Requip/Requip-Modutab ist ein Arzneimittel aus der Klasse der Dopamin-Agonisten.
Dopamin ist ein Stoff, der bei der Parkinsonschen Krankheit in bestimmten Zentren des Gehirns in ungenügender Menge vorliegt. Dieser Mangel kann zu Störungen wie verlangsamten Bewegungen, Steifigkeit der Muskulatur und Zittern führen. Requip/Requip-Modutab lindert die Symptome, indem es die Wirkung von Dopamin nachahmt.
Es kann im Frühstadium der Parkinsonschen Krankheit angewendet werden. Dabei verzögern die Requip Filmtabletten die Notwendigkeit einer Therapie mit Levodopa (chemische Vorstufe von Dopamin). Wird Requip/Requip-Modutab zusammen mit Levodopa verabreicht, kann die Dosis von Levodopa vermindert werden. Damit werden unangenehme Begleiterscheinungen der chronischen Levodopa-Therapie besser kontrolliert.
Requip/Requip-Modutab heilt die Krankheit nicht, da es die Ursachen des Dopaminmangels nicht beheben kann. Eine ursächliche Bekämpfung des Dopaminmangels ist bis heute nicht möglich.
Requip/Requip-Modutab darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin verwendet werden.
Requip/Requip-Modutab darf nicht eingenommen werden:
Wenn Sie an schweren Herz-Kreislauf-Problemen leiden, ist bei der Einnahme von Requip/Requip-Modutab Vorsicht geboten.
Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mit, wenn Sie unter bestimmten psychischen Erkrankungen wie Schizophrenie leiden. Er/sie wird im Einzelfall abklären, ob die Einnahme von Requip/Requip-Modutab gestattet ist oder nicht.
Bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren darf Requip/Requip-Modutab nicht angewendet werden, da noch keine Untersuchungen zu Wirksamkeit und Verträglichkeit vorliegen.
Requip-Modutab, Filmtabletten mit verlängerter Wirkstofffreisetzung zu 4 mg enthalten den Azofarbstoff Gelborange S (E110). Patientinnen und Patienten, die auf Azofarbstoffe, Acetylsalicylsäure sowie Rheuma- und Schmerzmittel (Prostaglandinhemmer) überempfindlich reagieren, sollen Requip-Modutab, Filmtabletten mit verlängerter Wirkstofffreisetzung zu 4 mg nicht anwenden.
Manche Patienten bzw. Patientinnen haben unter Einnahme von Requip/Requip-Modutab für sie ungewöhnliche Verhaltensweisen gezeigt. Beispiele für ein solches Verhalten sind ein ungewöhnlich starker Spieldrang (Glücksspiel mit vermehrten Geldausgaben), gesteigerter Sexualtrieb, unkontrollierbarer Kauf- oder Esszwang und/oder andere Störungen der Impulskontrolle (Unfähigkeit, plötzlichen Impulsen zu widerstehen) bzw. zwanghafte Verhaltensweisen. Falls Sie bei sich selber oder Ihre Familienmitglieder/Betreuungspersonen bei Ihnen die Entwicklung von für Sie untypischen, ungewöhnlichen Verhaltensweisen feststellen, besprechen Sie dies bitte mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen!
Einige Patientinnen und Patienten können sich zu Beginn der Therapie schläfrig oder schwindlig fühlen. Ferner können plötzliches Einschlafen ohne jegliche Warnsymptome von Müdigkeit oder starke Schläfrigkeit tagsüber auftreten. Sie dürfen deshalb während der Einnahme von Requip/Requip-Modutab kein Motorfahrzeug führen oder andere Aktivitäten ausüben (z.B. Maschinen bedienen), bei denen eine verminderte Aufmerksamkeit Sie selbst oder andere gefährdet, falls Sie an plötzlichem Einschlafen oder an starker Müdigkeit tagsüber leiden und bis ausreichend Erfahrungen über die Beeinträchtigungen vorliegen.
Während der Behandlung sollte kein Alkohol konsumiert werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
Sie dürfen Requip/Requip-Modutab nicht einnehmen, wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen. Wenn Sie während der Behandlung schwanger werden, müssen Sie umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin konsultieren.
Wichtig für den Erfolg der Behandlung ist die Einnahme der richtigen Menge zum richtigen Zeitpunkt. Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin wird deshalb die für Ihren Fall richtige Dosis und Häufigkeit der Einnahme festlegen und in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Ihnen das für Sie bestgeeignete Dosierungsschema finden. Befolgen Sie deshalb seine Anweisungen mit peinlicher Genauigkeit.
Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin wird Ihnen zu Beginn der Behandlung Requip/Requip-Modutab in geringen Dosen verschreiben und die Dosis allmählich steigern. Damit werden unerwünschte Begleiterscheinungen so weit als möglich vermieden, und Ihr Körper hat Zeit zur Anpassung an das Arzneimittel. Falls Sie gleichzeitig Levodopa einnehmen, können zu Beginn der Behandlung mit Requip/Requip-Modutab möglicherweise unkontrollierbare Bewegungen (Dyskinesien) auftreten. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie solche Symptome bemerken, damit er/sie die Dosis der Arzneimittel gegebenenfalls anpassen kann.
Die Requip Filmtabletten sind jeweils dreimal täglich mit oder ohne Nahrung einzunehmen. Eine Tagesdosis von 24 mg darf nicht überschritten werden.
Die Requip-Modutab, Filmtabletten mit verlängerter Wirkstofffreisetzung sind jeweils einmal täglich immer etwa um die gleiche Zeit mit oder ohne Nahrung einzunehmen. Während der ersten Behandlungswoche wird eine Filmtablette zu 2 mg 1x täglich eingenommen. In der 2. Woche müssen Sie dann zwei Filmtabletten zu 2 mg 1x täglich einnehmen. Danach kann Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin die Tagesdosis bei Bedarf schrittweise weiter erhöhen. Falls Sie bereits ein anderes ropinirolhaltiges Präparat einnehmen, wird Ihnen Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin die für Sie geeignete Dosierung verschreiben. Eine Tagesdosis von 24 mg darf nicht überschritten werden.
Die Requip-Modutab Filmtabletten mit verlängerter Wirstofffreisetzung setzen den enthaltenen Wirkstoff über einen Zeitraum von 24 Stunden frei. Wenn Sie an einer Erkrankung leiden, aufgrund der das Arzneimittel zu schnell wieder aus dem Körper ausgeschieden wird, z. B. bei Durchfallerkrankungen, Reizdarmsyndrom, nach Darmoperationen, bei Einnahme von Abführmitteln, löst bzw. lösen sich die Filmtablette(n) möglicherweise nicht vollständig auf und können daher nicht wie beabsichtigt wirken. Die Filmtabletten sind unter Umständen in Ihrem Stuhl erkennbar. Benachrichtigen Sie in diesem Fall bitte möglichst umgehend Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Requip/Requip-Modutab auftreten:
Zu Beginn der Behandlung mit Requip/Requip-Modutab können Schläfrigkeit und Schwindel auftreten.
Die häufigsten unerwünschten Wirkungen sind Übelkeit, Schläfrigkeit, Schwindel, Wasseransammlungen (z.B. in den Beinen), Bauchschmerzen, Erbrechen, Verstopfung, Bewusstlosigkeit, Bewegungsstörungen, Halluzinationen, Verwirrung und Kopfschmerzen. Möglicherweise kann eine Blutdruckabnahme beobachtet werden.
Manche Patienten bzw. Patientinnen haben unter Einnahme von Requip/Requip-Modutab für sie ungewöhnliche Verhaltensweisen gezeigt. Gelegentlich wurde auch aggressives Verhalten beobachtet.
Selten kann starke Tagesschläfrigkeit oder plötzliches Einschlafen ohne erkennbare Schläfrigkeitsanzeichen auftreten. Wenn Sie sich tagsüber sehr stark müde fühlen oder ohne erkennbare Schläfrigkeitsanzeichen plötzlich einschlafen, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin informieren.
Sehr selten wurden allergische Reaktionen wie gerötete, juckende Schwellungen auf der Haut, Schwellungen im Gesicht, an den Lippen, an Mund, Zunge oder Hals, die zu Schluck- oder Atembeschwerden führen können, Hautausschlag oder starker Juckreiz beobachtet. In einem Einzelfall ist es zu einem Allergie-Schock gekommen, wobei ein Zusammenhang mit der Einnahme von Ropinirol nicht nachgewiesen werden konnte.
Unkontrollierbare Bewegungen (Dyskinesien) treten sehr häufig bei Patienten und Patientinnen, die Requip/Requip-Modutab zusammen mit Levodopa einnehmen, auf. Falls Sie gleichzeitig Levodopa einnehmen, können zu Beginn der Behandlung mit Requip/Requip-Modutab möglicherweise unkontrollierbare Bewegungen (Dyskinesien) auftreten. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie solche Symptome bemerken, damit er/sie die Dosis der Arzneimittel gegebenenfalls anpassen kann.
Requip-Modutab, Filmtabletten mit verlängerter Wirkstofffreisetzung zu 4 mg können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen der Haut- und Atmungsorgane auslösen, insbesondere bei Patientinnen oder Patienten mit Asthma, Nesselfieber (chronischer Urtikaria) oder mit Überempfindlichkeit auf Acetylsalicylsäure und andere Rheuma- und Schmerzmittel.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Die Requip Filmtabletten sind vor Licht und Feuchtigkeit geschützt in der Originalverpackung, nicht über 25 °C und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
