Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel ist ein lokal anzuwendendes Arzneimittel gegen Schnupfen, das ein Abschwellen der Nasenschleimhaut bewirkt und den schleimigen Nasenausfluss vermindert und verflüssigt. Dadurch wird das Atmen durch die Nase wieder möglich. Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel wird zur Abschwellung der Nasenschleimhaut zur Erleichterung der Atmung bei Schnupfen verwendet.
Auf Rat eines Arztes oder Apothekers bzw. einer Ärztin oder Apothekerin kann Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel auch bei Nasenschleimhaut- und Nasennebenhöhlenentzündung sowie operationsbedingten Entzündungen der Nasengänge angewendet werden. Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel für Kleinkinder und Säuglinge darf bei Säuglingen nur nach Fachberatung durch den Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder Apothekerin angewendet werden.
Der Spray ohne Treibgas garantiert eine genaue Dosierung und eine gute Verteilung.
Wenn bei Ihnen eine Operation im Bereich des Schädels vorgenommen worden ist, muss Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin entscheiden, ob Sie Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel verwenden dürfen. Diese Einschränkung betrifft auch alle anderen gefässverengenden Präparate, die in der Nase angewendet werden.
Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel darf nicht angewendet werden bei
Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber den Bestandteilen,
trockener Nasenschleimhaut (Rhinitis sicca),
Engwinkelglaukom.
Bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren darf der Spray für Erwachsene nicht verwendet werden.
Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel darf ohne ärztliche Abklärung nicht länger als 5?7 Tage angewendet werden. Bei längerer Anwendung kann eine medikamentös bedingte Anschwellung der Nasenschleimhaut auftreten, die in ihren Symptomen einem Schnupfen sehr ähnlich ist.
Bei Patienten mit Hypertonie, kardiovaskulären Krankheiten, Hyperthyreose und Diabetes mellitus darf Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel nur mit Vorsicht angewendet werden.
Wie bei anderen Schnupfenmitteln können auch bei der Anwendung von Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel vorübergehende allgemeine Nebenwirkungen (wie z.B. Schlafstörungen und Sehstörungen und Schwindel) als Zeichen einer gesteigerten Empfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Wirkstoffe auftreten.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel soll während der Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Falls nicht anders vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verordnet:
Erwachsene und Kinder ab 6 Jahren: 3?4-mal täglich in jedes Nasenloch 1 Sprühnebel des Nasensprays für Erwachsene und Kinder.
Kinder bis 6 Jahre: 2?3-mal täglich in jedes Nasenloch 1 Sprühnebel des Nasensprays für Kleinkinder und Säuglinge.
Säuglinge: 1?2-mal täglich in jedes Nasenloch 1 Sprühnebel des Nasensprays für Kleinkinder und Säuglinge.

Die Schutzkappe entfernen. Vor der ersten Anwendung mehrmals den Spray betätigen, um die Pumpe zu aktivieren. Das Fläschchen ist dann für die nachfolgenden Anwendungen betriebsbereit (a). Während der Anwendung (b) ist das Fläschchen senkrecht zu halten.
Die Sprayöffnung in das Nasenloch einführen und ein einziges Mal kräftig drücken. Bevor mit dem Druck nachgelassen wird, den Spray zurückziehen.
Während der Anwendung leicht durch die Nase einatmen, um eine gute Verteilung des Sprühnebels zu gewährleisten.
Dosierspray für Kleinkinder und Säuglinge: Applikation beim sitzenden aufrechten Kind (Anwendung beim liegenden Kind vermeiden).
Nach jeder Anwendung Schutzkappe wieder aufsetzen. Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Konsultieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie wirklich zuviel verwendet haben. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel auftreten: Jucken oder vorübergehender Eindruck von Brennen in der Nase oder im Hals sowie örtliche Reizungen und Austrocknung der Nasenschleimhaut, gelegentlich Übelkeit, Kopfweh oder allergische Reaktionen (Hautausschläge, seltene anaphylaktische Reaktionen).
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
1 ml Lösung enthält als Wirkstoffe Xylometazolinhydrochlorid (Erwachsene 1,0 mg; Kleinkinder 0,5 mg) und Carbocystein (Erwachsene 10,0 mg; Kleinkinder 5,0 mg). Triofan Schnupfen ohne Konservierungsmittel enthält zudem Hilfsstoffe.
1 Sprühnebel für Erwachsene und grössere Kinder enthält 90 µg Xylometazolinhydrochlorid und 900 µg Carbocystein.
1 Sprühnebel für Kleinkinder und Säuglinge enthält 25 µg Xylometazolinhydrochlorid und 250 µg Carbocystein.
