Dentohexin wirkt gegen Bakterien und Pilze, die im Mund- und Rachenraum Entzündungen verursachen können.
Dentohexin dient zur Behandlung von entzündlichen und infektiösen Erkrankungen im Mund- und Rachenraum; wie zum Beispiel bei Zahnfleischentzündungen, Zahnfleischbluten, Zahnbetterkrankungen, Aphthen und Prothesendruckstellen. Dentohexin wird vor und nach zahnärztlichen Eingriffen verwendet.
Daneben kann Dentohexin zur Unterstützung bei eingeschränkter Mundhygiene, zur Unterstützung der Kariesprophylaxe, bei Mundgeruch und Zahnbelag verwendet werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Inhaltsstoffe. Bei Geschwüren oder offenen Stellen mit Schleimhautablösungen im Mund.
Bei regelmässigem Gebrauch kann eine behebbare Verfärbung der Zähne und Zunge auftreten. Dentohexin nicht in Auge oder Gehörgang bringen. Längere Anwendung von Dentohexin sollte nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder Zahnarzt bzw. mit der Ärztin oder Zahnärztin erfolgen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an andern Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
In der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit sollten Sie Dentohexin nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.
Die Dentohexin-Lösung wird mit gleichen Teilen Wasser verdünnt.
Morgens und abends nach den Mahlzeiten, vorzugsweise 15 Min. nach dem Zähneputzen (Mund zwischen Zähneputzen und der Anwendung von Dentohexin gründlich mit Wasser spülen), mit je 5 ml Dentohexin-Lösung und 5 ml Wasser (s. Einteilung auf dem beiliegenden Messbecher) ca. 20 Sekunden lang spülen und gurgeln. Lösung ausspucken, nicht schlucken oder nachspülen.
Bei Prothesen-Entzündungen die Prothese reinigen und anschliessend während 5 Minuten in unverdünnte Dentohexin-Lösung einlegen. Mund zusätzlich wie oben beschrieben spülen.
Bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist die Behandlung zahnärztlich oder ärztlich in halbjährlichem Abstand zu überprüfen.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt/Zahnarzt bzw. von der Ärztin/Zahnärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt/Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin/Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Dentohexin auftreten:
Gelegentlich treten Störungen der Geschmacksempfindung oder Taubheitsgefühl der Zunge auf. Selten treten allergische Reaktionen auf.
Eine gelbliche, manchmal auch dunklere Verfärbung der Zähne und Füllungen wurde bei langfristiger Anwendung häufig beobachtet. Durch gründliches Zähneputzen mit einer reinigenden Zahnpasta vor der Anwendung mit Dentohexin, Lösung kann diese Verfärbung weitgehend verhindert werden. In Ausnahmefällen müssen die Zähne von einem Fachmann gereinigt werden.
Falls sich das Zahnfleisch nach der Behandlung rötet und schmerzt, muss Dentohexin, Lösung abgesetzt werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
