Oxycodon Sandoz ist ein Schmerzmittel zur Behandlung mittelstarker bis starker andauernder Schmerzen. Es enthält den Wirkstoff Oxycodon. Der Wirkstoff wird nach der Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz im Magen-Darm-Trakt langsam herausgelöst und in die Blutbahn aufgenommen. Die schmerzhemmende Wirkung hält deshalb über etwa 12 Stunden an.
Oxycodon Sandoz darf nur auf Verschreibung und unter regelmässiger Kontrolle des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin verwendet werden.
Wenn Sie älter oder körperlich schwach sind, können bei Ihnen möglicherweise eher Nebenwirkungen auftreten. Seien Sie daher besonders vorsichtig.
Wenn Sie kürzlich keine anderen starken morphinähnlichen Schmerzmittel eingenommen haben, ist Oxycodon Sandoz 80 mg nicht für den Beginn Ihrer Therapie geeignet, da diese Wirkstärke in diesem Fall bei Ihnen eine lebensbedrohliche Atemlähmung (Atemdepression) auslösen kann.
Bei längerfristiger Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz kann es zu einer Gewöhnung kommen. Das bedeutet, dass Sie möglicherweise für die erwünschte schmerzlindernde Wirkung eine höhere Dosis benötigen.
Die längerfristige Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz kann ausserdem zu körperlicher Abhängigkeit führen. Bei abrupter Beendigung der Therapie können Entzugssymptome wie Unruhe, Schweissausbrüche und Muskelschmerzen auftreten. Wenn Sie die Therapie nicht mehr benötigen, sollten Sie die Tagesdosis nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt schrittweise reduzieren.
Der Wirkstoff Oxycodon hat ein Missbrauchspotential ähnlich wie alle anderen starken morphinähnlichen Schmerzmittel. Die Entwicklung einer psychischen Abhängigkeit ist möglich. Bei bestehendem oder früherem Alkohol-, Drogen- oder Arzneimittelmissbrauch sollte die Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz vermieden werden.
Falls Sie operiert werden müssen, teilen Sie bitte Ihren Ärzten mit, dass Sie Oxycodon Sandoz einnehmen.
Bestimmte Arzneimittel können die Wirkungsweise von Oxycodon Sandoz beeinflussen oder die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Auftretens von Nebenwirkungen (insbesondere Beeinträchtigung der Atemfunktion, tiefer Blutdruck, Schläfrigkeit und/oder Beeinträchtigung der Aufmerksamkeit) erhöhen:
Wenn Sie Oxycodon Sandoz gemeinsam mit bestimmten Arzneimitteln einnehmen, welche die Gerinnungsfähigkeit des Blutes herabsetzen (Cumarin-Derivate), kann die Blutgerinnung beschleunigt oder verlangsamt werden.
Trinken Sie während der Behandlung mit Oxycodon Sandoz keinen Alkohol und vermeiden Sie Grapefruits und Grapefruitsaft.
Die Retardtabletten müssen ganz geschluckt werden und dürfen nicht zerteilt, zerkaut oder zerkleinert werden. Zerteilte, zerkaute oder zerkleinerte Tabletten führen zu einer schnelleren Wirkstofffreisetzung und zur Aufnahme einer möglicherweise tödlichen Dosis von Oxycodon.
Oxycodon Sandoz Retardtabletten dürfen in keinem Fall in missbräuchlicher Absicht aufgelöst und injiziert (z.B. in ein Blutgefäss eingespritzt) werden, da dies schwerwiegende gesundheitsschädliche Folgen haben kann, die möglicherweise auch zum Tod führen können.
Die Retardtablette löst sich im Darm nach Abgabe der gesamten Wirkstoffmenge nicht vollständig auf, deswegen kann die Tablettenhülle manchmal im Stuhl erscheinen. Dies bedeutet keine Beeinträchtigung der Wirksamkeit des Präparats.
Dieses Arzneimittel enthält Lactose. Bitte nehmen Sie Oxycodon Sandoz daher erst nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin ein, wenn Ihnen bekannt ist, dass Sie unter einer Unverträglichkeit gegenüber bestimmten Zuckern leiden. Personen mit der seltenen hereditären Galactose-Intoleranz, Lactase-Mängeln oder Glucose-Galactose-Malabsorption sollten Oxycodon Sandoz nicht einnehmen.
Die Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz kann bei Dopingkontrollen zu positiven Ergebnissen führen.
Oxycodon Sandoz kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge und Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen. Besprechen Sie deshalb mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, ob Sie Auto fahren, Maschinen bedienen oder gefährliche Arbeiten ausführen dürfen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Schwangerschaft: Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin. Er/sie wird über die Anwendung von Oxycodon Sandoz entscheiden. Eine längerfristige Anwendung von Oxycodon Sandoz während der Schwangerschaft kann zu Entzugserscheinungen beim Neugeborenen führen. Wenn Oxycodon Sandoz während der Geburt angewendet wird, kann es beim neugeborenen Kind zu einer Verlangsamung der Atmung (Atemdepression) kommen.
Stillzeit: Wenn Sie stillen, darf Oxycodon Sandoz nicht eingenommen werden.
Nehmen Sie Oxycodon Sandoz immer genau nach Anweisung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin ein. Bitte fragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt/Ihrer Ärztin bzw. Ihrem Apotheker/Ihrer Apothekerin nach, wenn Sie nicht ganz sicher sind.
Oxycodon Sandoz Retardtabletten sind mit ausreichend Flüssigkeit (½ Glas Wasser) zu oder zwischen den Mahlzeiten morgens und abends nach einem festen Zeitschema (z.B. morgens um 8 Uhr, abends um 20 Uhr) einzunehmen. Sie dürfen die Retardtablette nicht zerteilen, zerkauen oder zerkleinern.
Die übliche Anfangsdosis beträgt eine Oxycodon Sandoz Retardtablette zu 10 mg alle 12 Stunden. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird die Dosierung an die Schmerzintensität und Ihre individuelle Empfindlichkeit anpassen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, falls zwischen den Einnahmen von Oxycodon Sandoz Schmerzen auftreten. Er/sie kann Ihnen ein schnell freisetzendes Schmerzmittel zur Therapie dieser Durchbruchschmerzen verschreiben.
Wenn Sie mehr Oxycodon Sandoz als verschrieben eingenommen haben, sollten Sie sofort Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren.
Sollten Sie einmal eine Einnahme vergessen haben, so können Sie diese nachholen, wenn die nächste reguläre Einnahme in mehr als 8 Stunden vorgesehen ist. Anschliessend können Sie Ihren üblichen Einnahmeplan beibehalten. Wenn die nächste reguläre Einnahme in weniger als 8 Stunden vorgesehen ist, nehmen Sie Oxycodon Sandoz ebenfalls, schieben die nächste Einnahme jedoch um 8 Stunden hinaus. Keinesfalls dürfen Sie die doppelte Einzeldosis einnehmen.
Setzen Sie Oxycodon Sandoz nicht ohne Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt/Ihrer Ärztin ab. Falls die Therapie nicht länger angezeigt ist, kann es ratsam sein, die Tagesdosis schrittweise zu reduzieren, um das Auftreten von Entzugssymptomen zu vermeiden.
Die Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit von Oxycodon Sandoz bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren sind bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Die Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz kann sehr häufig zu Verstopfung führen. Mit einer ballaststoffreichen Ernährung und einer genügenden Trinkmenge kann dem entgegengewirkt werden. Vielfach ist es aber notwendig, dass der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin zusätzlich ein Abführmittel verschreibt.
Insbesondere zu Beginn der Therapie können sehr häufig Übelkeit und Erbrechen auftreten. Wenn Ihnen übel ist oder Sie erbrechen müssen, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt/Ihre Ärztin, der/die dagegen ein Arzneimittel verschreiben kann.
Folgende weitere Nebenwirkungen können ausserdem bei der Einnahme von Oxycodon Sandoz auftreten:
Sehr häufig: Schwindelgefühl, Kopfschmerzen, Schläfrigkeit, Juckreiz.
Häufig: Appetitlosigkeit, Angst, Verwirrtheit, Schlaflosigkeit, Nervosität, Denkstörungen, Depressionen, (Muskel-) Zittern, Trägheit, Beeinträchtigung der Atemfunktion, Atemnot, Bauchschmerzen, Durchfall, Mundtrockenheit, Verdauungsstörungen, Schwitzen, Hautausschlag, Schwäche, Müdigkeit.
Gelegentlich: Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen, Austrocknung, Stimmungsveränderung, Aufregung, euphorische Stimmung, Halluzinationen, Arzneimittelabhängigkeit, Gedächtnisstörung, Krampfanfälle (insbesondere bei Personen mit Epilepsie oder Neigung zu Krampfanfällen), erhöhte Muskelspannung, Muskelzuckungen, Taubheitsgefühl oder ähnliche Missempfindungen an der Haut, Sprachstörungen, Verengung der Pupillen, Sehstörung, Drehschwindel, Herzklopfen, Gefässerweiterung, Ohnmacht, Verlangsamung der Atmung (Atemdepression), Schluckstörungen, Schluckauf, Aufstossen, Blähungen, Darmverschluss, Geschmacksstörungen, Erhöhung der Leberwerte, trockene Haut, Harnverhalten, verringerter Geschlechtstrieb, Erektionsstörungen, Unterfunktion der Geschlechtsorgane, Schüttelfrost, Entzugssymptome, Wassereinlagerungen (Ödeme), Unwohlsein, Durst, Gewöhnung.
Selten: Blutdrucksenkung, juckender Ausschlag (Nesselsucht).
Ausserdem wurde über akute allergische Allgemeinreaktionen, übermässige Schmerzempfindlichkeit (Hyperalgesie), Pulsbeschleunigung, Zahnkaries, Gallenstauung und Ausbleiben der Regelblutung berichtet.
Bei vermuteter Überdosierung ist sofort der Arzt/die Ärztin zu benachrichtigen, der/die entsprechende Gegenmassnahmen einleiten wird. Zeichen einer Überdosierung sind verengte Pupillen, extreme Verlangsamung der Atmung, tiefer Blutdruck, narkoseartige Zustände.
Eine Atemlähmung ist die bedeutsamste Gefährdung einer Überdosierung.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel in der Originalverpackung, bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern lagern.
Bitte bringen Sie nach Beendigung der Behandlung das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt an Ihre Abgabestelle (Arztpraxis, Apotheke) zur fachgerechten Entsorgung zurück.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
