+-Was ist Rizatriptan Spirig HC und wann wird es angewendet?

Rizatriptan Spirig HC wird verwendet, um Migräneanfälle bei Erwachsenen zu behandeln. Rizatriptan Spirig HC darf nicht zur Vorbeugung (Prophylaxe) von Migräneanfällen verwendet werden. Rizatriptan Spirig HC gehört zu einer Klasse von Arzneimitteln, welche selektive 5-HT_1B/1D-Rezeptor-Agonisten genannt werden.

Die Behandlung mit Rizatriptan Spirig HC vermindert die Erweiterung der das Gehirn umgebenden Blutgefässe. Diese Erweiterung bewirkt die Kopfschmerzen bei einem Migräneanfall.

Rizatriptan Spirig HC Schmelztablettendürfen nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin eingenommen werden.

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Migräne ist ein intensiver, klopfender, typischerweise einseitig auftretender Kopfschmerz, der oft von Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Licht- und Lärmempfindlichkeit begleitet wird.

Bei einigen Menschen können vor dem Auftreten der Kopfschmerzen visuelle Symptome auftreten, wie zum Beispiel das Wahrnehmen von Blitzlichtern oder Wellenlinien, was als Aura bezeichnet wird.

Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin wird auf Grund Ihrer Symptome entscheiden, ob Sie an einer Migräne leiden.

Gewisse Umstände können einen Migräneanfall auslösen. Dazu gehören:

gewisse Speisen oder Getränke (z.B. Käse, Schokolade, Zitrusfrüchte, Kaffee, Alkohol);
Stress;
Änderung von Gewohnheiten (z.B. zu wenig/zu viel Schlaf, Auslassen von Mahlzeiten, Veränderung von Essgewohnheiten);
hormonale Veränderungen bei Frauen (z.B. Monatsblutung).

Sie können einem Migräneanfall vorbeugen oder deren Häufigkeit senken, wenn Sie herausfinden, was speziell bei Ihnen einen Anfall auslösen kann. Das Führen eines Kopfschmerzkalenders wird Ihnen helfen, alle Ihre möglichen Migräneauslöser zu erkennen und zu beobachten. Ist der Auslöser erst einmal bekannt, können Sie und Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin Ihre Behandlung sowie Ihren Lebensstil in geeigneter Weise verändern.

+-Wann darf Rizatriptan Spirig HC nicht eingenommen/angewendet werden?

Nehmen Sie Rizatriptan Spirig HC nicht ein, falls Sie:

allergisch auf irgendeinen der Inhaltsstoffe reagieren;
einen unbehandelten hohen Blutdruck haben;
an einer Herzkrankheit leiden oder in der Vergangenheit an einer Herzkrankheit gelitten haben (Herzinfarkt);
an Durchblutungsstörungen des Herzens (Angina pectoris) leiden;
einen Hirnschlag oder eine vorübergehende Durchblutungsstörung des Gehirns (TIA) haben oder hatten;
Durchblutungsstörungen der Gliedmassen, andere Durchblutungsstörungen oder eine ischämische Darmerkrankung (Erkrankung infolge Durchblutungsstörung des Darms) haben oder hatten;
eine schwere Leberfunktionsstörung haben;
zur Zeit Monoaminoxidase (MAO)-Hemmer einnehmen, wie zum Beispiel Moclobemide (Aurorix^®) oder innerhalb der letzten zwei Wochen MAO-Hemmer eingenommen haben.

+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme/Anwendung von Rizatriptan Spirig HC Vorsicht geboten?

Ein Migräneanfall oder die Behandlung mit Rizatriptan Spirig HC kann bei einigen Patienten Schläfrigkeit auslösen. Von einigen Patienten, welche Rizatriptan Spirig HC erhielten, wurde auch über Schwindel berichtet. Beim Lenken eines Fahrzeuges oder beim Bedienen von Maschinen ist deshalb spezielle Vorsicht geboten.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, sowie

über alle Ihre früheren oder aktuellen medizinischen Probleme
über alle Risikofaktoren für eine Herzkrankheit
Hoher Blutdruck oder Zuckerkrankheit (Diabetes mellitus)
Rauchen
Herzkrankheiten in der Familiengeschichte
wenn bei Ihnen die Diagnose «ischämische Kolitis» (Erkrankung infolge Durchblutungsstörung des Dickdarms) gestellt wurde
über irgendwelche Allergien, die Sie haben oder gehabt haben
über alle Arzneimittel, die Sie zur Zeit einnehmen oder vorhaben einzunehmen, auch solche, die Sie ohne Rezept selbst gekauft haben und jene, die Sie normalerweise bei einer Migräne einnehmen.
Sie sollten Rizatriptan Spirig HC nur bei einem Migräneanfall einnehmen. Rizatriptan Spirig HC sollte nicht angewendet werden, um Kopfschmerzen zu behandeln, die durch eine andere, schwerwiegendere Ursache bedingt sein können.

Nehmen Sie Rizatriptan Spirig HC nicht zusammen mit anderen Arzneimitteln aus der gleichen Wirkstoffklasse, wie zum Beispiel Sumatriptan (Imigran^®), oder andere Migränemittel vom Ergotamin-Typ, wie zum Beispiel Ergotamin (Cafergot^®), Dihydroergotamin (Dihydergot^®) oder Methysergid (Deseril^® retard) ein.

Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wie Sie Rizatriptan Spirig HC einnehmen sollen, wenn Sie zur Zeit Propranolol (Inderal^®) einnehmen.

In seltenen Fällen kann ein sogenanntes «Serotonin-Syndrom» auftreten, wenn Triptane wie Rizatriptan Spirig HC zusammen mit anderen Arzneimitteln mit serotonerger Wirkung angewendet werden. Dazu gehören bestimmte Arzneimittel gegen Depression (z.B. sogenannte selektive Serotonin-Wiederaufnahme-Hemmer oder selektive Serotonin/Noradrenalin-Wiederaufnahme-Hemmer, sog. MAO-Hemmer, L-Tryptophan, Lithium, trizyklische Antidepressiva u.a.). Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie mit diesen Arzneimitteln behandelt werden. Das «Serotonin-Syndrom» kann folgende Symptome umfassen: Gesteigerte Erregbarkeit der Muskeleigenreflexe, Muskelzuckungen, Zittern, Unruhe, Angst, Halluzinationen, Reizbarkeit, Verwirrtheitszustand und Bewusstlosigkeit, schneller Herzschlag, Blutdruckschwankungen, Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Fieber und Durchfall. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wenn nach der Einnahme von Rizatriptan Spirig HC eines dieser Symptome auftritt.

Es liegen noch keine Erfahrungen über die Anwendung von Rizatriptan Spirig HC bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren vor. Deshalb ist die Anwendung von Rizatriptan Spirig HC bei diesen Patienten nicht empfohlen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
Allergien haben oder
andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.

+-Darf Rizatriptan Spirig HC während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen/angewendet werden?

Es ist nicht bekannt, ob Rizatriptan Spirig HC für ein ungeborenes Baby schädlich ist, wenn das Arzneimittel von einer schwangeren Frau eingenommen wird.

Falls Sie schwanger sind oder schwanger werden möchten, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin. Sie dürfen Rizatriptan Spirig HC nur einnehmen, falls dies Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin ausdrücklich erlaubt hat.

Dasselbe gilt, falls Sie stillen oder stillen möchten.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Rizatriptan Spirig HC?

Die Dosierung von Rizatriptan Spirig HC zur Behandlung Ihres Migräneanfalls wird von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin festgelegt. Die übliche Dosierung für Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 18 Jahre beträgt 5 mg oder 10 mg Rizatriptan Spirig HC. Beim ersten Anzeichen eines Migräneanfalls oder auch während des Anfalls ist eine Schmelztablette Rizatriptan Spirig HC zu 5 mg oder 10 mg einzunehmen. Rizatriptan Spirig HC Schmelztablettenkönnen ohne Flüssigkeit eingenommen werden.

Falls Ihre Migräne wieder auftritt, so können Sie eine weitere Schmelztablette Rizatriptan Spirig HC einnehmen. Innerhalb von 24 Stunden dürfen jedoch nicht mehr als 30 mg (z.B. 3 Schmelztabletten Rizatriptan Spirig HC zu 10 mg) eingenommen werden und zwischen der Einnahme der einzelnen Dosen sollten immer mindestens zwei Stunden vergangen sein.

Falls Sie bei einem Migräneanfall nicht auf die erste Schmelztablette Rizatriptan Spirig HC ansprechen, so wird empfohlen, für die Behandlung des gleichen Anfalls nicht noch einmal Rizatriptan Spirig HC einzunehmen.

Falls sich Ihr Zustand verschlechtert, so suchen Sie um medizinische Hilfe nach.

Nehmen Sie im Falle einer Überdosierung unverzüglich mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin Kontakt auf, so dass sofort medizinische Hilfe geleistet werden kann.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung des Arzneimittels. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Rizatriptan Spirig HC haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Rizatriptan Spirig HCauftreten: Es können Schwindel, Schläfrigkeit und Müdigkeit auftreten. Andere gelegentliche unerwünschte Wirkungen waren Unwohlsein im Magen oder Magenschmerzen, Durchfall, Brustschmerzen, Gefühle von Schwere oder Steifheit in gewissen Körperpartien, Nackenschmerzen, Muskelschwäche, Durst, Mundtrockenheit, Unwohlsein im Rachen, Kribbeln, Hautrötung (kurzandauernde Rötung des Gesichtes), Wärmegefühl, Herzrasen, Schlaflosigkeit, Nervosität, verminderte geistige Wachsamkeit, Zittern, Atembeschwerden, Schwitzen, Juckreiz oder verschwommenes Sehvermögen. Selten wurde über Schwächeanfälle, hohen Blutdruck oder Krampfanfälle berichtet.

Zusätzlich wurde über Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (allergische Reaktionen aller Schweregrade) einschliesslich Schwellung des Gesichts, der Lippen, Zunge und/oder des Rachens (mit Schluck- oder Atembeschwerden), pfeifende Atmung, Atemnot, Nesselausschlag, Hautausschlag, blasige Ablösung der Haut, Störung des Geschmackempfindens, Gesichtsschmerzen, Muskelschmerzen und mangelnde Durchblutung der Gliedmassen (einschliesslich Kälte und Taubheit der Hände und Füsse) berichtet. Über Veränderungen des Herzschlagrhythmus oder der Herzschlagrate (Verlangsamung der Herzschlagrate) und über krampfartige Verengung der Blutgefässe des Dickdarms (ischämische Kolitis) ist ebenfalls berichtet worden. Über Abnormalitäten im Elektrokardiogramm (ein Test, welcher die elektrische Aktivität Ihres Herzens aufzeichnet) wurde ebenfalls berichtet.

Wie bei anderen Arzneimitteln dieser Klasse wurde selten über Herzanfall und Schlaganfall bei Patienten mit Risikofaktoren für eine Herzkreislauferkrankung (Bluthochdruck, Zuckerkrankheit, Rauchen, Herzkrankheit oder Schlaganfall in der Familiengeschichte) berichtet.

Berichten Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin sofort, wenn Sie Symptome solcher Art oder andere ungewöhnlichen Symptome empfinden. Sollten die Symptome länger anhalten oder sich verschlimmern, wenden Sie sich unverzüglich an Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.

Informieren Sie ausserdem Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie nach der Einnahme von Rizatriptan Spirig HC irgendwelche Symptome verspüren, die an eine allergische Reaktion (wie zum Beispiel eine Hautrötung oder Juckreiz) denken lassen.

Wenn Sie Rizatriptan Spirig HC zu häufig einnehmen, kann dies zu chronischen Kopfschmerzen führen. In solchen Fällen sollten Sie sich an Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wenden, da Sie die Einnahme von Rizatriptan Spirig HC eventuell beenden sollten.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C), in der Originalverpackung und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Verpackung mit «Exp.» Bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Entnehmen Sie die Rizatriptan Spirig HC Schmelztablette nicht aus dem Blister, bevor Sie bereit sind, das darin enthaltene Arzneimittel einzunehmen.
