Doxiproct enthält als Wirkstoff: Calciumdobesilat und das lokale Schmerzmittel Lidocain. Calciumdobesilat normalisiert den Widerstand und die Durchlässigkeit der kleinen Blutgefässe (Kapillaren).
Doxiproct wirkt entzündungshemmend, vermindert Blutungen und Nässen und führt zu einer raschen Linderung der Schmerzen, des Brennens, des Juckreizes und des Spannungsgefühls bei folgenden Erkrankungen: innere und äussere Hämorrhoiden, Juckreiz und Entzündung im Analbereich. Auf Empfehlung Ihres Arztes oder Apothekers, kann Doxiproct auch bei Analfissuren sowie vor und nach Hämorrhoidenoperationen angewandt werden.
Wenn Sie an Hämorrhoiden leiden, sollten Sie:
die Einnahme von Gewürzen, Wurstwaren, Alkohol, sowie Tee und Kaffee einschränken,
Verstopfung vermeiden, indem Sie z.B. eine Diät mit ausreichend Ballaststoffen halten (Vollkornbrot, rohe und gekochte Gemüse, Obst),
Übergewicht vermeiden,
eine strikte Analhygiene befolgen, aber mit Seife sparsam umgehen.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegen einen der Inhaltsstoffe sollten Sie Doxiproct nicht verwenden.
Doxiproct ist nur für Erwachsene bestimmt und eignet sich nicht für Kinder.
Falls Sie an einer schlechten Nierenfunktion leiden, sollten Sie Doxiproct nicht über längere Zeit anwenden.
Im Falle des Auftretens von Hautreaktionen und/oder Fieber sollte die Behandlung sofort abgebrochen werden und der behandelnde Arzt informiert werden, da es sich um allergische Reaktionen handeln kann. Im Falle von Blut im Stuhl oder eines derartigen Verdachtes, sowie bei gleichzeitigem Auftreten von Schmerzen und Fieber, konsultieren Sie einen Arzt. Sie sollten einen Arzt informieren, wenn sich die Beschwerden nach 1 bis 2 Wochen Behandlung nicht gebessert oder sich verschlimmert haben. Wiederholte Behandlungen sollten nur nach mit einer ärztlich gesicherten Diagnose erfolgen. Jede Kur sollte nicht länger als 2 Wochen dauern.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder applizieren.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder wenn Sie stillen, sollten Sie grundsätzlich darauf verzichten Medikamente zu nehmen oder aber den Rat Ihres Arztes einholen. Was Doxiproct anbelangt, ist das Risiko für das ungeborene Kind oder den gestillten Säugling bis heute nicht bekannt. Sie sollten deshalb Doxiproct nur verwenden, nachdem Sie zuvor mit Ihrem Arzt darüber gesprochen haben.
Im Allgemeinen wird die Salbe ? wenn möglich ? nach dem Stuhlgang verwendet.
Bei inneren Hämorrhoiden kann die beigelegte Kanüle auf die Tube aufgeschraubt werden. Die Kanüle führen Sie so weit wie möglich in den Anus ein und ziehen Sie unter sanftem Ausdrücken der Tube dann langsam zurück. Bei dieser Verwendung ist die Tube für etwa 10 Behandlungen vorgesehen. Am Anfang der Behandlung kann es von Vorteil sein die Salbe mit dem Finger auf den Anus aufzutragen.
Bei äusseren Hämorrhoiden oder analem Juckreiz tragen Sie eine dünne Schicht Salbe mehrmals täglich auf.
Die Behandlung mit Doxiproct soll nicht länger als 2 Wochen nach dem ersten Auftreten der Schmerzen fortgesetzt werden. Andernfalls sollten Sie Ihren Arzt konsultieren. Eine Wiederholung der Behandlung soll nur nach einer gesicherten medizinischen Diagnose erfolgen. Falls Sie an einer Niereninsuffizienz leiden, soll sich die Behandlung auf wenige Tage beschränken.
Halten Sie sich an die im Packungsprospekt angegebene oder von Ihrem Arzt verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Medikament wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten.
Folgende seltene, nicht schwerwiegende Nebenwirkungen können auftreten: vorübergehendes Brennen und Verstärkung des Juckreizes im Analbereich. Im Fall von Hautreaktionen und/oder Fieber, sollte die Behandlung sofort abgebrochen und, da es sich um eine allergische Reaktion handeln könnte, der Arzt informiert werden.
Sollten Sie andere Nebenwirkungen beobachten, sollten Sie dies Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten mitteilen.
Doxiproct soll an einem kühlen Ort und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.
Das Medikament darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahren.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist, der über die ausführliche Fachinformation verfügt.
