Mycobutin ist ein Antibiotikum. Es ist ein Mittel für die Kombinationsbehandlung der Tuberkulose und für die Prophylaxe und Therapie anderer Mykobakterieninfektionen bei HIV?positiven Patienten.
Dieses Arzneimittel wurde Ihnen von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin zur Behandlung Ihrer gegenwärtigen Erkrankung verschrieben.
Das Antibiotikum in Mycobutin ist nicht gegen alle Mikroorganismen, welche Infektionskrankheiten verursachen, wirksam. Die Anwendung eines falsch gewählten oder nicht richtig dosierten Antibiotikums kann Komplikationen verursachen. Wenden Sie deshalb Mycobutin nie von sich aus für die Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen oder anderer Personen an.
Voraussetzung für einen Behandlungserfolg ist, dass die Dosierungsanweisungen des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin genau eingehalten werden und die Einnahme von Mycobutin nicht unterbrochen wird.
Mycobutin darf nicht eingenommen werden bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) auf einen Inhaltsstoff von Mycobutin oder auf Rifamycin. Die gleichzeitige Einnahme von Mycobutin und Ritonavir erhöht die Gefahr des Auftretens von Nebenwirkungen um ein Vielfaches. Daher darf Mycobutin nicht eingenommen werden, wenn Sie mit Ritonavir behandelt werden.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fähigkeit Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen und die Fahrtüchtigkeit beeinträchtigen!
Falls Sie an einer Nierenerkrankung und/oder Lebererkrankung leiden, oder Herzfunktionsstörungen haben, müssen Sie den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin informieren, damit er bzw. sie die Dosierung von Mycobutin entsprechend anpassen kann.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ärztin, welche anderen Arzneimittel Sie anwenden.
Dies ist wichtig, weil Mycobutin und gewisse Arzneimittel sich gegenseitig in der Wirkung beeinflussen können oder Mycobutin in Kombination mit gewissen anderen Arzneimitteln vermehrt zu unerwünschten Wirkungen führen kann.
Mycobutin kann die Wirksamkeit von folgenden Arzneimitteln beeinträchtigen: Arzneimittel gegen Pilzinfektionen wie sie bei HIV?infizierten Personen eingesetzt werden, Schmerzmittel, Blutgerinnungshemmer, Kortikosteroide, gewisse Arzneimittel zur Behandlung von Autoimmunerkrankungen und Verhinderung von Abstossungsreaktionen nach Transplantationen, gewisse Herzmittel, orale Antidiabetika, gewisse Antiepileptika, gewisse Arzneimittel zur Behandlung von HIV?Infektionen, gewisse Antibiotika.
Auch die Pille zur Schwangerschaftsverhütung fällt in diese Kategorie. Um während der Behandlung die Schwangerschaft sicher zu verhüten, müssen zusätzlich nicht?hormonelle Verhütungsmittel angewendet werden.
Mycobutin kann in Kombination mit Clarithromycin vermehrt zu unerwünschten Wirkungen führen.
Bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme mit Saquinavir (Invirase) besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko für Uveitis (Entzündung der Augenhaut). Bei Entzündung der Augen ist der Arzt darüber zu informieren.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
Mycobutin sollte während der Schwangerschaft nicht angewendet werden.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder stillen, darf Mycobutin nur mit ausdrücklicher Genehmigung des Arztes oder Apothekers bzw. der Ärztin oder Apothekerin eingenommen werden.
Unter der Behandlung mit Mycobutin sollten Sie nicht stillen.
Eine begonnene Antibiotika?Therapie sollte so lange wie vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin verordnet durchgeführt werden. Die Krankheitssymptome verschwinden oft, bevor die Infektion vollständig ausgeheilt ist. Eine ungenügende Anwendungsdauer oder ein zu frühes Beenden der Behandlung kann ein erneutes Aufflammen der Erkrankung zur Folge haben.
Halten Sie sich an die vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin festgelegte Dosierung. Das Präparat kann einmal täglich eingenommen werden. Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin bestimmt die Tageszeit. Nahrung hat keinen Einfluss auf die Wirkung.
Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin legt die Dosierung fest. In der Regel gelten folgende Dosierungsempfehlungen:
Bei neu diagnostizierten Fällen von Lungentuberkulose:
1 Kapsel täglich bis zu 6 Monaten.
Bei der Prophylaxe nicht tuberkulöser Infektionen mit Mykobakterien bei HIV?positiven Patienten bzw. Patientinnen:
2 Kapseln täglich in einer Einnahme.
Bei der Therapie nicht tuberkulöser Infektionen mit Mycobakterien bei HIV?positiven Patienten bzw. Patientinnen:
4 Kapseln täglich in einer Einnahme.
Da keine Daten vorhanden sind, soll Mycobutin bei Kindern nicht angewendet werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Mycobutin auftreten:
Am häufigsten sind Magendarmstörungen wie Übelkeit und Erbrechen aufgetreten.
Bei Auftreten von Durchfall dürfen keine Arzneimittel, welche die Darmperistaltik (Darmbewegung) hemmen, eingenommen werden.
Häufig sind weiter aufgetreten Fieber, Kopfschmerzen, Schlaflosigkeit, Bauchschmerzen, Durchfall, Magenbrennen, Aufstossen, Blähungen, schlechter Geschmack, Muskelschmerzen, Hautausschlag und Urinverfärbungen.
Gelegentlich kam es zu Hautverfärbungen, grippeähnlichen Symptomen, Gelenkschmerzen Überempfindlichkeit, Engegefühl in der Brust mit Atemnot, Störungen des Blutbildes und Gelbsucht. Frühe Warnzeichen einer Leberentzündung sind Müdigkeit, Schwächegefühl, Unwohlsein, Appetitlosigkeit, Übelkeit oder Erbrechen. Weitere Zeichen sind Gelbfärbung der Augen (Bindehaut) oder der Haut oder entfärbter Stuhl. Suchen Sie beim Auftreten solcher Symptome umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin auf.
Bei Kombination mit Clarithromycin und/oder Fluconazole kann es gelegentlich zu Entzündungen der Augen und in einzelnen Fällen zu Ablagerungen auf der Hornhaut kommen. Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird deshalb regelmässig Ihre Augen kontrollieren.
Selten kann es zu schweren Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen kommen. Konsultieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin beim Auftreten von Schwellungen der Haut (z.B. Nesselfieber) und Schleimhäuten, grossflächigem Hautausschlag, Hautrötungen, Atemproblemen oder Kreislaufbeschwerden.
Es sind Fälle von allergischen Schockreaktionen aufgetreten.
Falls eine der obengenannten Nebenwirkungen auftritt, bei der Sie einen Zusammenhang mit der Anwendung von Mycobutin vermuten, sollten Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin konsultieren.
Bei schweren, anhaltenden Durchfällen mit Bauchkrämpfen und Fieber ist das Arzneimittel abzusetzen und der behandelnde Arzt bzw. die behandelnde Ärztin unverzüglich zu benachrichtigen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Mycobutin hat eine intensive rotbraune Farbe. Urin, Tränen, Haut und Schweiss können sich rötlich verfärben, auch weiche Kontaktlinsen können rötlich verfärbt bleiben.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
In der Originalpackung, nicht über 25 °C und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
Eine Kapsel enthält 150 mg Rifabutin (DCI) als Wirkstoff.
Hilfsstoffe: Mikrokristalline Cellulose, Natriumlaurylsulfat, Magnesiumstearat, Hochdisperses Siliciumdioxid, Gelatine sowie die beiden Farbstoffe Titandioxid (E171) und Eisenoxid (E172).
