Manuelle Medizin SAMM

Durch àœberlastung oder traumatische àœberdehnung entstehen in einem Muskel oftmals Zonen mit mangelnder Sauerstoffversorgung. Als Folge davon können sich in diesen Gebieten die Muskelfasern nicht mehr voneinander lösen. Diese erkrankten Muskelstellen sind tastbar (Triggerpunkte): durch Druck wird ein Schmerz ausgelöst, der oft in andere Körperregionen übertragen wird (Projizierter Schmerz: "Referred pain"). Aber nicht nur Schmerzen, auch Missempfindungen, Muskelschwächen, Bewegungseinschränkungen, Beeinträchtigung der Koordination und autonome vegetative Reaktionen (Kältegfühl, Schwitzen) können durch Triggerpunkte verursacht werden.

Die Summe aller durch aktive Triggerpunkte ausgelösten Symptome wird als "Myofasziales Schmerz-Syndrom" bezeichnet. Durch eine geeignete Therapie lässt sich dieses oft - und manchmal auch noch nach Jahren - gänzlich beseitigen.

Manuelle Triggerpunkt-Therapie
Die manuelle Triggerpunkt-Therapie IMTT® setzt die Erkenntnisse von Travell und Simons über myofaszialen Schmerz in eine manualtherapeutische Methode um.

Da chronische Schmerzpatienten oft ein verändertes und verkürztes Bindegewebe haben, ergänzte Dr. Beat Dejung das Behandlungskonzept der Triggerpunkte. Er begann, nicht nur die Triggerpunkte selbst, sondern auch das Bindegewebe mittels manueller Techniken zu behandeln. Unser Behandlungskonzept besteht heute aus einem systematischen 6-Schritte-Programm (Swiss approach): vier manuelle Techniken werden ergänzt durch Massnahmen zur Detonisierung/Dehnung und funktionellen Kräftigung der Muskulatur.

Dry Needling
Mit "Dry Needling", der Behandlung myofaszialer Triggerpunkte mit Akupunkturnadeln, können die manuellen Techniken zusätzlich unterstützt werden. Das Dry Needling erweist sich bei vielen Patienten als eine wertvolle Ergänzung zur manuellen Triggerpunkt-Therapie.
