    Zyclara Crème wird auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin zur Behandlung der aktinischen Keratose bei Erwachsenen angewendet.

    Zyclara Crème stimuliert das Immunsystem Ihres Körpers zur Bildung natürlicher Substanzen, die helfen, Ihre aktinischen Keratosen zu bekämpfen.

    Aktinische Keratosen zeigen sich als raue Hautbereiche, welche bei Menschen auftreten, die im Laufe ihres Lebens häufig der Sonnenstrahlung ausgesetzt waren. Diese Bereiche können die gleiche Farbe wie Ihre Haut aufweisen, oder aber gräulich, rosa, rot oder braun erscheinen. Sie können flach oder schuppig sein oder auch erhaben, rau, hart und warzenartig.

    Zyclara Crème sollte nur bei aktinischen Keratosen im Gesicht oder auf der unbehaarten Kopfhaut angewendet werden, wenn Ihr Arzt resp. Ihre Ärztin entschieden hat, dass dies die für Sie am besten geeignete Behandlung ist.

    +-Wann darf Zyclara Crème nicht angewendet werden?

    Wenn Sie allergisch gegen Imiquimod (Wirkstoff) oder einen der Hilfsstoffe dieses Arzneimittels sind.

    Kinder und Jugendliche

    Dieses Arzneimittel darf Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren nicht gegeben werden, da die Unbedenklichkeit und Wirksamkeit bei Patienten unter 18 Jahren nicht nachgewissen ist. Es liegen keine Studien zur Anwendung von Imiquimod bei Kindern und Jugendlichen vor.

    +-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Zyclara Crème Vorsicht geboten?

    Informieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, bevor Sie mit der Behandlung beginnen:

    • wenn Sie schon früher einmal Zyclara Crème oder andere, ähnliche Präparate (wie z.B. Aldara 5% Crème) angewendet haben,
    • wenn Sie Probleme mit Ihrem Immunsystem haben oder wenn Sie Arzneimittel einnehmen, die Ihr Immunsystem unterdrücken (z.B. nach einer Organtransplantation),
    • wenn Sie kein normales Blutbild haben.

    Allgemeine Hinweise während der Behandlung

    • Falls Sie sich kürzlich einer Operation oder einer anderen medizinischen Behandlung unterzogen haben, warten Sie, bis der zu behandelnde Bereich abgeheilt ist, bevor Sie dieses Arzneimittel anwenden.
    • Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Augen, Lippen und Nasenlöchern. Bei versehentlichem Kontakt ist die Crème durch Abspülen mit Wasser zu entfernen.
    • Wenden Sie die Crème nur äusserlich, im Gesicht oder auf der Kopfhaut, an.
    • Verwenden Sie nicht mehr Crème als Ihr Arzt Ihnen verordnet hat.
    • Decken Sie die behandelte Stelle nach dem Auftragen von Zyclara Crème nicht mit einem Verband oder Pflaster ab.
    • Falls Ihnen die behandelte Stelle zu starke Unannehmlichkeiten bereitet, waschen Sie die Crème mit einer milden Seife und Wasser ab. Sobald die Beschwerden abgeklungen sind, können Sie die Behandlung entsprechend dem Behandlungsplan wieder aufnehmen. Die Crème sollte nicht öfter als einmal täglich aufgetragen werden.
    • Verwenden Sie keine Bräunungslampen, verzichten Sie auf Besuche im Solarium und setzen Sie sich unter der Behandlung mit Zyclara Crème möglichst nicht dem direkten Sonnenlicht aus. Falls Sie sich tagsüber im Freien aufhalten, verwenden Sie Sonnenschutzmittel und tragen Sie schützende Kleidung und einen breitkrempigen Hut.

    Lokale Hautreaktionen

    Die meisten Patienten entwickeln unter der Behandlung aufgrund der Wirkung von Zyclara Crème auf die Haut örtlich begrenzte Hautreaktionen. Diese Reaktionen sind ein Zeichen dafür, dass das Arzneimittel wie beabsichtigt wirkt.

    Während der Behandlung mit Zyclara Crème und bis zur Abheilung kann der behandelte Bereich deutlich anders aussehen als die normale Haut. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, dass sich eine bestehende Entzündung vorübergehend verschlimmert. Zyclara kann ausserdem örtlich begrenzte Hautreaktionen, möglicherweise einhergehend mit grippeähnlichen Symptomen (wie Abgeschlagenheit, Übelkeit, Fieber, Muskel- und Gelenkschmerzen und Schüttelfrost), hervorrufen.

    Das Ansprechen auf die Behandlung kann erst nach Abklingen der lokalen Hautreaktionen angemessen beurteilt werden. Sie sollten deshalb die Behandlung wie vorgeschrieben fortsetzen.

    Zyclara Crème kann auch aktinische Keratosen, die bislang nicht erkennbar oder spürbar waren, sichtbar machen und behandeln. Diese können im weiteren Verlauf wieder verschwinden. Die Behandlung ist über die gesamte vorgesehene Dauer beizubehalten, auch wenn keine aktinischen Keratosen mehr zu erkennen sind.

    Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

    • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
    • Allergien haben

    Anwendung von Zyclara Crème mit anderen Arzneimitteln

    Bitte informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel anwenden bzw. vor kurzem angewendet haben, auch wenn es sich um nicht verschreibungspflichtige Arzneimittel handelt.

    Wichtige Information zu einigen der in Zyclara Crème enthaltenen Bestandteile

    Cetyl- und Stearylalkohol können lokale Hautreaktionen (z.B. Kontaktdermatitis) hervorrufen.

    Methyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E218) und Propyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E216) können allergische Reaktionen hervorrufen (möglicherweise verzögert).

    Wirkung auf die Fahrtüchtigkeit und das Bedienen von Maschinen

    Bisher liegen keine Hinweise vor, dass die Verkehrstüchtigkeit und das Bedienen von Maschinen durch die Anwendung von Zyclara Crème beeinträchtigt werden.

    +-Darf Zyclara Crème während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

    Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder Apotheker  bzw. die Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat fragen.

    +-Wie verwenden Sie Zyclara Crème?

    Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

    Wenden Sie Zyclara Crème immer genau nach Anweisung des Arztes oder der Ärztin an. Bitte fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin nach, wenn Sie sich nicht ganz sicher sind. Verwenden Sie Zyclara Crème nur, wenn Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin Ihnen gezeigt hat, wie die Zyclara Crème korrekt aufgetragen wird.

    Zyclara Crème darf nur zur Behandlung von aktinischen Keratosen im Gesicht oder auf der unbehaarten Kopfhaut angewendet werden.

    Dosierung

    Zyclara Crème wird einmal täglich unmittelbar vor dem Zubettgehen auf die betroffene Gesichtshaut oder unbehaarte Kopfhaut aufgetragen.

    Die maximale tägliche Dosis sind 2 Sachets (500 mg = 2 Sachets à je 250 mg).

    Zyclara Crème darf nicht auf Hautarealen angewendet werden, die grösser als das gesamte Gesicht oder die unbehaarte Kopfhaut sind.

    Zyclara Crème Anwendungshinweise

    1. Vor dem Zubettgehen: Waschen Sie Ihre Hände und das zu behandelnde Hautareal sorgfältig mit einer milden Seife und Wasser. Trocken Sie die Hände gründlich ab und lassen Sie die Hautstelle trocknen.
    1. Öffnen Sie unmittelbar vor dem Gebrauch ein neues Sachet Zyclara Crème und drücken Sie etwas Crème auf Ihre Fingerspitze. Pro Anwendung sollten nicht mehr als zwei Sachets verwendet werden.
    1. Tragen Sie Zyclara Crème dünn auf das betroffene Hautareal auf. Reiben Sie die Crème vorsichtig dort ein, bis sie eingezogen ist. Vermeiden Sie jeden Kontakt mit den Augen, Lippen und Nasenlöchern.
    1. Werfen Sie das geöffnete Sachet nach Auftragen der Crème weg. Waschen Sie sich die Hände gut mit Seife und Wasser.
    1. Lassen Sie Zyclara Crème etwa 8 Stunden lang in die Haut einwirken. Während dieser Zeit dürfen Sie den Hautbereich nicht duschen oder baden. Decken Sie das behandelte Areal nicht mit einem Verband oder Pflaster ab.
    1. Nach etwa 8 Stunden waschen Sie das mit Zyclara Crème behandelte Hautareal mit milder Seife und Wasser.

    Dauer der Behandlung

    Die Behandlung beginnt mit einer täglichen Anwendung über zwei Wochen, gefolgt von einer zweiwöchigen Behandlungspause ohne Anwendungen und endet dann mit der täglichen Anwendung über weitere zwei Wochen.

    Wenn Sie eine grössere Menge von Zyclara Crème angewendet haben als Sie sollten

    Waschen Sie die überschüssige Menge mit Wasser und einer milden Seife ab.

    Sobald etwaige Hautreaktionen abgeklungen sind, dürfen Sie die Behandlung wie empfohlen fortsetzen. Tragen Sie die Crème nicht mehr als einmal pro Tag auf.

    Wenn Sie Zyclara Crème versehentlich verschlucken, wenden Sie sich bitte umgehend an Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin.

    Wenn Sie die Anwendung von Zyclara Crème vergessen haben

    Falls Sie die Anwendung einer Dosis Zyclara Crème versäumt haben, warten Sie mit der Anwendung bis zum nächsten Abend und fahren Sie dann wie gewohnt mit der Behandlung fort. Die Crème darf nicht häufiger als einmal täglich aufgetragen werden. Keiner der Behandlungszyklen darf die Dauer von zwei Wochen überschreiten, auch wenn zwischendurch Dosen ausgelassen wurden.

    Wenn Sie die Behandlung mit Zyclara Crème abbrechen

    Sprechen Sie zuerst mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin bevor Sie die Behandlung mit Zyclara abbrechen.

    Wenn Sie weitere Fragen zur Anwendung des Arzneimittels haben, fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

    +-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Zyclara Crème haben?

    Wie alle Arzneimittel kann auch Zyclara Crème Nebenwirkungen haben, die aber nicht bei jedem auftreten müssen.

    Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin sofort darüber, wenn Sie sich während der Anwendung von Zyclara Crème nicht wohl fühlen.

    Begeben Sie sich unverzüglich in ärztliche Behandlung, wenn Sie bei der Anwendung dieses Arzneimittels eine oder mehrere dieser schweren Nebenwirkungen bemerken:

    Schwerwiegende Hautreaktionen mit Hautveränderungen oder Flecken auf der Haut, die anfänglich als kleine rote Stellen auftreten und sich dann zu kleinen Flecken weiterentwickeln (möglicherweise mit Symptomen wie Juckreiz, Fieber, allgemeinem Krankheitsgefühl, Gelenkschmerzen, Sehstörungen, Brennen, schmerzenden oder juckenden Augen und wunden Stellen im Mund). Wenn diese Reaktionen bei Ihnen auftreten, beenden Sie die Anwendung dieses Arzneimittels und informieren Sie umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.

    Bei einigen Patienten wurde ein Abfall der Blutwerte festgestellt. Das kann Sie anfälliger für Infektionen machen und bewirken, dass bei Ihnen schneller ein blauer Fleck entsteht oder Abgeschlagenheit hervorrufen. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie eines dieser Symptome bemerken.

    Wenn Eiter oder andere Hinweise auf eine Infektion auftreten, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin darüber.

    Viele Nebenwirkungen von Zyclara Crème sind auf die örtlich begrenzte Wirkung auf Ihre Haut zurückzuführen. Die lokalen Hautreaktionen können ein Zeichen sein, dass das Arzneimittel wie beabsichtigt wirkt. Wenn Ihre Haut sehr stark reagiert oder die Anwendung von Zyclara Crème zu unangenehm wird, beenden Sie die Anwendung der Crème und waschen Sie den Bereich mit einer milden Seife und mit Wasser ab. Wenden Sie sich anschliessend an Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin. Er bzw. sie wird Ihnen möglicherweise raten, Zyclara Crème für einige Tage nicht anzuwenden (d.h. eine kurzzeitige Behandlungspause).

    Die folgenden Nebenwirkungen von Imiquimod wurden gemeldet:

    Sehr häufig (bei mehr als 1 von 10 Patienten zu erwarten)

    Hautrötung, Abschuppen und Abblättern der Haut, Flüssigkeitsabsonderung der Haut, Schorfbildung, Hauttrockenheit, Hautschwellung, Hautgeschwür und verminderte Hautpigmentierung

    Häufig (bei weniger als 1 von 10 Patienten zu erwarten)

    Weitere Veränderungen an der Anwendungsstelle wie Hautentzündung, Reaktionen am Applikationsort wie Juckreiz, Schmerzen, Schwellung, Brennen, Reizung, Ausschlag.

    Weiterhin treten häufig auf: virale Infektionen (Herpes simplex), Schwellung der Lymphknoten, verminderter Appetit, erhöhter Blutzucker, Schlaflosigkeit, Kopfschmerzen, Schwindelgefühl, Übelkeit, Durchfall, Erbrechen, Muskel- und Gelenkschmerzen, Müdigkeit, Fieber, grippeähnliche Symptome, Schmerzen und Brustkorbschmerzen.

    Gelegentlich (bei weniger als 1 von 100 Patienten zu erwarten)

    Veränderungen an der Anwendungsstelle, z.B. Entzündung, Bluten, kleine geschwollene Bereiche in der Haut, Kribbeln, Berührungsempfindlichkeit, Narbenbildung, Zerstörung von Haut, Bläschen oder Pusteln und Wärmegefühl.

    Weiter können gelegentlich auftreten: Schwäche, Schüttelfrost, Depression, Reizbarkeit, Augenreizung, Schwellung der Augenlider, verstopfte Nase, Hals- und Rachenschmerzen, Mundtrockenheit, Gesichtsschwellung, Rückenschmerzen, Gliederschmerzen, Antriebslosigkeit und Unbehagen.

    Selten (bei weniger als 1 von 1?000 Patienten zu erwarten)

    Verschlimmerung von Autoimmunerkrankungen (eine Autoimmunerkrankung ist eine Erkrankung, die durch eine überschiessende Reaktion des Immunsystems hervorgerufen wird) und Hautreaktionen ausserhalb vom Behandlungsbereich.

    Einzelfälle (die Häufigkeit ist aufgrund der vorliegenden Daten nicht abschätzbar)

    Veränderungen der Hautfarbe oder -pigmentierung: Bei manchen Patienten kam es zu Hautverfärbungen in dem Bereich, in dem Zyclara Crème aufgetragen wurde. Während die meisten Veränderungen mit der Zeit zurückgehen, können sie bei manchen Patienten dauerhaft bestehen bleiben.

    Haarausfall: Bei einer kleinen Zahl von Patienten kam es zu Haarausfall an der behandelten Stelle oder im umgebenden Bereich.

    Einzelfälle von schwerwiegenden, allergischen, grossflächigen, entzündlichen Reaktionen der Haut oder der Schleimhäute mit Blasenbildung wurden berichtet.

    Es gab Berichte über den Anstieg von Leberenzymen.

    Wenn eine Nebenwirkung schwerwiegend wird oder wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

    +-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

    Einmal geöffnete Sachets dürfen nicht wieder verwendet werden.

    Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

    Nicht über 25 °C und für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren.

    Ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

    Arzneimittel sollten nicht in Abwasser oder Haushaltsmüll entsorgt werden. Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wie das Arzneimittel zu entsorgen ist, wenn Sie es nicht mehr benötigen. Diese Massnahme hilft die Umwelt zu schützen.

    Der Wirkstoff ist Imiquimod. Jedes Sachet enthält 9,375 mg Imiquimod in 250 mg Crème (100 mg Crème enthalten 3,75 mg Imiquimod).

    Hilfsstoffe: Cetylalkohol, Stearylalkohol, Konservierungsmittel: Benzylalkohol, Methyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E218), Propyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E216) sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.
