    Terbinafin-Mepha Tabletten enthalten den Wirkstoff Terbinafin, der zur Gruppe der Pilzmittel (Antimykotika) gehört. Terbinafin-Mepha Tabletten werden zur Behandlung von Pilzinfektionen der Haut, Haare und Nägel auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin eingenommen.

    +-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

    Für eine erfolgreiche Behandlung der Pilzinfektionen sollten Sie einige Regeln beachten:

    • An Kleidungsstücken, die mit der erkrankten Haut in Kontakt kommen, können die Erreger der Pilzerkrankungen haften bleiben. Deshalb sollten Sie diese Kleidungsstücke täglich wechseln.
    • Eine normale und vor allem trockene Haut ist der beste Schutz vor Pilzinfektionen. Es ist deshalb an den erkrankten Hautstellen eng anliegende und wenig luftdurchlässige Kleidung zu vermeiden. Auch sollten Sie die erkrankten Hautstellen nach dem Waschen sorgfältig trocknen. Waschlappen und Handtuch sind täglich zu wechseln.
    • Wenn Sie an einer Fusspilzinfektion leiden, sollten Sie nicht barfuss herumlaufen. So vermeiden Sie eine Weiterverbreitung der Pilze.
    +-Wann darf Terbinafin-Mepha nicht angewendet werden?

    Terbinafin-Mepha soll nicht angewendet werden, wenn bei früheren Behandlungen mit Terbinafin-Mepha oder verwandten Präparaten Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen aufgetreten sind.

    Da bisher wenige Erfahrungen mit Terbinafin-Mepha bei der Behandlung von Pilzinfektionen bei Kindern unter 5 Jahren (Körpergewicht unter 20 kg) vorliegen, sollten diese Terbinafin-Mepha nicht einnehmen.

    Terbinafin-Mepha soll nicht angewendet werden, wenn Sie

    • Leberprobleme haben oder hatten,
    • Nierenprobleme haben.
    +-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Terbinafin-Mepha Vorsicht geboten?

    Bitte teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin unverzüglich mit,

    • wenn Sie bei sich Symptome wie andauernde Übelkeit, Appetitlosigkeit, Müdigkeit, Erbrechen, Schmerzen im oberen rechten Bauchraum, Gelbsucht, Dunkelverfärbung des Urins oder heller Stuhl haben oder bei sich feststellen, da dies Anzeichen für eine schwere Leberstörung sein können. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird vielleicht vor und regelmässig während der Behandlung mit Terbinafin-Mepha Blutproben nehmen um Ihre Leberfunktion zu überwachen. Im Falle nicht normaler Testergebnisse kann er bzw. sie Sie auffordern Terbinafin-Mepha nicht mehr einzunehmen. Ebenfalls ist eine Information des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin wichtig, wenn Sie zusätzlich Arzneimittel zur Behandlung von Magenerkrankungen oder Infektionskrankheiten einnehmen müssen. Die Anwendung von Terbinafin-Mepha bei Patientinnen oder Patienten mit chronischer oder aktiver Leberkrankheit wird nicht empfohlen.
    • wenn Sie Hautprobleme haben wie einen Ausschlag, eine rote Haut, Bläschenbildung auf den Lippen, Augen oder dem Mund, abblätternde Haut, Fieber (mögliche Anzeichen von schwerwiegenden Hautreaktionen), Ausschlag auf Grund erhöhter Zahl einer bestimmten Art weisser Blutkörperchen (Eosinophilie).
    • wenn Sie verdickte rote/silberfarbene Hautstellen (mögliche Anzeichen von Schuppenflechte) oder Gesichtsausschlag, Gelenkschmerz, Muskelkrankheit, Fieber (mögliche Anzeichen von kutanem und systemischem Lupus erythematosus) haben.
    • wenn Sie sich schwach fühlen, ungewöhnliche Blutungen, Blutergüsse oder häufige Infektionen haben (Anzeichen von Blutkrankheiten).

    Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

    • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
    • Allergien haben oder
    • andere Arzneimittel (einschliesslich pflanzliche Arzneimittel, Antibabypille (orale Kontrazeptiva) und nicht verschreibungspflichtige, selbstgekaufte Medikamente) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden, insbesondere:
      • gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Magengeschwüre (z.B. Cimetidin)
      • gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Pilzinfektionen (z.B. Fluconazol, Ketoconazol),
      • gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Infektionskrankheiten, die das Antibiotikum Rifampicin enthalten
      • gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Depressionen (trizyklische Antidepressiva (z.B. Desipramin), selektive Serotonin-Wiederaufnahme-Hemmer oder MAO-Hemmer,
      • gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Bluthochdruck (so genannte Betablocker),
      • gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Herzrythmusstörungen (z.B. Amiodaron),
      • Arzneimittel gegen Husten (z.B. Dextromethorphan),
      • Koffein,
      • Ciclosporine (Arzneimittel welche das Immunsystem kontrollieren, z.B. um eine Abstossung transplantierter Organe zu vermeiden).

    Wenn Sie sich schwindlig fühlen während der Behandlung mit Terbinafin-Mepha Tabletten, sollten Sie nicht Auto fahren oder Werkzeuge oder Maschinen bedienen.

    +-Darf Terbinafin-Mepha während der Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

    Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin wenn Sie schwanger sind oder denken, dass Sie schwanger sein könnten. Während der Schwangerschaft ist Terbinafin-Mepha nur auf ausdrückliche Verordnung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin einzunehmen.

    Terbinafin-Mepha wird in die Muttermilch ausgeschieden. Mütter, die Terbinafin-Mepha einnehmen, sollten daher nicht stillen.

    +-Wie verwenden Sie Terbinafin-Mepha?

    Wenn vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, beträgt die übliche Dosierung für Erwachsene eine Tablette zu 250 mg pro Tag.

    Dosierung für Kinder ab 2 Jahren gemäss Anordnung des Arztes oder der Ärztin. Die Anwendung bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren wird nicht empfohlen, da keine Erfahrungen mit dieser Altersgruppe vorliegen.

    Die Tabletten sind unzerkaut mit Flüssigkeit einzunehmen. Die Wirksamkeit von Terbinafin-Mepha wird durch die gleichzeitige Einnahme von Nahrung nicht beeinträchtigt, es kann somit auf leeren Magen oder nach einer Mahlzeit eingenommen werden. Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin wird über die Dauer der Therapie entscheiden. Die regelmässige Einnahme von Terbinafin-Mepha ist ausschlaggebend für den Erfolg der Behandlung. Es wird empfohlen, Terbinafin-Mepha jeden Tag zur selben Zeit einzunehmen.

    Falls Sie aus Versehen zu viele Tabletten eingenommen haben, fragen Sie sofort einen Arzt oder ein Krankenhaus um Rat. Es kann sein, dass sie medizinische Betreuung brauchen. Dasselbe trifft zu, wenn jemand aus Versehen ihre Medizin eingenommen hat. Symptome einer Überdosis von Terbinafin-Mepha Tabletten beinhalten Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Magenschmerzen und Schwindel.

    Wenn Sie vergessen haben, Terbinafin-Mepha einzunehmen, nehmen Sie Ihre Tablette(n) sobald Sie sich daran erinnern, ausser Ihre nächste Dosis ist in weniger als 4 Stunden fällig. Warten Sie in diesem Fall und nehmen Sie die nächste Dosis zur gewohnten Zeit. Nehmen sie keine doppelte Dosis um die vergessene Dosis auszugleichen.

    Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

    Bei manchen Patienten können bei der Einnahme von Terbinafin-Mepha gewisse Nebenwirkungen auftreten.

    Einige Nebenwirkungen könnten schwerwiegend sein:

    Es ist in seltenen Fällen möglich, dass eine Behandlung mit Terbinafin-Mepha zu Leberstörungen führt, in sehr seltenen Fällen können die Leberstörungen schwerwiegend sein. Schwerwiegende Nebenwirkungen beinhalten auch die Abnahme einer bestimmten Art weisser Blutkörperchen, Lupus (eine Autoimmunkrankheit), schwere Hautreaktionen, schwere allergische Reaktionen, Entzündung der Blutgefässe, Entzündung der Bauchspeicheldrüse oder Muskelschwund (Rhabdomyolyse).

    Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin umgehend mit,

    • Wenn Sie Symptome wie unerklärliche anhaltende Übelkeit, Magenbeschwerden, Appetitverlust, ungewöhnliche Müdigkeit, Gelbverfärbung von Augen oder Haut, Dunkelverfärbung des Urins oder heller Stuhl feststellen (mögliche Anzeichen von Leberproblemen).
    • Wenn Sie Fieber/Schüttelfrost, Halsschmerzen oder Aphthen auf Grund von Infektionen und Schwachheit haben oder wenn Sie häufiger Infektionen bekommen oder ungewöhnliche Blutungen oder Blutergüsse feststellen (mögliche Anzeichen von Krankheiten, die die Anzahl von bestimmten Typen von Blutzellen beeinträchtigen).
    • Wenn Sie Atembeschwerden, Schwindel, Schwellungen hauptsächlich im Gesicht und im Rachen, Hitzegefühl, krampfartige Bauchschmerzen und Bewusstseinsverlust bekommen oder wenn Sie Symptome haben wie Gelenkschmerzen, Steifheit, Ausschlag, Fieber oder geschwollene/vergrösserte Lymphknoten (mögliche Anzeichen einer schweren allergischen Reaktion).
    • Wenn Sie Symptome wie Ausschlag, Fieber, Juckreiz, Müdigkeit haben oder wenn Sie violett-rote Punkte unter der Hautoberfläche feststellen (mögliche Anzeichen einer Entzündung ihrer Blutgefässe).
    • Wenn Sie irgendwelche Hautprobleme bekommen wie Ausschlag, gerötete Haut, Bläschenbildung auf den Lippen, Augen oder dem Mund, abblätternde Haut, Fieber.
    • Wenn Sie starke Schmerzen im oberen Bauchraum spüren mit Ausstrahlung in den Rücken (mögliche Anzeichen einer Entzündung Ihrer Bauchspeicheldrüse).
    • Wenn Sie unerklärliche Muskelschwäche und Schmerzen oder dunklen (rot-braunen) Urin haben (mögliche Anzeichen von Muskelschwund).

    Über folgende Nebenwirkungen wurde bei Einnahme von Terbinafin berichtet:

    Sehr häufig: Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, leichte Bauchschmerzen, Magenbrennen, Durchfall, Völlegefühl, Appetitverlust, Hautausschläge, Muskel- und Gelenkschmerzen.

    Häufig: affektive Störung (Depression), Störungen des Geschmackssinnes (bis zum Verlust der Geschmacksempfindung), Schwindel, Sehstörung und Müdigkeit.

    Gelegentlich: ungewöhnlich bleiche Haut, Schleimhäute oder Nagelbetten von Fingern oder Zehen ungewöhnliche Erschöpfung oder Schwäche oder Atemnot nach Anstrengung (mögliche Anzeichen einer Krankheit, die die Anzahl roter Blutkörperchen beeinträchtigt), Angst, Kribbeln oder Taubheitsgefühl und verringerte Sensitivität der Haut, Lichtüberempfindlichkeit der Haut, Wahrnehmung von Geräuschen in der Abwesenheit von Klang (z.B. Rauschen, Klingeln) in den Ohren , Fieber und Gewichtsverlust.

    Selten: gelbe Augen oder Haut (Leberprobleme) und nicht normale Ergebnisse von Leberfunktionstests.

    Sehr selten: Abnahme bestimmter Arten von Blutzellen, Lupus (eine Autoimmunkrankheit), schwere Hautreaktionen, allergische Reaktionen, Psoriasis-artiger Hautausschlag (Ausschlag mit silberfarbenem Aussehen), Verschlechterung einer Psoriasis, Hautausschlag mit Schuppung oder Abblättern und Haarausfall.

    Folgende Nebenwirkungen wurden ebenfalls gemeldet:

    Schwere allergische Reaktionen oder Infektionen, Entzündung der Blutgefässe, Geruchsstörungen einschliesslich Verlust des Geruchssinns, reduziertes Riechvermögen, verschwommenes Sehen, reduzierte Sehschärfe, Entzündung der Bauchspeicheldrüse, Hautausschlag auf Grund hoher Zahl einer bestimmten Art weisser Blutkörperchen, Muskelschwund, Grippe-ähnliche Symptome (z.B. Müdigkeit, Halsschmerzen, Muskel- oder Gelenkschmerzen) und Zunahme eines Muskelenzyms im Blut (Creatinphosphokinase).

    Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn eine der genannten Nebenwirkungen Sie stark beeinträchtigt.

    Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

    Terbinafin-Mepha soll ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.

    Terbinafin-Mepha Tabletten sind trocken, vor Licht geschützt, in der Originalpackung bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) zu lagern.

    Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
