen.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
