    +-Was ist Pregabalin Sandoz und wann wird es angewendet?

    Pregabalin Sandoz gehört zu einer Gruppe von Arzneimitteln die alpha-2-delta-Liganden genannt werden. Diese Arzneimittel werden zur Behandlung von Epilepsie bei Erwachsenen verwendet. Pregabalin Sandoz wird zusätzlich zur Behandlung von generalisierten Angststörungen bei Erwachsenen angewendet.

    Epilepsie

    Pregabalin Sandoz wird bei Erwachsenen zur Behandlung einer bestimmten Form der Epilepsie (partielle Anfälle mit oder ohne sekundäre Generalisierung) verwendet. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird Ihnen Pregabalin Sandoz verschreiben, wenn Ihre gegenwärtige Behandlung nicht zur vollkommenen Kontrolle Ihrer Krankheit ausreicht. Pregabalin Sandoz muss zusätzlich zu Ihrer gegenwärtigen Medikation eingenommen werden.

    Generalisierte Angststörungen

    Pregabalin Sandoz wird bei Erwachsenen angewendet zur Behandlung von generalisierten Angststörungen. Die Symptome von generalisierten Angststörungen sind langanhaltende, schwer behandelbare Angst- und Besorgniszustände. Generalisierte Angststörungen können auch Unruhe, Spannungszustände, leichte Erschöpfbarkeit, Konzentrationsstörungen und Gedankenleere, Reizbarkeit, Muskelverspannungen oder Schlafstörungen hervorrufen.

    Pregabalin Sandoz darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet werden.

    Die Anwendung von Pregabalin Sandoz wurde bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren nicht untersucht und kann deshalb nicht empfohlen werden.

    +-Wann darf Pregabalin Sandoz nicht angewendet werden?

    Pregabalin Sandoz darf nicht angewendet werden, wenn Sie allergisch auf den Wirkstoff Pregabalin, ein anderes Arzneimittel des gleichen Typs (z.B. Neurontin) oder einen Hilfsstoff sind.

    +-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Pregabalin Sandoz Vorsicht geboten?

    Pregabalin Sandoz kann Benommenheit, Schläfrigkeit oder Müdigkeit verursachen. Es gab auch Berichte über Bewusstseinsverlust, Verwirrtheit und Beeinträchtigung des Geisteszustandes. Deshalb kann dieses Arzneimittel die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen. Zudem kann die Häufigkeit von Unfällen (Sturzgefahr) erhöht sein. Deshalb sollten Sie solange vorsichtig sein, bis Sie sich an alle Auswirkungen, die das Arzneimittel haben könnte, gewöhnt haben.

    Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin vor Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels mit, wenn Sie eine Herzerkrankung (Herzmuskelschwäche, ungenügende Herzleistung) haben oder hatten.

    Einige Patienten, die Pregabalin einnahmen, haben über Beschwerden berichtet, die eine allergische Reaktion vermuten lassen. Diese Beschwerden waren z.B. Schwellungen im Gesicht, der Lippen, der Zunge oder der Luftwege, oder auch eine grossflächige Hautrötung. Beim Auftreten dieser Beschwerden müssen Sie umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin aufsuchen.

    Bei Einnahme von Pregabalin Sandoz kann es zu verschwommenem Sehen oder anderen Sehstörungen kommen. Informieren Sie bitte umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie bei sich irgendwelche Veränderungen der Sehkraft feststellen.

    Eine geringe Anzahl von Patienten, die mit Antiepileptika wie Pregabalin Sandoz behandelt wurden, hatten Gedanken daran, sich selbst zu verletzen oder sich das Leben zu nehmen. Wenn Sie zu irgendeinem Zeitpunkt solche Gedanken haben, setzen Sie sich sofort mit Ihrem Arzt in Verbindung.

    Falls Ihre Nierenfunktion eingeschränkt ist, wird Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin die Dosierung von Pregabalin Sandoz entsprechend anpassen. Wenn Ihre Nierenfunktion stark eingeschränkt ist, sollten Sie Pregabalin Sandoz nicht einnehmen.

    Pregabalin Sandoz darf bei Leberfunktionsstörungen nur mit Vorsicht eingenommen werden.

    Bei einigen Patienten wurde unter der Einnahme von Pregabalin über ein Nierenversagen berichtet. Wenn Sie während der Einnahme von Pregabalin Sandoz bei sich eine Verringerung der Harnmenge feststellen, sollten Sie darüber mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin sprechen, da dies durch ein Absetzen des Arzneimittels möglicherweise korrigiert werden kann.

    Wenn Sie alkohol- oder drogenabhängig sind oder waren, sollten Sie mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin sprechen, bevor Sie dieses Arzneimittel einnehmen. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie denken, dass Sie mehr Arzneimittel als verschrieben benötigen.

    Bei einigen Patienten mit Diabetes, die bei Behandlung mit Pregabalin an Gewicht zunehmen, kann es notwendig sein, die Diabetes-Arzneimittel entsprechend anzupassen.

    Pregabalin Sandoz und bestimmte andere Arzneimittel können sich gegenseitig beeinflussen. Insbesondere Oxycodon (Schmerzmittel) und Lorazepam (zur Behandlung von Angstzuständen) können das Ausmass von Benommenheit, Schläfrigkeit und verminderter Konzentrationsfähigkeit verstärken. Die verstopfende Wirkung anderer Arzneimittel, z.B. Opioide (Schmerzmittel) kann bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung mit Pregabalin Sandoz verstärkt werden.

    Pregabalin Sandoz kann zusammen mit der «Pille» genommen werden.

    Der Effekt von Alkoholkonsum kann verstärkt werden, wenn Sie Pregabalin Sandoz einnehmen.

    Nach Absetzen einer Kurzzeit- oder Langzeit-Therapie von Pregabalin wurden bei einigen Patienten Entzugssymptome (wie z.B. Schlafstörungen, Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Durchfall, Grippesymptome, Nervosität, Depressionen, Angstgefühl, Schmerzen, Schwitzen und Benommenheit) beobachtet, welche auch als körperliche Abhängigkeit gedeutet werden können.

    Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

    • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
    • Allergien haben oder
    • andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
    +-Darf Pregabalin Sandoz während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

    Pregabalin Sandoz darf während der Schwangerschaft nicht angewendet werden, ausser wenn dies von Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin verordnet wird. Frauen im gebärfähigen Alter müssen eine wirksame Empfängnisverhütung betreiben. Verständigen Sie sofort Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie während der Behandlung mit Pregabalin Sandoz schwanger werden.

    Pregabalin, der Wirkstoff von Pregabalin Sandoz, geht in die Muttermilch über. Daher sollte entweder das Stillen oder die Behandlung mit Pregabalin Sandoz beendet werden. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird unter Abwägung des Nutzens der Therapie das beste Vorgehen mit Ihnen besprechen.

    +-Wie verwenden Sie Pregabalin Sandoz?

    Nehmen Sie Pregabalin Sandoz immer genau nach Anweisung des Arztes oder der Ärztin ein.

    Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird die für Sie geeignete Dosierung festlegen. Die Ihnen und Ihrer Krankheit angepasste Dosis beträgt üblicherweise 150 mg bis 600 mg pro Tag.

    Pregabalin Sandoz muss zweimal oder dreimal täglich eingenommen werden. Für eine tägliche Dosis von 150 mg nehmen Sie beispielsweise morgens und abends je 1 Kapsel zu 75 mg oder morgens, mittags und abends je 1 Kapsel zu 50 mg ein. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin kann die Dosis schrittweise erhöhen. Dies hängt davon ab, wie Sie auf das Arzneimittel reagieren.

    Schlucken Sie die Kapseln unzerkaut mit genügend Wasser. Pregabalin Sandoz Kapseln können zu oder zwischen den Mahlzeiten eingenommen werden.

    Nehmen Sie Pregabalin Sandoz regelmässig ein, bis Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin die Therapie beendet. Nach Beenden der Behandlung mit Pregabalin können als Entzugserscheinungen bestimmte Nebenwirkungen auftreten. Dazu gehören Schlafprobleme, Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Durchfall, Grippesymptome, Nervosität, Depression, Angstgefühl, Schmerzen, Schwitzen und Benommenheit.

    Die Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit von Pregabalin Sandoz bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren ist bisher nicht geprüft worden. Die Anwendung kann deshalb in dieser Altersgruppe nicht empfohlen werden.

    Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

    Wenn Sie zuviel Pregabalin Sandoz eingenommen haben

    Informieren Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder gehen Sie zur nächsten Notfallstation. Nehmen Sie die Schachtel mit Pregabalin Sandoz Kapseln mit.

    Wenn Sie vergessen haben, Pregabalin Sandoz einzunehmen

    Es ist wichtig, dass Sie Pregabalin Sandoz regelmässig und täglich zur ungefähr gleichen Zeit einnehmen. Wenn Sie eine Einnahme vergessen haben, nehmen Sie die Dosis ein, sobald Sie es bemerken, ausser es ist bereits Zeit für die nächste Dosis. In diesem Fall nehmen Sie wie gewohnt nur die nächste Dosis ein. Nehmen Sie nicht 2 Dosen gleichzeitig ein um eine vergessene nachzuholen.

    +-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Pregabalin Sandoz haben?

    Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Pregabalin Sandoz auftreten:

    Sehr häufig (können bei mehr als 1 von 10 Patienten auftreten): Benommenheit, Schläfrigkeit.

    Häufig (können bei mehr als 1 von 100 Patienten auftreten): Infektion der oberen Atemwege, gesteigerter Appetit, Euphorie, Verwirrtheit, Reizbarkeit, Depression, Desorientierung, Schlaflosigkeit, verminderter Geschlechtstrieb, Störungen der Bewegungsabläufe, Amnesie, Aufmerksamkeits-, Koordinations-, Gleichgewichts-, Gedächtnis- und Sprechstörungen, Zittern, Missempfindungen wie Kribbeln, Brennen oder Taubheitsgefühl (Parästhesien), verminderte Empfindlichkeit auf Berührungsreize, Teilnahmslosigkeit, verschwommenes Sehen, Doppeltsehen, Schwindel, Erbrechen, Verstopfung, Blähungen, Mundtrockenheit, Muskelkrämpfe, Gelenk-, Glieder- und Rückenschmerzen, Verkrampfungen (sogenannte Spasmen) in der Halsregion, Flüssigkeitsansammlung im Gewebe (Ödeme), anormaler Gang, Stürze, Trunkenheitsgefühl, Gefühlsstörungen, Erschöpfung, Gewichtszunahme.

    Gelegentlich (können bei mehr als 1 von 1000 Patienten auftreten): Verminderung der Zahl der weissen Blutkörperchen, Appetitlosigkeit, zu hoher oder zu tiefer Blutzuckerspiegel, Halluzinationen, Ruhelosigkeit, Niedergeschlagenheit, Stimmungsschwankungen, verändertes Persönlichkeitsgefühl, anormale Träume, Wortfindungsprobleme, gesteigerter Geschlechtstrieb, Unfähigkeit, einen sexuellen Höhepunkt zu erreichen, plötzliche Ohnmacht, Muskelzuckungen, Hyperaktivität, Störung des Bewegungsablaufs einer Körperregion oder eines Körperteils, Schwindel beim Lagewechsel, bewegungsabhängiges Zittern, ungewöhnliche Augenbewegungen, Denkstörungen, Sprachstörungen, verringerte Reflexe, erhöhte Empfindlichkeit auf Berührungsreize, brennendes Gefühl, Tunnelblick, Sehstörungen, geschwollene, trockene, schmerzende oder tränende Augen, Gesichtsfeldausfälle, verminderte Sehschärfe, Schwachsichtigkeit, visuelle Wahrnehmungsstörungen, Augenreizungen, erhöhte oder erniedrigte Pulsfrequenz, Herzrhythmusstörungen, niedriger oder erhöhter Blutdruck, Gesichts- oder Hautrötung, Hitzewallungen, Atemprobleme, Nasenbluten, Husten, verstopfte oder laufende Nase, Schnarchen, saures Aufstossen, vermehrter Speichelfluss, verminderte Berührungs- und Schmerzempfindung im Mundbereich, Hautausschlag, Nesselausschlag, Schwitzen, Gelenkschwellung, Muskelschmerzen, Muskelzuckungen, Nackenschmerzen, Steifigkeit der Muskulatur, unwillkürlicher Harnabgang (Inkontinenz), Schmerzen oder Schwierigkeiten beim Wasserlassen, Erektionsstörungen, Störungen der Sexualfunktion, verzögerte Ejakulation, schmerzhafte Regelblutung, Engegefühl in der Brust, Schmerzen, Fieber, Durst, Frösteln, Schwächegefühl, Gewichtsverlust.

    Selten (können bei weniger als 1 von 1000 Patienten auftreten): Panikattacken, Enthemmung, Teilnahmslosigkeit, Versteinerung (vollständiger Aktivitätsverlust bei wachem Bewusstsein), Geruchstäuschung, Geschmacksverlust, verminderte Bewegungsmotorik, Schreibstörungen, Oszillopsie (eine Sehstörung unter der die Umwelt verwackelt wahrgenommen wird), verändertes räumliches Sehen, Pupillenfunktionsstörungen, Schielen, Lichtempfindlichkeit, erhöhte Lärmempfindlichkeit, kalte Hände und Füsse, Engegefühl im Hals, trockene Nase, Bauchwassersucht, Entzündung der Bauchspeicheldrüse, Schluckstörungen, kalter Schweiss, Muskelversagen, Nierenversagen, verminderte Harnausscheidung, Schmerzen in den Brüsten, Ausbleiben der Regelblutung, Absonderungen aus der Brust, Brustvergrösserung.

    Seit der Markteinführung wurden zusätzlich folgende Nebenwirkungen beobachtet: Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Durchfall, allergische Reaktionen (einschliesslich Schwellungen im Gesicht, geschwollene Zunge oder Atembeschwerden sowie einer schweren Hautreaktion gekennzeichnet durch Ausschlag, Blasenbildung, Hautabschälung und Schmerzen), Lungenödem (Flüssigkeitsansammlung in der Lunge), Bewusstseinsverlust, Beeinträchtigung des psychischen Zustandes, Harnverhalt, Herzmuskelschwäche, Juckreiz, Augenentzündung, Unwohlsein, Vergrösserung der Brustdrüse.

    Falls sie Schwellungen im Gesicht oder an der Zunge bemerken, oder falls Ihre Haut rot wird und beginnt, Blasen zu bilden oder sich abzuschälen, informieren Sie bitte sofort Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.

    Falls eine dieser Nebenwirkungen störend ist oder während der Behandlung nicht nachlässt, sollten Sie dies Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen.

    Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

    Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

    In der Originalverpackung, nicht über 25 °C und ausser Reichweite von Kindern lagern.

    1 Kapsel zu 25 mg enthält 25 mg Pregabalin. Die Kapseln zu 25 mg sind beige.

    1 Kapsel zu 50 mg enthält 50 mg Pregabalin. Die Kapseln zu 50 mg sind hellgelb.

    1 Kapsel zu 75 mg enthält 75 mg Pregabalin. Die Kapseln zu 75 mg sind weiss und rot.

    1 Kapsel zu 100 mg enthält 100 mg Pregabalin. Die Kapseln zu 100 mg sind rot.
