Nasobol Xylo ist ein Dosierspray (Microdoseur), das eine Abschwellung der Nasenschleimhaut bewirkt.
Der arzneilich wirksame Bestandteil, Xylometazolin, wirkt verengend auf die Gefässe der Nasenschleimhaut. Dadurch schwillt die Schleimhaut ab und das Atmen wird erleichtert.
Nasobol Xylo lindert die Beschwerden der geschwollenen Nasenschleimhaut («verstopfte Nase») bei Erkältungen, viraler oder allergischer Rhinitis und Sinusitis.
Nasobol Xylo darf nicht angewendet werden bei:
? Patientinnen und Patienten mit Engwinkelglaukom;
? Patientinnen und Patienten, die mit Monoaminoxidase-Hemmern (MAO-Hemmern) oder trizyklischen Antidepressiva behandelt werden;
? trockener Nasenschleimhaut.
Wie alle Vasokonstriktoren darf Xylometazolin nach einer transsphenoidalen Hypophysektomie bzw. nach bestimmten transnasalen oder transbuccalen chirurgischen Eingriffen nicht angewendet werden.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegen einen der Inhaltsstoffe darf das Medikament nicht angewendet werden.
Bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren darf Nasobol Xylo nicht angewendet werden.
Nasobol Xylo darf bei Patientinnen und Patienten mit Hyperthyreose, kardialen Erkrankungen, Hypertonie, Beschwerden der Prostata oder Diabetes nur unter besonderer Vorsicht angewendet werden.
Bei langfristiger Anwendung und Dauergebrauch (Behandlungsdauer länger als eine Woche) mit Nasobol Xylo kann es zu einer verstärkten Schwellung der Schleimhaut kommen («Rebound-Effekt»), die durch eine chronische Schwellung und Rötung der Nasenschleimhaut und chronischen Schnupfen gekennzeichnet ist.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker (oder Drogisten), bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin (oder Drogistin), wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Es wurden keine systematischen wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber und auf Grund der gefässverengenden Wirkung sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft auf den Gebrauch von Nasobol Xylo verzichten. Während der Stillzeit sollten Sie Nasobol Xylo nicht anwenden, da nicht bekannt ist, ob der Wirkstoff in die Muttermilch übergeht.
1 bis 2 Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch, 2 bis 3 mal pro Tag.
Höchstens 6 Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch pro Tag.
1 Sprühstoss in jedes Nasenloch, 1 bis 2 mal pro Tag.
Höchstens 2 Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch pro Tag.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker (oder Drogisten) bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin (oder Drogistin).
Bei Patientinnen und Patienten, die empfindlich reagieren oder ein erhöhtes Risiko haben (Kinder und ältere Menschen) können bei der Anwendung von Nasobol Xylo folgende Nebenwirkungen auftreten:
Systemische Nebenwirkungen: Übelkeit, Kopfschmerzen, Schlaflosigkeit, erhöhter Blutdruck, Herzklopfen, Beschwerden der Harnwege und allergische Reaktionen.
Lokale Nebenwirkungen: Trockenheit der Nasenschleimhaut, Gefühl von Brennen in Nase und Hals.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker (oder Drogisten) bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin (oder Drogistin) informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Bei Zimmertemperatur aufbewahren (15?25 °C).
Für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren.
