Nasacort Dosierspray wird zur Behandlung von allergischen Beschwerden im Nasenraum verwendet. Die Allergieform, die während der Pollensaison durch Blütenstaub oder andere Pollen hervorgerufen wird (Heuschnupfen), bezeichnet der Mediziner als saisonale allergische Rhinitis. Eine andere Allergie im Bereich der Nase, die das ganze Jahr über auftritt, bezeichnet der Mediziner als perenniale allergische Rhinitis bezeichnet.
Bei regelmässiger Anwendung vermindert Nasacort Reizungen und Entzündungen der Nasenschleimhaut, so dass allergische Symptome wie Juckreiz, Niesen, Nasenausfluss und insbesondere auch eine verstopfte Nase gelindert werden.
Nasacort darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Bei bekannter oder vermuteter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Inhaltsstoffe von Nasacort.
Wenn Sie an einer unbehandelten Infektion der Nasenhöhle (z.B. Herpes) oder Rachenraum, eine Atemwegs-, Pilz- oder Bakterieninfektion, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin. Er bzw. sie wird dann entscheiden, ob eine sorgfältige Überwachung oder eine Änderung der Behandlung notwendig ist.
Wenn bei Ihnen eine Sehveränderung bestand, ein erhöhter Augeninnendruck aufgetreten ist oder wenn Sie Immunsuppressiva einnehmen, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, der in diesem Fall eine engmaschigere Überwachung gewährleisten muss.
Nach Operationen in der Nasenhöhle oder längerem Nasenbluten ist Nasacort mit Vorsicht anzuwenden.
Bei übermässigem Gebrauch oder Langzeitanwendung bei Kindern kann die Möglichkeit einer Wachstumsverzögerung nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Der Arzt oder die Ärztin wird deshalb die Wachstumsentwicklung von Kindern, welche über längere Zeit mit Nasacort behandelt werden, sorgfältig beobachten. Nasacort darf nicht bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren angewendet werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, weitere Allergien haben (z.B. auf Medikamente) oder andere Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder an der Nase anwenden.
Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt, wenn das Medikament für den vorgesehenen Zweck angewendet wird. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt.
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder den Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat fragen.
Falls der Arzt es nicht anders verordnet, gelten folgende Dosierungsanweisungen:
Patienten ab 12 Jahren: 2 Sprühstösse pro Nasenloch, 1-mal täglich, vorzugsweise morgens.
Bei gutem Ansprechen kann Ihnen Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin auch nur 1 Sprühstoss pro Nasenloch täglich verschreiben.
Kinder zwischen 2 und 12 Jahren: 1 Sprühstoss pro Nasenloch, 1-mal täglich, vorzugsweise morgens.
Es ist normal, dass Nasacort Ihre Allergie nicht sofort beseitigt. Die volle Wirkung wird nach wenigen Tagen erreicht.
Um die beste Wirksamkeit zu erzielen, muss Nasacort regelmässig und entsprechend folgenden Anweisungen angewendet:
* Vor Gebrauch von Nasacort immer sorgfältig die Nase schneuzen und das Dosierspray schütteln.
1. Blaue Schutzkappe entfernen und blaue Sicherheitsklammer abziehen.
2. Vor dem allerersten Gebrauch muss die Pumpvorrichtung gefüllt werden. Dazu das Fläschchen senkrecht halten und mit dem Daumen 5-mal nach oben drücken, bis ein feiner Sprühnebel erscheint. Das Dosierspray ist nun gebrauchsfertig.
Bei Nichtgebrauch über 2 Wochen muss die Pumpvorrichtung wieder durch einmal Drücken gefüllt werden. Dabei die Öffnung von sich weghalten.
3. Ein Nasenloch mit dem Finger schliessen. Dosierspray senkrecht halten und den Nasenadapter soweit wie bequem möglich in das freie Nasenloch einführen. Mit geschlossenem Mund durch die Nase einatmen und dabei durch Drücken einen Sprühstoss auslösen.
4. Durch den Mund ausatmen.
5. Denselben Vorgang (Schritt 3 und 4) für das andere Nasenloch wiederholen.
6. Patienten ab 12 Jahren wiederholen für die empfohlene Dosierung von 2 Sprühstössen pro Nasenloch Schritt 3., 4. und 5 noch einmal ausführen.
7. Zum Sauberhalten des Nasenadapters diesen nach jedem Gebrauch mit einem Tuch abwischen. Blaue Sicherheitsklammer wieder anbringen, um unbeabsichtigte Sprühstösse zu vermeiden. Schutzkappe aufsetzen.
Falls das Spray blockiert, muss es folgendermassen gereinigt werden (gegebenenfalls wöchentlich):
Versuchen Sie nicht, die Öffnung mit einem scharfen oder spitzen Gegenstand zu vergrössern!
1. Schutzkappe und Nasenadapter abnehmen.
2. Adapter und Schutzkappe eine Minute in lauwarmem Wasser einweichen lassen, dann mit kaltem Wasser spülen.
3. Adapter und Schutzkappe trocknen lassen.
4. Den Adapter wieder aufsetzen.
5. Dann einmal auf das Fläschchen drücken, bis ein feiner Sprühnebel erscheint.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Bei der Anwendung von Nasacort können folgende Nebenwirkungen häufig auftreten:
Nasenbluten, Kopfschmerzen, Schnupfen, Entzündungen im Rachenbereich, Husten, Bronchitis, Verdauungsstörungen, Grippesyndrom und Zahnprobleme. Selten kann es zu Infektionen der Nase und des Rachenraums und sehr selten kann es zu einem Riss in der Nasenscheidewand kommen.
Während der Behandlung ebenfalls auftreten können: ausgetrocknete Nasenschleimhaut, verstopfte Nase, Niesreiz, veränderter Geschmacks- oder Geruchssinn, Übelkeit, Schlaflosigkeit, Schwindelgefühl, Müdigkeit, Kurzatmigkeit, niedriger Kortisolspiegel im Blut, grauer Star, grüner Star, erhöhter Augeninnendruck, Juckreiz, Hautausschlag und Überempfindlichkeit.
Bei Kindern zwischen 2 und 5 Jahren können zusätzlich häufig Rachenschmerzen, leichte Hautabschürfungen, Oberbauchschmerzen und Durchfall auftreten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Nach erstmaligem Öffnen ist Nasacort 8 Wochen haltbar. Nach 120 Sprühstössen ist Nasacort nicht mehr zu verwenden. Flüssigkeitsreste dürfen nicht in einen anderen Behälter umgefüllt werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
