+-Was ist PegIntron und wann wird es angewendet?

PegIntron ist ein chemisch verändertes, pegyliertes Interferon. Interferone modifizieren die Reaktionen des körpereigenen Immunsystems, um Infektionen und schwere Krankheiten zu bekämpfen.

PegIntron wird auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin zur Behandlung von Patienten ab 18 Jahren mit chronischer Hepatitis C, einer Virusinfektion der Leber, einschliesslich bei nicht vorbehandelten Patienten mit einer klinisch stabilen HIV Co-Infektion, angewendet.

PegIntron in Kombination mit Ribavirin kann ausserdem für die erneute Behandlung erwachsener Patienten mit chronischer Hepatitis C angewendet werden, die auf eine vorangegangene Kombinationsbehandlung mit einem Interferon und Ribavirin oder auf eine Interferon-Monotherapie nicht angesprochen beziehungsweise einen Rückfall erlitten haben.

Am besten wird PegIntron in Kombination mit Ribavirin verwendet. Im Falle einer Unverträglichkeit oder Kontraindikation gegenüber Ribavirin wird PegIntron allein verwendet.

PegIntron ist als PegIntron Durchstechflasche mit Pulver zur Herstellung einer Injektionslösung, sowie als vorgefüllter CLEARCLICK PegIntron Pen zur Einmalanwendung erhältlich.

+-Wann darf PegIntron nicht angewendet werden?

PegIntron wird nicht zur Anwendung bei Patienten unter 18 Jahren empfohlen.

  • Wenn Sie überempfindlich (allergisch) gegenüber Peginterferon alfa-2b oder einem der sonstigen Bestandteile von PegIntron sind.
  • Wenn Sie überempfindlich (allergisch) gegenüber irgendeinem Interferon sind.
  • Wenn Sie an schwerwiegenden nervlichen oder psychischen Erkrankungen litten, insbesondere schweren Depressionen, wenn Sie Selbstmordgedanken hatten oder sich selbst schaden wollten.
  • Wenn Sie schwere Herzprobleme hatten oder eine Herzerkrankung haben, die in den letzten 6 Monaten nicht unter Kontrolle ist.
  • Wenn Sie eine schwere Nierenerkrankung haben.
  • Wenn Sie eine bestimmte Hepatitis (Autoimmunhepatitis) haben oder an einer anderen Krankheit Ihres Abwehrsystems leiden und Arzneimittel einnehmen, die Ihr Abwehrsystem unterdrücken.
  • Wenn Sie eine schwere, medikamentös nicht kontrollierbare Lebererkrankung haben (ausser Hepatitis C).
  • Wenn Sie eine Schilddrüsenerkrankung haben, die sich durch herkömmliche Therapiemassnahmen nicht beherrschen lässt.
  • Wenn bei Ihnen Umstände vorliegen, die Krämpfe auslösen (Anfälle oder Krampfanfälle).
  • Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen.
+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von PegIntron Vorsicht geboten?
  • Wenn Sie Symptome einer schweren allergischen Reaktion (wie Schwierigkeiten beim Atmen, keuchende Atmung, Nesselausschlag) entwickeln, während Sie dieses Arzneimittel erhalten, suchen Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin auf.
  • Wenn Sie jemals einen Herzinfarkt oder ein Problem mit dem Herzen hatten.
  • Wenn Sie jemals wegen Depressionen oder anderer psychischer Störungen, Verwirrtheit oder Bewusstlosigkeit behandelt worden sind, Selbstmord- oder Mordgedanken hatten, einen Selbstmordversuch unternommen haben, oder Suchtmittel verwendet haben, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, bevor Sie PegIntron verwenden. PegIntron kann frühere psychische Störungen oder Suchtverhalten erneut hervorrufen oder bestehende Probleme verstärken (siehe auch «Welche Nebenwirkungen kann PegIntron haben?»).
  • Wenn Sie eine Erkrankung der Nieren haben und/oder älter als 50 Jahre sind und PegIntron in Kombination mit Arzneimitteln, die Ribavirin enthalten, einnehmen, sollte Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin  Sie besonders sorgfältig auf einen Abfall der Anzahl Ihrer roten Blutkörperchen überwachen.
  • Wenn Sie jemals ein Problem mit Ihrer Leber hatten (ausser Hepatitis C).
    Wenn ihre Leberfunktion eingeschränkt ist, kann PegIntron die Leber zusätzlich schädigen.
    Ihr Arzt wird daher Ihre Leberwerte in den ersten Wochen nach Behandlungsbeginn und danach halbjährlich kontrollieren.
  • Wenn Sie Symptome einer Erkältung oder einer anderen Infektion des Atemtraktes entwickeln, wie Fieber, Husten oder irgendwelche Schwierigkeiten beim Atmen, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.
  • Wenn Sie Diabetiker sind, sollte Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin zusätzlich Augenuntersuchungen anordnen.
  • Wenn Sie eine schwere Erkrankung hatten, die Ihre Atmung oder Ihr Blut betraf.
  • Wenn Sie Schuppenflechte (Psoriasis) haben; sie kann sich während der PegIntron-Behandlung verschlechtern.
  • Wenn Sie beabsichtigen, schwanger zu werden, besprechen Sie dies mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, bevor Sie mit der Anwendung von PegIntron beginnen.
  • Wenn Sie zeitgleich gegen HIV behandelt werden, beachten Sie bitte, dass im Zusammenhang mit einer hochaktiven antiretroviralen Therapie (HAART), einer HIV-Behandlung, Laktatazidose (Übersäurung des Blutes) oder eine Verschlechterung der Leberfunktion auftreten können. Sofern Sie HAART erhalten, kann die zusätzliche Gabe von PegIntron und Ribavirin das Risiko einer Laktatazidose und Leberversagen erhöhen. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird Sie auf Anzeichen und Symptome hierzu überwachen. Darüber hinaus können Patienten, die mit einer PegIntron und Ribavirin-Kombinationstherapie und Zidovudin behandelt werden, möglicherweise ein erhöhtes Risiko haben, eine Anämie (niedrige Anzahl roter Blutkörperchen) zu entwickeln. Wenn Sie wegen einer HIV-Infektion mit Zidovudin oder Stavudin behandelt werden, kann es sein, dass Ribavirin den Wirkmechanismus dieser Medikamente verändert. Daher wird Ihr Blut regelmässig untersucht, um sicher zu sein, dass Ihre HIV-Infektion nicht schlimmer wird. Im Falle einer Verschlechterung wird Ihr Arzt bzw, Ihre Ärztin entscheiden ob Ihre Ribavirin-Behandlung geändert werden muss. Eine gleichzeitige Verabreichung von Ribavirin und Didanosin und/oder Stavudin wird aufgrund des Risikos eine Laktatazidose oder eine Pankreatitis zu entwickeln, nicht empfohlen.
  • PegIntron ist nicht zur Anwendung bei Patienten unter 18 Jahren empfohlen.
  • Wenn Sie ein Organtransplantat erhalten haben, entweder eine Niere oder eine Leber, kann eine Interferonbehandlung das Risiko einer Abstossung erhöhen. Vergessen Sie nicht, dies mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin zu besprechen.

Zahn- und Zahnfleischerkrankungen, die zum Verlust der Zähne führen können, sind bei Patienten berichtet worden, die eine Kombinationstherapie aus PegIntron und Ribavirin erhielten. Zusätzlich kann während einer langfristigen Behandlung mit der Kombination von PegIntron und Ribavirin ein trockener Mund einen schädigenden Effekt auf die Zähne und die Mundschleimhaut haben. Sie sollten Ihre Zähne zweimal täglich gründlich putzen und regelmässige zahnärztliche Untersuchungen durchführen lassen. Zusätzlich können einige Patienten an Erbrechen leiden. Wenn dies bei Ihnen auftritt, sollten Sie danach den Mund gründlich ausspülen.

Wenn Sie sich während der Anwendung von PegIntron müde, schläfrig oder verwirrt fühlen, dürfen Sie sich weder an das Steuer eines Fahrzeugs setzen noch irgendwelche Maschinen oder Werkzeuge bedienen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen!

PegIntron darf nur gleichzeitig mit anderen Arzneimitteln angewendet werden, wenn Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informiert und die Erlaubnis dazu erhalten haben.

+-Darf PegIntron während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Wenden Sie PegIntron  während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit nicht an. Die Auswirkung auf die Schwangerschaft beim Menschen ist nicht bekannt und es ist nicht bekannt, ob dieses Arzneimittel in die Muttermilch übertritt.

Fragen Sie vor der Einnahme von allen Arzneimitteln Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin um Rat.

Wenn Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin Ihnen PegIntron in Kombination mit Ribavirin verschreibt, lesen Sie bitte auch die Hinweise zu Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit in der Patienteninformation von Ribavirin.

+-Wie verwenden Sie PegIntron?

Befolgen Sie zur Anwendung von PegIntron die Anweisungen Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin genau.

Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin hat PegIntron für Sie persönlich und Ihren derzeitigen Krankheitszustand verordnet. Geben Sie dieses Arzneimittel nicht weiter.

Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin hat Ihre Dosis für PegIntron basierend auf Ihrem Körpergewicht ermittelt. Die Dosierung kann, falls erforderlich, während der Behandlung geändert werden.

Kombinationsbehandlung

PegIntron wird üblicherweise in einer Dosierung von 1,5 Mikrogramm/kg Körpergewicht einmal in der Woche zusammen mit Ribavirin Kapseln verabreicht.

Injizieren Sie PegIntron einmal wöchentlich, jeweils am gleichen Wochentag und jeweils zur selben Tageszeit; dies wird Ihnen helfen, die Injektion nicht zu vergessen.

Verursacht PegIntron bei Ihnen Müdigkeit, wenden Sie es am besten jeweils vor dem Schlafengehen an.

Ribavirin Kapseln werden jeden Tag morgens und abends eingenommen. Die Anzahl der einzunehmenden Ribavirin Kapseln hängt von Ihrem Körpergewicht ab:

  • Wiegen Sie weniger als 65 kg, nehmen Sie 2 Kapseln morgens und 2 Kapseln abends (insgesamt 800 mg jeden Tag).
  • Wiegen Sie zwischen 65 und 80 kg, nehmen Sie 2 Kapseln morgens und 3 Kapseln abends (insgesamt 1000 mg jeden Tag).
  • Wiegen Sie zwischen 81 und 105 kg, nehmen Sie 3 Kapseln morgens und 3 Kapseln abends (insgesamt 1200 mg jeden Tag).
  • Wiegen Sie mehr als 105 kg, nehmen Sie 3 Kapseln morgens und 4 Kapseln abends (insgesamt 1400 mg jeden Tag).

Die meisten Patienten werden in der Regel mit der Kombination PegIntron und Ribavirin je nach Genotyp der Erkrankung und Anzahl der Viren im Blut mindestens 6 Monate (Genotyp 1 mit niedriger Anzahl Viren, Genotyp 2-3) bzw. über 1 Jahr (Genotyp 1 mit hoher Anzahl Viren) behandelt. Für Patienten, die gleichzeitig mit Hepatitis C und HIV infiziert sind, beträgt die Dauer der Behandlung mit PegIntron in Kombination mit Ribavirin 48 Wochen.

Monotherapie

Wird PegIntron allein gegeben, wird es üblicherweise in einer Dosierung von 1,0 Mikrogramm/kg einmal in der Woche über 6 Monate bzw. über ein Jahr verabreicht. PegIntron als Monotherapie wurde bei Patienten die gleichzeitig mit Hepatitis C und HIV infiziert sind, nicht untersucht.

Art der Anwendung

PegIntron ist zur subkutanen Anwendung bestimmt. Dies bedeutet, dass PegIntron mit einer kurzen Injektionsnadel in die unmittelbar unter der Haut gelegene Fettschicht injiziert wird. Wenn Sie die Injektion des Arzneimittels selbst vornehmen, wird Ihnen gezeigt werden, wie die Injektionslösung herzustellen und zu verabreichen ist.

Bereiten Sie die Lösung erst unmittelbar vor der beabsichtigten Anwendung zu und verwenden Sie sie dann sofort. Prüfen Sie die zubereitete Lösung vor der Verabreichung visuell. Verwenden Sie die zubereitete Lösung nicht, falls eine Verfärbung vorliegt. Verwerfen Sie die in der Durchstechflasche verbleibende Lösung, nachdem Sie sich das Arzneimittel injiziert haben.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Medikament wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

Was sollten Sie tun, wenn Sie zuviel von der PegIntron Injektionslösung angewendet haben?

PegIntron dürfen Sie nur in der für Sie verordneten Dosis anwenden. Sollten Sie versehentlich eine höhere Dosis der PegIntron Injektionslösung anwenden als vorgeschrieben, wenden Sie sich umgehend an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

Was sollten Sie tun, wenn Sie eine Anwendung von PegIntron vergessen haben?

Die PegIntron-Injektion hat einmal wöchentlich und im Abstand von 7 Tagen zu erfolgen. Falls Sie die Dosis am gewohnten Tag vergessen haben, sollte die ausgelassene Injektion so rasch als möglich nachgeholt werden und der Abstand zur nächsten PegIntron-Injektion muss wieder 7 Tage betragen. Wenden Sie keine doppelte Dosis an, um vergessene Einzeldosen nachzuholen. Fragen Sie, sofern notwendig, Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann PegIntron haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Kombinationsbehandlung mit PegIntron und Ribavirin oder bei der Therapie mit PegIntron alleine auftreten:

Einige Patienten können bei der Anwendung von PegIntron alleine oder in Kombination mit Ribavirin Depressionen bekommen. Diese können sich durch Niedergeschlagenheit, Verwirrtheit, das Gefühl sich selbst schaden zu wollen oder durch ungewohnte Schwierigkeiten beim Schlafen, Denken und Konzentrieren äussern. In seltenen Fällen traten Selbstmordgedanken, Selbstmordversuch oder aggressives Verhalten (manchmal gegen andere Personen gerichtet) oder Mordgedanken auf. Einzelne Patienten haben tatsächlich Selbstmord begangen. Begeben Sie sich umgehend in ärztliche Behandlung, wenn Sie Depressionen entwickeln oder Selbstmordgedanken haben oder Änderungen in Ihrem Verhalten bemerken. Sie sollten ein Familienmitglied oder einen nahen Freund bitten, Ihnen dabei zu helfen, aufmerksam auf Anzeichen von Depressionen oder Veränderungen in Ihrem Verhalten zu achten.

Sprechen Sie umgehend mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, wenn eine der folgenden Nebenwirkungen auftritt:

  • Schmerzen im Brustkorb, Veränderung des Herzschlages
  • Schmerzen im unteren Bereich des Rückens oder auf der Seite (manchmal schwerwiegend)
  • Probleme bei der Atmung (einschliesslich Kurzatmigkeit)
  • Krampfanfälle
  • Halluzinationen
  • Taubheitsgefühl oder Kribbeln
  • starke Magenschmerzen oder -krämpfe
  • Blut oder geronnenes Blut im Stuhl (oder schwarzer, teeriger Stuhl)
  • Fieber oder Schüttelfrost einige Wochen nach Behandlungsbeginn
  • Schwierigkeiten oder Unvermögen Wasser zu lassen, Blut im Urin
  • schmerzende oder entzündete Muskeln
  • Seh- oder Hörstörungen
  • schwerwiegende oder schmerzhafte Rötung der Haut oder der Schleimhaut
  • starkes Nasenbluten

Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird möglicherweise eine Blutuntersuchung vornehmen, um sich zu vergewissern, dass die Zahl der Leukozyten (Zellen für die Bekämpfung von Infektionen), der roten Blutzellen (Zellen, die den Sauerstoff transportieren) und die Thrombozyten (Blutplättchen für die Blutgerinnung) sowie andere Blutwerte einen normalen Wert haben.

Andere Nebenwirkungen, die bei der Kombinationsbehandlung mit PegIntron und Ribavirin oder bei der Behandlung mit PegIntron alleine auftreten können:

Sehr häufig berichtete Nebenwirkungen (mind. 1 von 10 Patienten): Reizung oder Rötung an der Injektionsstelle, grippeartige Symptome, Kopfschmerzen, Halsschmerzen, Husten, Schmerzen in den Gelenken, Ermüdung, Schwächegefühl, Schwindel, Gewichtsverlust, Übelkeit, Appetitverlust, Durchfall, Erbrechen, Reizbarkeit, Einschlaf- oder Durchschlafstörungen, Gefühl von Angst oder Nervosität, Konzentrationsschwäche, Gefühlsschwankungen, Haarausfall, Juckreiz, Hauttrockenheit, Hautausschlag, Mundtrockenheit, Virusinfektionen, verminderte Anzahl roter Blutzellen oder bestimmter weisser Blutzellen (sogenannte Neutrophile, wichtig für die Bekämpfung von Infektionen).

Häufig berichtete Nebenwirkungen (mind. 1 von 100 Patienten, jedoch weniger als 1 von 10 Patienten): Schmerzen an der Injektionsstelle, vermehrtes Schwitzen, plötzliches Erröten, niedriger oder hoher Blutdruck, Herzklopfen, zittrige Hände, gesteigertes oder vermindertes Tastgefühl, Migräne, Über- oder Unterfunktion der Schilddrüse, Ohrenklingeln, Mittelohrentzündung, Augenschmerzen oder -infektionen, trockenes oder tränendes Auge, Geschmacksveränderungen, Zahnfleischbluten, Entzündungen der Zunge oder Mundschleimhaut, Durst, Verstopfung, Blähungen, dünner Stuhl, Nasennebenhöhlenentzündung, verstopfte oder laufende Nase, Fieberblasen, Pilzinfektionen, abnormale Haarstruktur, Sonnenlichtempfindlichkeit der Haut, Hautrötung oder Hautveränderungen, Menstruationsstörungen, mangelndes Interesse am Sex oder sexuelles Unvermögen, Entzündung der Prostatadrüse, Abnahme der Zahl der Blutblättchen oder bestimmter weisser Blutzellen (sogenannte Lymphozyten, wichtig für die Bekämpfung von Infektionen).

Selten berichtete Nebenwirkungen (mind. 1 von 10?000 Patienten, jedoch weniger als 1 von 1000 Patienten): Zuckerkrankheit, Entzündung der Bauchspeicheldrüse, Entzündung und Abbau von Muskelgewebe und peripheren Nerven, Nierenprobleme.

Sehr selten berichtete Nebenwirkungen (weniger als 1 von 10?000 Patienten): Aplastische Anämie (Blutarmut infolge Verminderung des blutbildenden Knochenmarks), Erythroblastopenie (Erkrankung, bei der der Körper gar keine oder vermindert rote Blutkörperchen produziert, was sich unter anderem durch ungewöhnliche Müdigkeit äussert), Sarkoidose (Erkrankung, die durch anhaltendes Fieber, Gewichtsverlust, Schmerzen und Anschwellen der Gelenke, Hautläsionen und geschwollene Drüsen charakterisiert ist), Bewusstlosigkeit (hauptsächlich bei mit hohen Dosen behandelten, älteren Patienten), Schlaganfall (zerebrovaskulärer Vorfall), Netzhautablösung.

Zusätzlich wurde über folgende Nebenwirkungen berichtet: Erhöhte Harnsäure im Blut (wie bei Gicht), erhöhte Blutfettwerte, Gesichtslähmung (Schwäche oder Herabhängen einer Seite des Gesichts), schwere allergische Reaktionen wie toxisch epidermale Nekrolyse, Stevens-Johnson-Syndrom und Erythema multiforme (ein Spektrum an Hautausschlägen mit variierendem Schweregrad einschliesslich Tod, der mit Bläschen im Mund, in der Nase, in den Augen und auf anderen Schleimhäuten sowie mit der Ablösung der betroffenen Hautareale verbunden sein kann), akute Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen einschliesslich Nesselsucht, Angioödemen (Anschwellen der Hände, Füsse, Knöchel, Gesicht, Lippen, Mund oder Rachen),  Verengung der Atemwege, und  schwere allergische Reaktionen des ganzen Körpers (Anaphylaxie), entzündliche rheumatische Erkrankungen (rheumatoide Arthritis, systemischer Lupus erythematodes und Vaskulitis), Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Syndrom (eine autoimmun-entzündliche Krankheit, die die Augen, die Haut und die Ohrmembranen sowie die Hirn- und Rückenmarkshäute angreift, Lungenfibrose (Erkrankung des Lungengewebes).

Wird PegIntron alleine angewendet, sind einige dieser Nebenwirkungen weniger wahrscheinlich oder einige sind gar nicht aufgetreten.

Zusätzlich können bei HCV/HIV co-infizierten Patienten, die HAART-Schemata erhalten, bei der Kombinationsbehandlung mit PegIntron und Ribavirin die folgenden, oben noch nicht aufgeführten Nebenwirkungen auftreten: Mundsoor, gestörter Fettstoffwechsel, Rückenschmerzen, Gliederschmerzen, Hepatitis, verminderte CD4-Lymphozytenzahl, und diverse weitere Veränderungen von Blut-Laborwerten.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die nicht in dieser Packungsbeilage aufgeführt sind.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel soll vor Kindern geschützt, bei 2-8 °C (Kühlschrank) aufbewahrt werden.

Verwenden Sie die zubereitete Lösung bzw. den gebrauchsfertig zubereiteten CLEARCLICK Pen sofort oder innerhalb von 24 Stunden, falls diese bei 2-8 °C (im Kühlschrank) aufbewahrt wurden.

Verwenden Sie PegIntron nicht, wenn Sie farbliche Veränderungen des Pulvers oder eine Trübung der zubereiteten Lösung bemerken. Nachdem sie die verschriebene Dosis injiziert haben, verwerfen Sie den vorgefüllten CLEARCLICK Pen und eventuell darin enthaltene nicht benutzte Lösung.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin, diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.

+-Was ist in PegIntron enthalten?

PegIntron enthält den Wirkstoff Peginterferon alfa-2b (ein Konjugat des rekombinanten Interferon alfa-2b mit Monomethoxy-Polyethylenglykol).

Nach dem Auflösen enthält die Durchstechflasche 50 Mikrogramm Peginterferon alfa-2b pro 0,5 ml.

Der CLEARCLICK PegIntron Pen enthält nach dem Auflösen 50, 80, 100, 120 bzw. 150 Mikrogramm Peginterferon alfa-2b pro 0,5 ml.

Sonstige Bestandteile

Pulver: Dinatriumhydrogenphosphat-Anhydrat, Natriumdihydrogen-phosphat-Dihydrat, Saccharose und Polysorbat 80.

Lösungsmittel: sterilisiertes Wasser für Injektionszwecke.

Handhabung des vorgefüllten CLEARCLICK PegIntron Pens

Die folgenden Hinweise erklären Ihnen, wie der vorgefüllte CLEARCLICK Injektor zur Selbstinjektion anzuwenden ist. Bitte lesen Sie die Hinweise sorgfältig und befolgen Sie diese Schritt für Schritt. Ihr Arzt/ihre Ärztin oder sein(e)/ihr(e) Assistent/in werden Ihnen zeigen, wie die Injektionen durchzuführen sind.

Vorbereitungen

  • Suchen Sie sich eine gut beleuchtete, saubere, ebene Arbeitsfläche (z.B. einen Tisch).
  • Nehmen Sie den vorgefüllten Pen aus dem Kühlschrank. Prüfen Sie das auf dem Karton aufgedruckte Verfallsdatum. Benutzen Sie den Pen nicht, wenn das Verfallsdatum bereits überschritten wurde.
  • Entnehmen Sie den vorgefüllten Pen aus dem Karton.
  • Legen Sie den vorgefüllten Pen auf eine ebene, saubere Oberfläche und warten Sie einige Minuten, bis dieser Raumtemperatur angenommen hat.
  • Waschen Sie Ihre Hände gründlich mit Seife und warmem Wasser. Halten Sie Ihre Arbeitsfläche, Ihre Hände und die Injektionsstelle sauber, um so das Risiko von Infektionen zu vermindern.

Sie werden das folgende, in der Packung enthaltene Material benötigen:

- einen vorgefüllten CLEARCLICK Pen

- eine Aufstecknadel

- 2 Alkoholtupfer

1. Mischen

  • Halten Sie den vorgefüllten Pen aufrecht mit dem Dosierknopf nach unten.
  • Drehen Sie den Dosierknopf auf Nummer 1 (siehe Abbildung 1). Sie hören ein Klick-Geräusch.

  • DEN INJEKTOR Zum mischen NICHT SCHÜTTELN. Schwenken Sie den vorgefüllten Pen zweimal langsam von oben nach unten (siehe Abbildung 2).

  • Schauen Sie durch das Pen-Fenster. Die Lösung sollte vor der Benutzung klar und farblos sein. Verwenden Sie den Pen nicht, falls die Lösung verfärbt ist oder Partikel enthält.

2. Nadel aufstecken

  • Drehen Sie den Dosierknopf auf Nummer 2 (siehe Abbildung 3). Eventuell ist ein Klick-Geräusch zu hören.

  • Reinigen Sie den vorgefüllten Pen dort, wo die Nadel aufgesteckt wird, mit einem Alkoholtupfer (siehe Abbildung 4).

  • Entfernen Sie das gelbe Papier von der Nadelkappe, bevor Sie die Nadel auf den vorgefüllten Pen stecken (siehe Abbildung 5).

  • Halten Sie den vorgefüllten Pen in aufrechter Position und drücken Sie die Nadel fest senkrecht nach unten (siehe Abbildung 6). Eventuell ist ein saugendes Geräusch zu hören.

  • Entfernen Sie die Nadelkappe. Eventuell tritt etwas Flüssigkeit aus der Nadel aus (siehe Abbildung 7). Das ist normal.

3. Dosierung einstellen

Drehen Sie den Dosierknopf auf die Ihnen verschriebene Dosis. (siehe Abbildung 8). Eventuell hören Sie klickende Geräusche, während Sie drehen. Beachten Sie: Der Nadelschutz wird automatisch nach oben schnellen, während Sie die Dosis einstellen (siehe Abbildung 9). Sie können den Dosierknopf vor der Injektion in beide Richtungen (zu höheren oder niedrigeren Dosierungen) vor- und zurückdrehen.

Sie sind bereit zur Injektion

  • Wählen sie eine Injektionsstelle an Ihrem Bauch oder Ihrem Oberschenkel. Bauchnabel oder Taille sind ungeeignet. Falls Sie sehr schlank sind, sollten Sie nur in den Oberschenkel injizieren. Wechseln Sie die Injektionsstelle bei jeder Selbstinjektion. Injizieren Sie PegIntron nicht in einen Hautbereich der gereizt, gerötet, verletzt oder infiziert ist, oder Narben, Dehnungsstreifen oder Blasen aufweist.
  • Reinigen Sie die Injektionsstelle mit einem Alkoholtupfer. Lassen Sie die Haut an der Luft trocknen.
  • Bilden Sie eine Hautfalte in dem Bereich, den Sie für die Injektion gereinigt haben.
  • Pressen Sie den vorgefüllten Pen gegen die Haut wie in Abbildung 10 gezeigt. Der Nadelschutz wird zurückgleiten, damit das Arzneimittel über die Nadel injiziert werden kann.
  • Halten Sie den vorgefüllten Pen für 15 Sekunden gegen die Haut gepresst. Beachten Sie: 15 Sekunden sind die Höchstdauer jeder möglichen Dosis. Der Injektor wird bis zu 10 Sekunden lang klicken ? abhängig von Ihrer Dosis.
  • Die 5 zusätzlichen Sekunden stellen eine vollständige Dosisabgabe sicher.
  • Beachten Sie: Sobald der vorgefüllte Pen von der Haut entfernt wird, wird der Nadelschutz verriegelt.

Entsorgung des Injektionsmaterials

Der vorgefüllte Pen, die Nadel und das übrige Injektionsmaterial sind für den einmaligen Gebrauch bestimmt und müssen nach der Injektion verworfen werden. Entsorgen Sie den Pen sicher in einem geschlossenen Behälter. Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt/Ihre Ärztin, das Krankenhauspersonal oder Ihren Apotheker/Ihre Apothekerin nach einem geeigneten Behälter.
