Tavegyl enthält den Wirkstoff Clemastin, ein Antihistaminikum, welches zur Linderung der Allergie-Symptome eingesetzt wird. Tavegyl hemmt die Wirkung von Histamin, eine Substanz, die bei allergischen Reaktionen (wie Ausschlag, Schwellungen von Geweben, starkem Juckreiz) freigesetzt wird.
Tavegyl lindert die Symptome bei
Wenn Sie zur Wirkungsweise von Tavegyl noch Fragen haben, so fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Kindern unter 6 Jahren darf Tavegyl nicht verabreicht werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit auf Clemastin, andere ähnliche Antiallergika (Mittel gegen Überempfindlichkeit) oder Hilfsstoffe der Tabletten soll Tavegyl nicht eingenommen werden.
Nach der Einnahme von Tavegyl kann Müdigkeit auftreten. Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen beeinträchtigen! Wenn Sie solche Nebenwirkungen bemerken, sollten Sie kein Auto lenken und keine Maschinen bedienen.
Patienten mit grünem Star, schweren Magenerkrankungen, Prostata- und Blasenleiden sollten Tavegyl nur auf Verordnung des Arztes oder der Ärztin einnehmen. Tavegyl verstärkt die Wirkung von Beruhigungsmitteln und Schlafmitteln.
Tavegyl kann die Wirkung von Alkohol verstärken. Vermeiden Sie den Alkoholkonsum, wenn Sie dieses Arzneimittel einnehmen.
Tavegyl Tabletten enthalten Lactose; falls Sie eine Unverträglichkeit gegenüber gewissen Zuckern haben, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin bevor Sie Tavegyl einnehmen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
Tavegyl darf während einer geplanten Schwangerschaft, der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit nicht eingenommen werden.
Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt/Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin/Apothekerin bevor Sie Arzneimittel während der Schwangerschaft einnehmen.
Tavegyl-Tabletten werden vor dem Essen mit einem Glas Wasser eingenommen.
1 Tablette morgens und abends. Falls vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, können täglich bis zu 6 Tabletten eingenommen werden; die maximale Einzeldosis beträgt 2 Tabletten.
½ bis 1 Tablette vor dem Frühstück und vor dem Schlafengehen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Unter Tavegyl kann es sehr häufig zu Müdigkeit, vorwiegend bei Kindern auch zu Erregungszuständen des zentralen Nervensystems, kommen. Häufig kann es auch zu Schläfrigkeit kommen. Gelegentlich können Mundtrockenheit, Kopfschmerzen, Schwindel, Hautreaktionen, Übelkeit, Magenschmerzen und Verstopfung auftreten. Selten kann es zu einem Herzrasen kommen. Sehr selten können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (Hautausschlag, Atemnot, Schock) vorkommen. Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Tavegyl soll wie alle Arzneimittel ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden. Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) lagern. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
