Valverde Verstopfung Dragées enthalten einen standardisierten Trockenextrakt aus Sennesfrüchten und einen Trockenextrakt aus Pestwurzwurzeln sowie getrocknete Feigenfrüchte. Der Extrakt aus Sennesfrüchten erzeugt in der empfohlenen Dosierung einen weichen gleitfähigen Stuhl. Dieser Effekt wird unterstützt durch die Schleimstoffe, den Fruchtzucker und die Fruchtsäure der getrockneten Feigen. Der Extrakt aus Wurzeln der Pestwurz unterstützt diese Wirkung dank seinen krampflösenden Eigenschaften. Durch die Standardisierung dieses pflanzlichen Arzneimittels wird eine gleich bleibende Qualität erzielt.
Valverde Verstopfung Dragées werden angewendet bei gelegentlicher Verstopfung (z.B. auf Reisen).
Wenn Sie an Verstopfung leiden, sollten Sie
ballaststoffreiche Nahrung (Gemüse, Früchte, Vollkornbrot) sowie
viel und regelmässig Flüssigkeit einnehmen und
auf körperliche Betätigung (Sport) achten.
Dieses Präparat ist auch für Diabetiker geeignet.
Valverde Verstopfung Dragées dürfen nicht angewendet werden bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren, bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe (siehe Zusammensetzung) und bei Erkrankungen des Magen-/Darm-Traktes (z.B. bei Darmverschluss, bei entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen).
Abführmittel sollen, wegen einer möglichen Gewöhnung, nur gelegentlich und nicht länger als ein bis zwei Wochen eingenommen werden. Langzeitbehandlungen gehören unter ärztliche Kontrolle. Bei chronischem Gebrauch/Missbrauch oder Anwendung höherer als der empfohlenen Dosen können Durchfälle mit Wasserverlust und Störungen des Salzhaushaltes (insbesondere Kaliumverlust) auftreten. Deshalb ist besondere Vorsicht geboten bei Patienten, die gleichzeitig bestimmte wassertreibende Medikamente (Diuretika), Arzneimittel mit Süssholzwurzel, Kortikosteroide, gewisse Antihistaminika (wie Terfenadin), Arzneimittel bei Herzmuskelschwäche (Herzglycoside wie Digoxin) sowie bestimmte Arzneimittel bei Herzrhythmusstörungen (Antiarrhythmika) einnehmen.
Sehr seltene, aber teils schwerwiegende Leberschädigungen wurden in Verbindung mit einem Präparat beobachtet, welches einen bestimmten Pestwurz-Extrakt enthielt (CO2-Extrakt). Eine leberschädigende Wirkung kann jedoch auch für den in Valverde Verstopfung Dragées verwendeten alkoholischen Pestwurz-Extrakt nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Bei vorbestehender Leberschädigung wird deshalb grundsätzlich von der Einnahme von pestwurzhaltigen Arzneimitteln abgeraten. Ungewöhnliche Müdigkeit, Schwäche oder Appetitverlust und unbeabsichtigte Gewichtsabnahme, Gelbfärbung der Bindehaut der Augen oder der Haut, dunkler Urin oder entfärbter Stuhl können auf eine Leberschädigung hinweisen. Sollten solche Symptome auftreten, müssen Valverde Verstopfung Dragées sofort abgesetzt werden und umgehend ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin konsultiert werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen.
In der Schwangerschaft und während der Stillzeit dürfen Valverde Verstopfung Dragées nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin eingenommen werden.
Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren: 1-mal täglich 1?2 Dragées abends vor dem Schlafengehen (Wirkungseintritt nach ca. 8 Stunden), mit genügend Flüssigkeit (mind. 2 dl).
