Thromboreductin Kapseln werden zur Behandlung essentieller Thrombozythämie angewendet und enthalten den Wirkstoff Anagrelid. Bei dieser Krankheit bildet das Knochenmark mehr Thrombozyten als benötigt und die sehr hohe Zahl dieser Thrombozyten kann zu schwerwiegenden Durchblutungsstörungen führen. Mit Thromboreductin kann diesen Problemen vorgebeugt werden, indem es die Bildung zu vieler Thrombozyten verhindert. Ferner hemmt Thromboreductin auch die Zusammenballung der Thrombozyten. Thromboreductin darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Falls Sie auf den Wirkstoff Anagrelid oder einen der Hilfsstoffe (u.a. Lactose (Milchzucker) und mikrokristalline Cellulose) überempfindlich reagieren, dürfen Sie das Arzneimittel nicht einnehmen. Bei schweren Herzkrankheiten, Leber- und Nierenprobleme sowie während einer Schwangerschaft oder Stillzeit darf Thromboreductin nicht eingenommen werden.
Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird entscheiden, ob Sie Thromboreductin einnehmen dürfen, wenn Sie an einer Leber- oder Nierenfunktionsstörung oder einer Herzkrankheit leiden oder einmal gelitten haben.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie eine angeborene oder familiär bedingte Verlängerung des QT Intervall haben (ersichtlich im EKG, Elektrokardiogramm) oder wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel einnehmen, welche zu einem Resultat abnormaler EKG Veränderungen führen oder wenn Sie tiefe Elektrolytwerte (z.B. Kalium, Magnesium oder Calcium) haben.
Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin wird vor Beginn der Thromboreductin-Therapie sowie in regelmässigen Abständen während der Therapie Ihre Blutwerte kontrollieren.
Arzneimittel, die Sucralfat zur Behandlung von Magen- oder Zwölffingerdarmgeschwüren enthalten, können die Aufnahme von Thromboreductin in den Körper beeinträchtigen. In Kombination mit Acetylsalicylsäure besteht ein erhöhtes Risko von starken Blutungen. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie gleichzeitig solche Arzneimittel einnehmen, die einen Einfluss auf die Blutplättchen ausüben, da Thromboreductin das Blutungsrisiko mit solchen Medikamenten (wie z.B. Clopidgrel, Prassugrel oder Ticagrelor) erhöhen kann.
Bei Auftreten von Blutungen, z.B. neue Hautblutungen, Bluterbrechen oder Teerstuhl, muss sofort der behandelnde Arzt benachrichtigt werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie Arzneimittel einnehmen, die den Herzrhythmus verändern.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel einnehmen, welche verwendet werden zur Behandlung von Herzkrankeiten, wie z.B. Milrinon. Thromboreductin kann den Effekt solcher Arzneimittel verstärken.
Die Auswirkungen von Thromboreductin auf Tätigkeiten, die Ihre volle Aufmerksamkeit erfordern, sind unbekannt. Aufgrund der möglichen Nebenwirkungen (z.B. Schwindel und Übelkeit) ist beim Lenken von Fahrzeugen und bedienen von Maschinen Vorsicht geboten.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, dürfen Sie Thromboreductin nicht einnehmen.
Für Frauen, die schwanger werden könnten, wird die Anwendung einer angemessenen Empfängnisverhütungsmethode empfohlen.
Während der Stillzeit darf Thromboreductin nicht eingenommen werden.
Nehmen Sie Thromboreductin immer genau nach Anweisung des Arztes ein. Bitte fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker nach, wenn Sie sich nicht ganz sicher sind. Falls vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, beträgt die empfohlene Anfangsdosis 0,5 bis 1,0 mg pro Tag. Die Anfangsdosis sollte mindestens eine Woche lang aufrechterhalten werden. Nach einer Woche kann die Dosis individuell bestimmt werden, um die optimale Dosierung zu erreichen. Die Erhöhung der Tagesdosis sollte 0,5 mg pro Woche nicht überschreiten.
Eine Dosis von mehr als 5 mg/Tag sollte nicht eingenommen werden. Wenn es die optimale Tagesdosis zulässt, sollte Thromboreductin in Teildosierungen 2x täglich (alle 12 Stunden) oder 3x täglich (alle 8 Stunden) eingenommen werden, dabei hat die Essensaufnahme keine Auswirkungen auf die Wirksamkeit von Thromboreductin.
Bei Thromboreductin handelt es sich um eine Dauerbehandlung. Die Wirkung der Behandlung sollte regelmässig kontrolliert werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Wenn Sie die Einnahme von Thromboreductin Kapseln vergessen haben, sollte die Einnahme nicht mit der doppelten Menge ausgeglichen werden. Die verschriebene übliche Dosis soll zum üblichen Zeitpunkt eingenommen werden. Der behandelnde Arzt muss über die fehlende Einnahme informiert werden.
Falls Sie eine Überdosis eingenommen haben, müssen Sie sich sofort an Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder die Notfallstation des nächsten Spitals wenden.
Sollten Sie die Behandlung unterbrechen wollen, besprechen Sie dies vorher mit dem behandelnden Arzt. Beenden Sie nicht eigenmächtig ohne ärztliche Beratung die medikamentöse Behandlung. Ein selbständiges Absetzen von Thromboreductin kann zu Komplikationen führen.
Ältere Patienten wenden die für Erwachsene bestimmte normale Dosis an. Bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren sind die Erfahrungen mit Thromboreductin sehr beschränkt.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Thromboreductin auftreten:
sehr häufig: Kopfschmerzen;
häufig: Müdigkeit, Schwindelgefühl, ungewöhnlich schneller Herzschlag, Herzklopfen, Kribbeln in den Händen oder Füssen, Schwellung der Hände oder Füsse, Blutarmut, Bluthochdruck, Rückenschmerzen, Übelkeit, Durchfall, Verdauungsstörungen, Schlaflosigkeit, kleinflächige Hautblutungen, Nasenbluten, Hautausschläge;
gelegentlich: Blutergüsse, Blutungen, Mundtrockenheit, Atemschwierigkeiten oder Schmerzen bei der Atmung, Schmerzen im Brustbereich, Herzrhythmusstörungen, Ohnmacht, Infektion der Atemwege, Gelenk- und Muskelschmerzen, Erbrechen, Blähungen, Verstopfung, Bauchschmerzen, Schwäche, Nervosität, Geräusche im Ohr, Sehstörungen, Bindehautentzündung, Infektion der Harnwege, Niereninsuffizienz, verminderte Zahl der Blutplättchen, Gewichtszunahme, Depression, Migräne, Haarausfall, Juckreiz;
selten bis sehr selten: Herzinfarkt, Angina pectoris, Blutdruckabfall bei Aufrichten, Flüssigkeitsansammlung im Brustfell, Lungenentzündung, Asthma, Hautverfärbungen, Magenentzündung, Appetitlosigkeit, verstärkter nächtlicher Harndrang, Unwohlsein, Schüttelfrost und Grippe-Symptome.
Wenn Sie die oben beschriebenen oder andere Nebenwirkungen feststellen, teilen Sie diese Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mit.
Thromboreductin Kapseln sind ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Die Kapseln dürfen nicht verwendet werden, wenn sie Verfärbungen, Risse in der Oberfläche oder Verlust an Festigkeit aufweisen. Die Kapseln sind bei Raumtemperatur (15 - 25 °C) aufzubewahren. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Übergeben Sie nicht vollständig aufgebrauchtes Arzneimittel, z.B. nach Therapieabschluss oder Verfall, Ihrem Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Apothekerin zur Entsorgung.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
