Mometasonfuroat Sandoz ist ein Dosier-Nasenspray. Es enthält ein stark wirksames Kortikoid, das lokal in der Nase entzündungshemmend und antiallergisch wirkt.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz wird zur Behandlung von saisonalem allergischem Schnupfen (Heuschnupfen) und bei chronischem (ganzjährigem) allergischem Schnupfen bei Erwachsenen, Jugendlichen und Kindern ab 6 Jahren eingesetzt. Bei Erwachsenen ab 18 Jahren wird es auch bei nasalen Polypen eingesetzt.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz kann zur Behandlung der Symptome von akutem entzündlichem Schnupfen ohne Zeichen einer schweren bakteriellen Infektion bei Erwachsenen und Jugendlichen ab 12 Jahren angewendet werden.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes/der Ärztin hin angewendet werden.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz ist nur zur Anwendung auf der Nasenschleimhaut bestimmt. Vor Gebrauch gut schütteln!
Die volle Wirkung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz tritt frühestens nach etwa einem Tag ein, daher ist Mometasonfuroat Sandoz nicht zur sofortigen Behebung eines akuten allergischen Schnupfens geeignet.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem seiner Bestandteile.
Bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren ist Mometasonfuroat Sandoz nicht geprüft und darf nicht angewendet werden.
Sie sollten Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin insbesondere informieren, wenn Sie an einer der folgenden Erkrankungen litten oder leiden: Verletzungen oder wunde Stellen in der Nase, chirurgischer Eingriff an der Nase, Tuberkulose, Infektionen durch Pilze, Bakterien oder Viren, Herpes-simplex-Infektion am Auge. Es kann dann eine zusätzliche Begleittherapie oder eine verminderte Dosierung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz nötig sein. Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin wird dies entscheiden.
Bei übermässigem Gebrauch oder Langzeitanwendung bei Kindern kann die Möglichkeit einer Wachstumsverzögerung nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Der Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin wird deshalb die Wachstumsentwicklung von Kindern, welche über längere Zeit mit Mometasonfuroat Sandoz behandelt werden, sorgfältig beobachten.
Während Sie Mometasonfuroat Sandoz verwenden, sollten Sie es vermeiden mit jemandem in Kontakt zu kommen, der Masern oder Windpocken hat.
Sollte dies doch geschehen sein, informieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt.
Bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz und der Einnahme von gewissen Arzneimitteln kann es zu Wechselwirkungen kommen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, sollten Sie Mometasonfuroat Sandoz nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin anwenden, ebenso, wenn Sie Ihr Kind stillen.
Bitte lesen Sie vor der ersten Anwendung die nachfolgende Gebrauchsanweisung genau. Der beste Erfolg wird durch eine regelmässige und korrekte Anwendung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz erzielt. Mometasonfuroat Sandoz ist nur zur Anwendung auf der Nasenschleimhaut geeignet und wird vorzugsweise am Morgen verabreicht.
Die volle Wirkung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz tritt frühestens nach etwa einem Tag ein, daher ist Mometasonfuroat Sandoz nicht zur sofortigen Behebung eines akuten allergischen Schnupfens geeignet.
Falls nicht anders verordnet, geben Erwachsene, Jugendliche und Kinder über 12 Jahre 1mal täglich 2 Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch.
Als Erhaltungsdosis in leichteren Fällen kann auch 1mal täglich 1 Sprühstoss je Nasenloch ausreichend sein.
Kinder zwischen 6 und 11 Jahren geben 1mal täglich 1 Sprühstoss in jedes Nasenloch. Die Dosis darf nicht erhöht werden.
Die übliche Dosierung für Erwachsene ab 18 Jahren beträgt 2mal täglich je zwei Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch. Falls die Symptome nach 5?6 Wochen unter Kontrolle sind, kann die Dosis nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt/der Ärztin reduziert werden. Sollte nach 5?6 Wochen mit der üblichen Dosierung keine Verbesserung der Symptome erzielt werden, sollte eine Änderung der Behandlung in Betracht gezogen werden.
Die empfohlene Dosierung für Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 12 Jahre beträgt 2× täglich je zwei Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch. Mometasonfuroat Sandoz soll nicht länger als 14 Tage angewendet werden.
Falls sich die Symptome während der Behandlung verschlechtern, konsultieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Sollten Sie Mometasonfuroat Sandoz einmal vergessen haben, gleichen Sie dies nicht damit aus, dass Sie beim nächsten Mal die doppelte Dosis auf einmal nehmen, sondern holen Sie die vergessene Dosis so bald als möglich nach (z.B. mittags oder abends) und kehren dann zum normalen Dosierungsschema zurück.
Reinigung: Eine regelmässige Reinigung des Nasenansatzstückes ist für die Funktionsfähigkeit des Nasensprays unerlässlich: Die Schutzkappe entfernen und das Nasenansatzstück vorsichtig nach oben ziehen und abnehmen. Schutzkappe und Nasenansatzstück in warmem Wasser waschen und unter fliessendem Wasser abspülen, trocknen lassen und wieder aufsetzen. Sollte das Nasenansatzstück verstopft sein, in warmem Wasser für einige Minuten einweichen. Keine Stecknadel oder andere spitze Gegenstände zu Hilfe nehmen! Dies würde die Sprühvorrichtung beschädigen und die korrekte Dosierung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz wäre nicht mehr gewährleistet. Anschliessend Nasenansatzstück unter fliessendem Wasser abspülen, an einem warmen Ort trocknen lassen und wieder aufsetzen.
Danach muss die Pumpvorrichtung wieder entlüftet bzw. gefüllt werden (2mal betätigen).
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Mometasonfuroat Sandoz auftreten: Häufig Kopfschmerzen, leichtes Nasenbluten (häufiger bei älteren Patienten), vorübergehendes Brennen oder eine leichte Reizung der Nasen- oder Rachenschleimhaut sowie Geschwürsbildung der Nasenschleimhaut. In sehr seltenen Fällen wurde über Geschmack- und Geruchsstörungen berichtet.
Nach der Anwendung dieses Arzneimittels kann es selten zu Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (allergischen Reaktionen) kommen. Diese Reaktionen sind in sehr seltenen Fällen schwerwiegend. Wenn Sie Atemnot oder Atembeschwerden verspüren, wenden Sie sich bitte sofort an einen Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Wie jedes andere Arzneimittel muss Mometasonfuroat Sandoz ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz wird bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahrt. Nicht einfrieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Bitte bringen Sie Mometasonfuroat Sandoz, dessen Verfalldatum abgelaufen ist, der Apotheke zur Entsorgung zurück.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
Innerhalb von 2 Monaten nach Erstanwendung gebrauchen.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz ist eine wässrige Suspension und enthält als Wirkstoff Mometason-17-furoat und als Hilfsstoff das Konservierungsmittel Benzalkoniumchlorid, sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.
Mometasonfuroat Sandoz ist ein treibgasfreies Dosierspray; pro Sprühstoss sind 0,05 mg Wirkstoff enthalten.
