+-Was ist Olfen Lotion und wann wird es angewendet?

Olfen Lotion ist ein schmerzlinderndes und entzündungshemmendes Präparat zur äusserlichen Anwendung. Diese kühlende und nicht fettende Emulsion lässt sich leicht einreiben und gelangt durch die Haut an den Ort der Entzündung.

Olfen Lotion eignet sich

zur lokalen Behandlung von Schmerzen, Entzündungen und Schwellungen wie z.B. nach Verstauchungen, Prellungen und Zerrungen;
als unterstützende Massnahme zur lokalen Behandlung von rheumatischen Beschwerden des Bewegungsapparates.

+-Wann darf Olfen Lotion nicht angewendet werden?

Olfen Lotion darf nicht angewendet werden bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff Diclofenac oder anderen schmerz- und entzündungshemmenden Substanzen, insbesondere Acetylsalicylsäure/Aspirin, sowie bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Hilfsstoffe.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Olfen Lotion Vorsicht geboten?

Olfen Lotion darf nicht auf offene Hautwunden (z.B. Schürfungen, Schnittverletzungen) oder auf ekzematöse Haut gebracht werden.

Olfen Lotion soll nicht über längere Zeit grossflächig angewendet werden, es sei denn auf ärztliche Verschreibung.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Olfen Lotion nicht mit den Augen und Schleimhäuten in Berührung kommt.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie schon ähnliche Produkte (Rheumasalben) verwendet haben und diese zu allergischen Reaktionen führten, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!

+-Darf Olfen Lotion während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Olfen Lotion darf während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit nicht angewendet werden, ausser auf ausdrückliche ärztliche Verschreibung.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Olfen Lotion?

Erwachsene

Je nach Grösse der zu behandelnden schmerzhaften Stellen oder Flächen wird 3-4 mal täglich eine Menge von 2-4 g Olfen Lotion (haselnuss- bzw. walnussgrosse Menge) aufgetragen, leicht eingerieben oder bei Muskelschmerzen einmassiert.

Informieren Sie Ihre Arzt/Ihre Ärztin, wenn sich nach 2 Wochen die Beschwerden nicht gebessert oder sogar verschlimmert haben.

Kinder

Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Olfen Lotion bei Kindern ist bisher nicht systematisch geprüft worden.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Olfen Lotion haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Olfen Lotion auftreten:

Bei empfindlichen Patienten können gelegentlich Juckreiz, Rötungen, Schwellungen oder Bläschenbildung an der behandelten Stelle auftreten. Sehr selten sind starker Hautausschlag, allergische Reaktionen wie keuchende Atmung, Kurzatmigkeit oder Schwellungen im Gesicht sowie verstärkte Empfindlichkeit gegenüber Sonnenlicht.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin sofort, wenn eine der folgenden Nebenwirkungen auftritt und wenden Sie Olfen Lotion nicht weiter an:

starker Hautausschlag
keuchende Atmung, Kurzatmigkeit oder Schwellung im Gesicht.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
