Sie können die Wirksamkeit von Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker verbessern, indem Sie stets genügend Flüssigkeit zu sich nehmen, und - falls Sie Raucher sind - zumindest vorübergehend auf das Rauchen verzichten.
Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker ist sehr kalorienarm und ist für Diabetiker geeignet: 15 ml Sirup Erwachsene entsprechen 13,6 kJ (3,25 kcal) und 5 ml Sirup Kinder entsprechen 12.54 kJ (3 kcal).
Nehmen Sie Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker nicht ein, wenn Sie an Magen- oder Zwölffingerdarmgeschwür leiden oder gegen einen darin enthaltenen Stoff allergisch sind.
Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker Erwachsene darf nicht an Kinder unter 12 Jahren verabreicht werden.
Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker Kinder darf nicht an Kinder unter 2 Jahren verabreicht werden.
Wenn Sie Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker nehmen, dürfen Sie nicht gleichzeitig Hustenmittel einnehmen, da diese Mittel den Auswurf verhindern und deshalb in den Bronchien eine Ansammlung der durch Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker verflüssigten Sekreten verursachen können, was das Risiko von Atemwegsinfektionen und Bronchialmuskelkrampf erhöht.

Falls Sie schwanger sind, oder es werden möchten, oder falls Sie Ihr Kind stillen, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber auf die Einnahme von Medikamenten verzichten. Was Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker betrifft, weiss man nicht, ob seine Wirksubstanz, das Carbocistein, durch die Plazenta dringt oder in die Muttermilch übergeht. Seine Auswirkungen auf das ungeborene Kind und auf den Säugling sind nicht bekannt.
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie deshalb dieses Medikament weder in der Schwangerschaft noch während der Stillzeit einnehmen.
Befolgen Sie die Anweisungen des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin.
Die üblichen Dosen sind:
Jugendliche über 12 Jahren: 5 ml 3 bis 4 mal täglich, bis 10 ml 3 bis 4-mal täglich.
Erwachsene: 15 ml 3-mal täglich.
Bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker Kinder verwenden.
Kinder von 2 bis 5 Jahren: 5 ml 1 bis 3 mal täglich.
Kinder von 6 bis 11 Jahren: 10 ml 3-mal täglich.
Halten Sie sich an die im Prospekt angegebene oder vom Arzt verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Medikament wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker auftreten:
Hohe Dosen können gelegentlich zu Magenschmerzen, Erbrechen, Magenbrennen, Brechreiz und Durchfall führen. In diesen Fällen ist die Dosis zu reduzieren.
In seltenen Fällen können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (Allergien) auftreten. Sie machen sich in Form von Hautausschlägen, Schweissausbrüchen, Herzklopfen und/oder Atembeschwerden bemerkbar.
In seltenen Fällen wurden Kopfschmerzen gemeldet.
Es wurden vereinzelte Fälle von Dermatitis bullöse oder toxica, Stevens-Johnson-Syndrom und Erythema multiforme beobachtet.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Das Medikament darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Das Medikament ist ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Rhinathiol Sirup ohne Zucker bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufbewahren. Nach Öffnung soll er innerhalb von 2 Wochen benutzt werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
