ASS Cardio Actavis enthält den Wirkstoff Acetylsalicylsäure. Dieser hemmt bereits in niedrigen Mengen das Zusammenballen der Blutplättchen. Durch einen Magensaft-resistenten Überzug löst sich die Tablette erst im Dünndarm auf. Deshalb schont ASS Cardio Actavis die Magenschleimhaut.
ASS Cardio Actavis darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin eingenommen werden.
Verhütung von arteriellen Thrombosen nach Operationen der Herzkranzgefässe (Bypass und Beseitigung einer Verengung der Herzkranzgefässe);
Verhütung von Schlaganfällen, nachdem Vorläuferstadien aufgetreten sind (transitorisch-ischämische Attacken, TIA);
Verhütung von arteriellen Thrombosen (Blutpfropfen in Herzkranzgefässen) nach aufgetretenem Herzinfarkt (Reinfarktprophylaxe);
Verhütung von Herzinfarkt bei Patienten und Patientinnen mit einem ärztlich festgestellten hohen Risiko. Gleichzeitig müssen Begleiterkrankungen wie Bluthochdruck, Diabetes (Zuckerkrankheit), erhöhte Blutfettwerte behandelt werden. Zudem sollte das Rauchen eingestellt werden;
Behandlung der instabilen Angina pectoris;
Behandlung bei akutem Herzinfarkt;
Verhütung von arteriellen Thrombosen nach Operationen an Blutgefässen;
Vorbeugung einer Verschlechterung bei Verschlusskrankheit der Arterien.
ASS Cardio Actavis darf nicht ohne Befragen des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin während längerer Zeit oder in höheren Dosen eingenommen werden.
In folgenden Fällen dürfen Sie ASS Cardio Actavis nicht anwenden:
Wenn Sie an einem Magen- oder Zwölffingerdarmgeschwür leiden.
Wenn Sie eine krankhaft erhöhte Blutungsneigung aufweisen.
Wenn Sie überempfindlich sind auf den Wirkstoff Acetylsalicylsäure oder auf andere Entzündungshemmer (Rheumamittel) oder Schmerz- und Fiebermittel. Eine solche Überempfindlichkeit äussert sich z.B. durch Asthma, Atemnot, Kreislaufbeschwerden, Schwellungen der Haut und Schleimhäute oder Hautausschläge (Nesselfieber).
Bei schweren Herz-, Nieren- und Lebererkrankungen.
Wenn Sie gleichzeitig Methotrexat in einer Dosis von mehr als 15 mg pro Woche einnehmen müssen.
In den letzten 3 Schwangerschaftsmonaten.
Bei eingeschränkter Nieren- oder Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion, wie z.B. Volumenmangel, grösseren Operationen, Blutvergiftung oder grösseren Blutungen, ist eine sorgfältige Überwachung notwendig.
Bei chronischen oder wiederkehrenden Magen-Darmbeschwerden und Asthma, bei Nesselfieber, Nasen-Polypen, bei Heuschnupfen oder anderen Allergien, bei einer seltenen erblichen Krankheit der roten Blutkörperchen, dem so genannten «Glucose-6-Phosphat-Dehydrogenasemangel» sowie bei einer Behandlung mit gerinnungshemmenden Mitteln («Blutverdünner»), soll die Einnahme nur nach strengen Anweisungen des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin erfolgen.
Kinder und Jugendliche mit Fieber, Grippe, Windpocken oder anderen Viruserkrankungen dürfen ASS Cardio Actavis nur nach Anweisung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin und nur als Mittel der zweiten Wahl einnehmen. Kommt es bei diesen Erkrankungen oder nach ihrem Abklingen zu Bewusstseinsstörungen mit Erbrechen, sollte unverzüglich der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin konsultiert werden.
Bei gleichzeitiger und längerer Anwendung von ASS Cardio Actavis kann die Wirkung von Kortisonpräparaten, krampflösenden Mitteln (Antiepileptika), Blutverdünnern, Digoxin, Lithiumpräparaten gegen Depressionen und von Blutzucker senkenden Tabletten verstärkt werden. Es kann zu einer Steigerung der unerwünschten Wirkung dieser Arzneimittel kommen.
Sie sollten mit Ihrem Arzt/Ihrer Ärztin sprechen falls Sie gleichzeitig mit ASS Cardio Actavis ein Schmerzmittel mit dem Wirkstoff Ibuprofen einnehmen.
Die Wirkung von Gichtmitteln (Probenecid und Sulfinpyrazon) und Mitteln gegen erhöhten Blutdruck können vermindert werden. Bei Anwendung von Rheumamitteln oder Methotrexat (das z.B. bei chronischer Polyarthritis eingenommen wird) ergibt sich eventuell eine Verstärkung der unerwünschten Wirkungen.
Selbst in kleinen Dosen verringert die Acetylsalicylsäure die Ausscheidung von Harnsäure. Dies kann bei Patienten bzw. bei Patientinnen, welche bereits eine geringe Harnsäure-Ausscheidung aufweisen, Gicht auslösen.
ASS Cardio Actavis kann bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Kortisonpräparaten, Alkohol oder Arzneimitteln aus der Gruppe der sog. Serotonin-Wiederaufnahme-Hemmer gegen Depressionen das Risiko für gastrointestinale Blutungen erhöhen. Auch kann nach kleineren Eingriffen wie z.B. Zahnextraktionen die Blutungsneigung erhöht sein.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen.
Über die Einnahme vor operativen Eingriffen ist der Arzt oder Zahnarzt bzw. die Ärztin oder Zahnärztin zu befragen bzw. zu informieren.
Während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit sollten Sie vorsichtshalber auf Arzneimittel verzichten. Wenn Sie auf Anweisung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin eine Behandlung mit ASS Cardio Actavis während der Schwangerschaft fortsetzen oder anfangen, darf das nur unter strenger Befolgung seiner bzw. ihrer Anweisungen und nur während der ersten 6 Monate der Schwangerschaft geschehen. In den letzten 3 Schwangerschaftsmonaten darf ASS Cardio Actavis wegen einer möglichen Gefährdung des ungeborenen Kindes, der Gefahr von Blutungen und einer möglichen Verzögerung des Geburtstermins nicht eingenommen werden.
Bei regelmässiger Einnahme höherer Dosen während der Stillzeit sollte abgestillt werden.
Falls vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:
Verhütung von arteriellen Thrombosen ohne Bypass-Operation an den Herzkranzgefässen und nach Aufdehnung (Ballondilatation) von verengten Herzkranzgefässen: 100 mg/Tag.
Verhütung von arteriellen Thrombosen nach Bypass-Operation an den Herzkranzgefässen und nach Aufdehnung (Ballondilatation) von verengten Herzkranzgefässen: 100?300 mg/Tag.
Verhütung von Schlaganfällen: 3× 100 mg/Tag.
Verhütung von Thrombosen nach Herzinfarkt und Behandlung der instabilen Angina pectoris: 1× 100 mg/Tag.
Bei akutem Herzinfarkt: Bei Auftreten eines akuten Herzinfarkts wird Ihnen im Spital 200?300 mg Acetylsalicylsäure intravenös verabreicht. Alternativ kann Ihnen ein schnell resorbierendes Acetylsalicylsäure Präparat verabreicht werden, welches Sie oral einnehmen können. Ab dem zweiten Tag beträgt die Dosierung 100 mg ASS Cardio Actavis täglich.
Über die Dosierung und Dauer der Anwendung entscheidet der behandelnde Arzt/die behandelnde Ärztin.
Verhütung von Herzinfarkt bei Patienten und Patientinnen mit einem ärztlich festgestellten hohen Risiko: 1× 100 mg/Tag.
Vorbeugung einer Verschlechterung bei Verschlusskrankheit der Arterien: 1× 100 mg/Tag.
Es empfiehlt sich, die Tabletten mit etwas Flüssigkeit einzunehmen, möglichst nach den Mahlzeiten. Etwa ½?1 Glas Flüssigkeit nachtrinken.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Als Nebenwirkung können Magenbeschwerden auftreten. In seltenen Fällen können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen, wie Schwellung der Haut und Schleimhäute (z.B. verstopfte Nase) oder Hautausschläge oder Asthma, Atemnot sowie Magengeschwüre und Blutungen der Magenschleimhaut, Blutergüsse, Nasenbluten oder Zahnfleischbluten auftreten. Selten kommt es zu Schwindel, Kopfschmerzen, Sehstörungen und Verwirrtheitszuständen.
Treten Zeichen einer Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion auf, ist das Arzneimittel abzusetzen und der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin zu konsultieren. Kommt es während der Behandlung zu einer Schwarzfärbung des Stuhls oder zum blutigen Erbrechen, soll das Arzneimittel abgesetzt und unverzüglich der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin aufgesucht werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Bei unkontrollierter Einnahme (Überdosis) unverzüglich einen Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin konsultieren. Ohrensausen und/oder Schweissausbrüche können ein Hinweis auf eine Überdosierung sein.
Filmtabletten bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) in der Originalpackung und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Sind die Filmtabletten in Kunststoffflaschen abgepackt, so ist die Flasche nach Entnahme einer Filmtablette wieder gut zu verschliessen.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP:» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
